it was amazing
bookshelves: 2020, kindle-unlimited, bikers, mm

Joker was by far the hardest book to read in the Hell's Ankhor series so far. The story was so beautifully written that I was almost in tears when Joker finally started realizing he was worth something after a lifetime of feeling like he did not matter. Going in I didn't think I would like this story as much as the others because I can't stand when characters self-sabotage themselves through the whole book but with Joker it actually felt like that was normal for him, and it was.

Brennan was so patient with Joker because he could see what was beneath the surface even from the very start. Instead of treating him just like the club clown he really got to know the person Joker was when he wasn’t trying to be anything but himself. Joker and Brennan might be one of my favorite couples in the whole of the Hell's Ankhor series because their story was so real to everyday people like us. There were no outside club issues, no one trying to murder anyone, but it was a nice change of pace to see the softer side of these guys.
