The author puts forth the theory that the deaths of Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria-Hungary and his mistress Marie Vetsera were not a suicide pact, or murder-suicide, but in fact a political assassination at the hands of minions of Otto von Bismark. I always take "new theories" with a grain of salt if I'm not super knowledgeable on a subject, as information is often cherry picked to fit the theory in question, but here he makes a good case. Especially since the official story doesn't make much sense. Fascinating to think how much truth there is out there that we will never know.
