Well written but somehow simultaneously very irritating. The one character I could empathize with was a white blood cell and I think that says a lot. A good enough story, if formulaic - not unexpected since it's a movie-to-book adaptation.

Also I really don't care for these men's attitude towards the only woman in the group, and shall be sorely disappointed if the book ends without her punching the protagonist. I don't expect it, given it's from the 60s, but hey I can dream"
