DNF 50%. Morthain saves me from the boredom, please.
Annith is no Sybella, I don't care about the big reveals whatsoever, and the writing is so freaking dull and dry that even the action parts drag on. I guess I will never know what the fuss what about. Oh well.

I have never read this series, and I probably never will, even though I added the first book a while ago (it's probably because I read the summary and thought it sounded great, like a million books in my "want to read" shelf that I never actually pick up lol), but I don't feel like I'm missing out. XD

This one bored me to tears - I've been trying to read it for MONTHS now, I think it's time to give up, lol.

I've experienced that wth more books this year. I've started dnf-ing WAY more than I did last year. I guess I'm done wasting my time at this point. XD

I've been on the fence about picking this series up again (I read book 1 a billion years ago) but haven't been able to work up the enthusiasm. And now even less. Hope your next read is much better!

I had waited a long time between book 1 and 2 (it always happens with companions dammit) but I still haven't read this one. I've heard it's kind of slow, but maaaaaybe I'll try it? Somewhen?

I don't think it's that bad, that's why I didn't rate it, but yes, it's slow and the story didn't pull me in at all. This said, I have friends who loved it so maybe it'll be the case for you?
Maybe? I saw that you liked book 2 more than book 1, while for me it was the opposite (even if I really like Sybella <3) so I might give it a shot anyway.

Because this one had a similar feel with book 1. I think that in the end, the series wasn't really for me (and book 2 was different so worked)

Book 2 was a bit too fast for me. I loved Sybella and her story with Beast, but I wish the book was longer ahaha
I've been toying with the idea of finishing this series for AGES--really, b/c so many people love it, and almost all of them say #2 kicks #1 booty (which is good, b/c I thought #1 was so boooooring), but if this one is boring, too . . . Mebe not.
