I can genuinely and wholeheartedly say that Ana did not hold back with this book. This isn’t my first Ana Huang book, it isn’t even my second, but with each book, Ana constantly reminds me why she is such a queen and why I keep coming back for more. Ana constructs her books in such a beautiful way and as a big fan of really seeing and feeling the couple fall for each other, my expectations were exceeded once more.
This book has absolutely everything, from the smut, to the slow-burn goodness, the vibrant characters, and up until the incredible writing. King of Wrath is yet another signature Ana Huang package of complete perfection. Dante is a cold and very closed off character at first but paired with Vivian’s fire and no-bullshit attitude, my queen called him out and brought him out of his shell which made me so attached to these two.
I adore how each and every moment between these two served to build on their relationship and on their growth as individual characters. One thing I love about Ana’s books is how it’s not just heavy on the romance, but rather, she also brings it with the dynamic character growth. Seeing them grow together and individually was honestly a highlight of this book especially because the banter was top-tier and continuously left me wanting for more.
Without a doubt, Ana has set the stage perfectly not just for the next book in the series but all the succeeding books in this series. Personally, I would have loved more smut but this book was so flawlessly constructed that I can’t even bemoan it too much. AND!! can we take a moment to talk about the next couple in the series??? I’m absolutely in love with them already and we’ve only gotten a few teasing scenes (in true Ana fashion) of them. (PS if you haven’t heard, I’ve claimed them already)

It's been over a day since I've finished my arc for King of Wrath and I can genuinely say that I'm still not over it. I keep thinking there's more to this book and find myself opening my Kindle thinking there's more to read from such a beautiful story but plot twist: there isn't

It’s genuinely been such a long time since I was able to start a series and connect to characters to the point I cried, laughed, and felt for them. The twisted series reminded me of everything good in romance - of the very reason why it’s the genre I’m most drawn too.
Now, twisted lies, this book was so good to the point that I just couldn’t place it down even when my left eye started turning red from staring at my phone too long. I refused to sleep and kept saying “just one more chapter” and well we all know “just one more chapter” eventually turns into “until i finish this masterpiece” and I did. I genuinely did not expect to devour this book in the time I did given my increasingly busy schedule but it just drew me in and trapped me like a venus fly trap. From the very start, twisted lies promised such decadence in romance, smut, and lifestyle and it definitely delivered in all of those aspects.
Christian and Stella owned me individually before I even received Twisted Lies. However, in Twisted Lies, they absolutely conquered me. They made my heart sing, ache, and throb all at once for them.
Stella is the most relatable character ever, in short: she's amazingly human. She captured my heart from the very first chapter of this book and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I utterly loved watching her personal journey of growth as well.
