Ten years after the death of his wife and daughter, firefighter, Mike Cavanaugh still hasn't completely gotten over losing them. Then during a bad fire he rescues Christine Palmer. She and her two young children have no one and no place to go so he offers his place. Definitely leery of this offer but with no place to go Chris accepts the offer. That is when the story starts to heat up. I love Robyn Carr's style of writing and have not found a book of her that I didn't like. I loved every minute of this one and was sorry to see it end.
