Wow. I had to compose myself after finishing this high octane, adrenaline laced tale. Richard Morgan crafted one extremely sleek novel that blends noir crime fiction with cyberpunk ala William Gibson. Growing up I was a huge fan of the anime Ghost in the Shell and always wished there were more fiction that touched on the themes that resided within it. This book was a blessing. Altered Carbon is followed by Broken Angels and Woken Furies. Which I will read in due time. I really hope that Richard Morgan returns to this setting he has created someday. HIGHEST POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION!
