it was amazing

I am loving this outtake on the Chicagoland Vampire Series. The daughter of Ethan and Merit has decided to avoid the drama and the politics of the Vampire Houses by not alleging herself to any of them. She wants to define her own identity. Meanwhile she also has a demon living inside of her that she wants to keep from her family.
Remember those kids of your parents friends? You were expected to play together while the parental units drank beers and had barbequed? Well imagine if one of you is the pampered princess? The miracle baby? And imagine if the other is the indulged prince of the werewolves? That would be Connor.
After many years of teasing and pushing each other's buttons these two are finding the fighting to be more intimate now that they are all grown up. But will society allow a Vampire and a Werewolf to be more than friends?
In this book their relationship is progressing. Connor wants to take Elisa on a trip to see a baptism of a new baby werewolf. It's a ritual that few outside of the pack get to witness. Not only does he want to show off his girlfriend to the family and make them accept her, but he also has a mystery he needs her help with.
A wonderful story by an amazing author. Can't wait to read more with these excellent characters!
