I was devastated after reading this. A very good book with emotionally tormented characters. As always, Jessica Sorensen delivered!

Oh boy, now I understand why people say that you should never judge a book by its cover. This book was recommended by a friend, and obviously I didn't read the blurb that's why.
Delilah 'Lily' Flynn is a twenty-two year old daughter of an Irish-American business man. She has live a life extremely sheltered by her over-protective father. She has no social life, so she spends majority of her time getting lost in her books. Her life changed after being kidnapped in her own room and taken to an unknown location away from her family.
And now, Nox..
He's the type of person who shows deep unhappiness of thought. Man of few words. Hard stare. He knows what is going on but he refuses to let Lily know the reason why she has been kidnapped.
From the beginning they have love/hate relationship. I love how they developed a relationship where they make each other feel safe in the midst of all that surrounds them.
Willing Captive is a charmingly action packed cute romance with a little bit of suspense that will surely captivate you from start to finish. This was my first Belle Aurora book and yes I am totally going to be reading her other books soon....more

“I love you, Fin. I’ve always loved you. Right from the moment you walked up those steps at school, you tripped your way right into my heart. I won’t ever stop. I’ll love you longer than the stars that live in the sky.”
Are you ready to do an ugly cry? Coz if not, I am warning you. This book broke my heart from the very start. Oh the prologue? The prologue shattered me. I was really anxious as to what will happen next.
Finlay 'Fin' Tanner has been inlove with his brother Jake's bestfriend, Ryan Kendall for as long as she can remember. But Ryan is broken, we don't know why until much later in the book. Because of that, he spends much time at Tanner's. Julie and Mike loved him like their own.
Early on the book, Jake and Ryan went to war in Afghanistan. For 6 long years, Fin didn't hear anything from Ryan so she tried to move on. But he was always in her heart. One day, when Jake and Ryan returned home on leave, they reconnected.
Truly this book is beautifully written. I felt sad, heartache, hope and relief. I love the characters. Ryan and Fin will forever etched a mark on my heart because I am indeed inlove with their story.
These are some of my favorite passages:
“There are things we don't want to happen but have to accept things we don't want to know but have to learn, and people we can't live without but have to let go.”
“I have a thick skin, baby,” he told her, his wide shoulders crowing her back against the cool tiles, “but you’re under it. You’re buried in there so deep it’s like I was born with you in my soul.”
“You’re the strongest person I’ve ever known, but someone smart and brave once told me that it’s always the strongest that fall the hardest. You can trust me, Ryan. Let go. I’ll be here to catch you. I’ll always be here.”
“Why did everyone always paint love as pretty rainbows and happily ever afters? It wasn't any of that. To love was to feel the greatest of agony, burn in the hottest fires of hell and fail the only people who mattered.”
