This one didn't do it for me as well as the previous 2 books in the series. Owen and Candi did have a lot of ups and downs in this book. I found myself getting sick of all of the sex they constantly kept having, even through some tumultuous times. Candi and Owen faced some pretty dramatic issues and Candi was subjected to some harsh criticism and racism throughout this book. Owen had reasons for supporting Mara the way he did, however, some of it was too dramatic for me. Mara was put through some unbelievable things by her parents and it was distressing to read what she went through. Her grandmother was sweet and understanding and I had a hard time understanding why her grandmother didn't reach out to Mara prior to their engagement party. Overall an okay read.
