I honestly don't understand why a lot of people rated it so high. The story was so-so for me. The plot was kinda predictable (especially towards the end). The characters were confusing, don't know how to explain properly, but I really find them confusing. I have to admit there were some interesting parts, and those were enough to make me finish the book and not put it down entirely.

I found the Simon Snow excerpts inappropriate, didn't even read them since there was no point in doing so. Those excerpts just seemed like fillers to be honest.

Just...I find this book overrated.
