Fun little novella that expands the world of the Old Kingdom books a bit more. Nice to see Nick being more than the mind-controlled idiot he was in Lirael and Abhorsen.

I think I will always be sad in Old Kingdom stories after the first one because I still want to hear more about Sabriel from the end of her book and all her adventures as the Abhorsen .
