feel like I did my duty to western australia's literary scene by reading it, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. Something just does not sit right about a cis man writing a trans narrative in such a close POV, about an experience he could never really experience or capture. especially since Australian publishing does not publish trans stories, certainly not to the hype and buzz this book has received within WA. More thoughts to come perhaps
