I actually enjoyed this follow up memoir to Tender at the Bone more than the first book. Ruth writes about food in such a descriptive way that I can close my eyes and experience it just as she did.
This book picks up where the first one left off and covers the period of Ruth's breakup of her first marriage and her relationship with and eventual marriage to her second husband. It also describes her career trajectory from journalist to well respected food critic.
