That's in the Pantheon of my favorite writer, Julio Cortazar. The surrealists had invented the great catchword daily; Cortázar experimented with it. Everything is always in a subtle shift in time and space, not to be utterly foreign to us but not wholly familiar. To give rise to a bit of anguish, like this traffic jam that lasts long enough for relationships of power, sex, love, or hate to emerge and break up in a way as incomprehensible as it had formed. Nothing is more worrying than that if they brought the fabric of everyday life to pieces; Cortazar knows how to read it more than any other. All the work is to read!
