Reading for the 2nd time. Most recently started March 4, 2023.
I feel like the takeaway I got from Braiding Sweetgrass was gratitude. Gratitude for the gifts of the earth in their many forms. Admiration for the land and the animals, plants, and trees that support us all. I felt myself lost in the writing. The soothing words that I soaked up readily. In the end it changed my mindset. It made me think about everyday actions and to love the earth and the resources we use. Not for the ability to use more, but simply to respect that I am not the only one here and I am not more important than the things I gain and use. I feel that this book could touch anyone, in its own unique way.
