it was ok

Meh! Interesting enough to finish, but rather cyclical and predictable. The last witch story almost made me stop reading because one character was so ridiculous to introduce, but I was on an airplane, so I finished it. More continuity between the witches would have helped with depth of character.

Alisa I thought the only good plot detail was the Queen Mum--the only thing unexpected.

Edward Sharon, you are right on with your comments. I may have enjoyed the book a little more than you did, but agree that "meh" sums it up nicely. I also prefer your very brief comments. Most of these long reviews are just as tedious as the book.
