This is a story set in England where a little 9 year old girl who is walking home from a neighbor's house goes missing. I suspected all the wrong people and was surprised at the ending. Something bad had happened to Lucie in college 16 years ago, and the story is revealed throughout the chapters flipped from present time to 16 years ago. The incidents weren't as bad as they seemed and different actions would have sorted it all out years ago.
