Listen, I know we all love Murderbot here, so I'm going to gently set it to one side to sing the praises of this book's brand new gem: Miki. I have felt that the series so far has an undercurrent of Murderbot not-quite-realizing that other bots and constructs may also have their own opinions, desires, and wish for free will. Miki is a great example of that, as Murderbot casually underestimates it and assumes its actions are not its own, right up until those choices become undeniable.
Also, Megan's Miki voice was delightful, so that helps.
Anyway, I love Miki and the very delicate relationship between it and Murderbot, and that's the takeaway here.
