I’ve loved this series from the begging and have been excited for more. I was not disappointed.
It’s non-stop action, suspense, twists, and romance from begging to end.
Victoria Marshall made an unlike friend when she was a child. I liked Victoria. She’s got a unique ability and well it didn’t make it easy for her as a child and now as an adult she is still alone, but has a goal. She is protective of her friend and very determined to find and help him after all these years. I don’t want to say to much, because part of the adventure is discovering the surprises along the way.
Luther Henderson has been a staple in the series working for Herman Temple. Temple is one of the bad guys out to capture a drakon. The author really surprised me with who Luther is. I didn’t see that twist coming in the book or series. Luther is a great guy and I loved him.
Luther and Victoria were great together. I loved their blooming romance and seeing them confide and work together to help same a drakon.
The story was so full of surprises, suspense, and action that I couldn’t stop reading. I was sucked in from begging to end. I will say you can read this as a stand alone. The author gives us plenty of information to make it easy to grasp the world and details, but I urge you to check out other previous books. Dragon shifter lovers will enjoy the Blood of the Drakon series.

Sanctuary is book one in Roman’s Chronicles series by Ilona Andrews. It’s part of the Kate Daniels world. I loved Roman in the Kate Daniels books and Sanctuary is book one in Roman’s Chronicles series by Ilona Andrews. It’s part of the Kate Daniels world. I loved Roman in the Kate Daniels books and his interactions with Kate. This novella was a treat for this fan.
Roman, a Dark Volhv, serves the Slavic god Chernobog, the God of Destruction, Darkness, and Death. We get Roman’s backstory and learn how he became the Black Volhv. He’s grumpy, but also has a soft spot especially for animals. He finds humor to balance out the things he has to do for his God.
This is a nice introduction to the Kate Daniels series and a fabulous treat for fans. I loved this novella. It’s full of mythology, kick-ass characters, humor, and more. I highly recommend Sanctuary and all the books/audiobooks written by Ilona Andrews.

I was not sure what to expect or what was in store for me. I picked up Dispelled; because the blurb very much caught my eye. I’ve never heard or read a book with a character that cancels out everything around them. She is a freak of nature an abomination to the magical and shifter community, at least in their eyes. To say she is not liked, is an understatement.
Holly, is one tough women. I felt so much for her. We learn about her family - a few surprises in this area, what it means to be a null - not good, and feel the loneliness she goes through. It’s hard for her to accept that maybe, just maybe she can have more.
Cade her love interest was arrogant, broody, and mysterious, but in a fun way. The banter and sexual tension is strong between them. I like that in the end he doesn't’ walk away and wants to build something with Holly. I’m curious to see how this budding romance will develop.
The secondary characters we meet along the way are all interesting and unique in their own way. I like her assistant / friend and of course she pisses off a few magical creatures who in the end may or may-not be allies in the future.
I was blown away, sucked in, and taken on a magical mystery. I loved all the characters and I loved the mystery. I had no idea who was helping and who was doing what until everything was revealed. Your mind keeps turn along with Holly who wants to solve this mystery not for herself, but for those that lost their life and closer on another issue. The mystery will suck you in.
The only thing I wish and this isn’t a complaint since it’s up to each author to decide, but I would have loved a dual-perspective. I desperately desperately want Cade’s perspective. I wanted/needed to know what that moody and broody man was thinking.
I am excited to see that this will be a series. I look forward to more Holly and Cade and the extended cast of characters. I had a mind-blowing and phenomenal time reading Dispelled.

HAWT DAME the GA for Magic Bleeds was spectacular! I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next GA installment in the Kate Daniels series. It’s a full cast. My goodness I loved all the different voices and sound effects. I was on the edge and couldn’t stop listening. At the end we also get Curran’s POV’s and OMG outstanding.
My original review of the book as well as the original regular audio below:
~ 5 Magic Bleeds Stars ~
HAWT DAME! AMAZING! Another winner in the Kate Daniels series.
We are thrown back into Atlanta and a new threat that will expose Kate even more to those she never wanted to find her.
Emotional turmoil & revelations happen in Magic Bleeds. We have relationship issues, hard chooses that will change everyones futures, and a big mystery to solve. If you don’t know by now I am a FAN of the Andrews team and LOVE this series. It has everything an Urban Fantasy needs, action, adventure, a kick-ass heroine, fantastic world building, amazing secondary characters, and so much more.
HAWT Dame! Yep, Kate and Curran’s relationship explodes in this novel in so many ways. Andrea and Raphael end up imploding (big rift) between them and that relationship was looking so good too. Someone from Kate’s bloodline makes a very big and dramatic entrance into her life and we learn so much from this mysterious person. Last Kate has some very hard chooses to make and one that will affect her deeply and change her future.
Magic Bleeds is a book that will take you away with non-stop action, pulling you into a world full of mystery, magic and so much more. Once I picked this book up I could not put it down and then I had to go and start the next book. Must read series!
Audio: The audio is well worth it. Love listening to the Kate Daniels series.

I read Magic Tides and Magic ClaimsI so LOVE returning to the Kate Daniels world and all it’s exceptional characters and astonishing world-building.
I read Magic Tides and Magic Claims when they first came out, so I’ll put those reviews below for you, but let’s talk about the audiobook.
Hillary Huber and Michael Glenn narrate the Wilmington Years which take place a few years after the original series and after Julie and Hugh’s series starters.
The audio narration for both novels is sublime! Hillary Huber does a glorious job with narrating Kate’s POV. The only issue I had was her voice for Curran I just didn’t fall in love with it like I loved Michael Glenn who narrated Curran’s POV.
As always I was captivated and inthralled. I listened to this in one day. Couldn’t stop. I love the humor, astronomical battle scenes, and characters.
I’d highly recommend the Kate Daniels series. Wither you read or listen you’ll be swept away into a magical adventure. I can’t wait for more.

Individual Review on Magic Tides & Magic Claims Magic Tides is book one in the Kate Daniels: Wilmington Years by Ilona Andrews.
This is part of the Kate Daniels world. We get to return to the world and see how Kate, Curran, and their son Conlan are doing after they left Atlanta.
Magic Tides takes the reader around Kate’s new community, including the local Order chapter, the Farm (home of the People in Wilmington), and the local Pack. It sets the scene for future escapades and potential allies and threats.
I adored and loved this shorty story. The tides have other plans then a simple quiet life for Kate, Curran, and Conlan. The story gives us multiple first person POV’s, but most are Kate’s POV. Even though the story is short it packs a tidal wave of a storyline rich with detail and a well-developed plot.
I love how solid Kate and Curran’s relationship is and how they acknowledge, respect, and understand each other. The banter is so much fun.
One could read this as a standalone, but fans will appreciated it the most. I’d recommend reading the Kate Daniels series. As a fan, I liked it and hope we get more stories.

Man oh man I read this in one day. I picked it up and couldn’t stop. I just adore Kate, Curran and the rest of the gang. I’m over the moon to visit my favorite world and characters again.
Kate and Curran can’t say no to a town in danger. We continue the Kate Daniels storyline in this deliciously breath taking installment.
Those coming to the sereis do need to start from the beginning to get the most out of this outstanding world.
Life for Kate and Curran is about to change. Kate is slowly realizing they can’t sustain the domestic life-style they have enjoyed for a few years now. She will need to face who and what they are which means getting back in the game.
The Andrews team know how to draw a reader in, building up the advance and let them enjoy a ride of their life. We are treated to duel POV’s; Kate and Curran. I love seeing their romance and partnership. It’s so strong. The core group that sounds them continues to grow and Conlan is such a cool child. It love seeing him grow up. As for the evil in the woods. It was cool to discover what was menacing the town and I loved the parallel made between the evil and Kate/Curran. The future looks to be interesting.
I will say I was hoping for more at the end with all the cool things Kate/Curren discover, but I am content. Maybe one day we will find out.
Magic Claims is a great mix of humor, magic, mystery, action and adventure. Urban Fantasy fans you must read this sereis. It’s an adventure you can surely enjoy over and over again.

You can read this before starting the sereis or after any book in the sereis. I read this after reading the first three books in the Mackenzie Green sereis. It was so nice to return to the beginning before the guild was a guild.
We follow Curtis as he uses his gift to save a child and build his guild Catch and Release. We see how the other guilds in Green River are all about money, murder, and mayhem. Curtis will make a Guild that is different and will save the city, but he can’t do it alone.
This story is fun and entertaining. I loved this story. Loved going back to the beginning and learning about Curtis and how his power works. This is a great read.

We start shortly after the events in book one. Mack ends up accepting a gig to be a bodyguard for three nights. Turns out her employer is the man she’s got a crush on.
Mackenzie is such a great character. She’s strong yet venerable shy yet outgoing. Her power is growing and her desire to protect her family and others is powerful.
We get mysteries inside mysteries. I was captivated. The romance is slowly growing past the awkward stage and progressing. The world is great and the characters are interesting.
I enjoyed that we got more of our hero The Dragon Protector.
Green Mage was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the storyline and mysteries. I can’t wait to see were things go in the overall ARC and with our characters.

Val finds herself in another predicament. She can’t say no to helping out Nin’s long lost grandfather. I enjoyed the mystery and reveals in this novel. We get twists and turns, plus some drama. Val handles it all with grace and maturity.
It’s been a journey for Val and I liked seeing her develop and change throughout the series. She finally finds someone to open up to. We see her strengths develop like her learn to use her magic and her sword work improving. We’ve also seen her improve her reputation in the supernatural world.
I was happy with Val and Zav’s relationship in this book. They are finally in a good spot together and they overcame the last of the barriers and secrets between them. I like that they finally cement their relationship.
Zav has learned a lot about humans and he appreciates Val, but he’s still his arrogant dragon self. I liked seeing him grow.
Storm Forged was a great read! We got to see Val end up with a family that likes and loves her as she is and we get to meet so many wonderful characters plus its full of action-packed adventure. Fans of Urban Fantasy will enjoy this series.

I don't remember visitingOct. 2018: Reread the re-release of Nightbloom and loved it!! I felt we got a better understand of Paxon in this re-release. I don't remember visiting his home, but I loved it. Ella is the good girl and she still was, but I felt this time around she was a little to good, if that can be a thing. Really nothing new. I adored Nightwing and my views and rating haven't changed. A fabulous series to read; especially if you are a dragon fan.
~ 4.5 Nightbloom Stars ~
Nightbloom is book three in the Nightwing series by Juliette Cross.
There is just some enchanting about these Morgon men. I am in love and have been addicted since reading book one, Soulfire. The Morgon men have this raw sexual nature that gets your blood boiling and they also protect their mate with such fierceness. I was pulled into Nightbloom from begging to end and could not put it down.
Paxon Nightwing knows that Ella is the one and he sees Ella for who she is and can be. He is confident and sure of himself, but not in an arrogant way, oh no, in a very sexy Morgon/dragon way. I loved him.
Ella is the good girl. She does what is expected of her and she still lives at home enjoying the close relationship she shares with her parents. She is shy and keeps her talent hidden never showing her art to anyone. I enjoyed her transformation from shy to sure of herself.
At the begging is she dating Clayton. Why? Well it makes her parents happy and to say the least they look good together in their social structure. All I can say is Clayton is a dick. He puts on an act in front of her parents, but you can tell he really does not care for Ella. I wanted to smack Ella and say, hey you need to kick this guy to the curb and stand up for yourself. I loved watching Ella come out of her shell, learn that it does not matter what everyone thinks or feels; because she is an amazing women, with an outstanding talent and that their is a man who sees her and will stand buy her always.
The plot is straight forward, with some secrets and blackmail coming to light. The romance was sweet and sexy. The story gives us another tempting look into the world of Morgons’ and it’s city of Gladium, where humans and Morgon’s are slowly bringing their lives together.
Nightbloom is sweet, sexy, and satisfying. The author has done it again. I highly recommend picking up this series. I can’t wait for more.

If you haven’t read the series then I recommend you do and you'll want to start from the beginning. It’s a great Urban Fantasy with lots of action, mystery, amazing world and character building plus a little romance.
Ruby Fever is a non-stop action packed adventure that concludes Catalina and Alessandro's story ARC. Catalina is the second daughter and took over leading House Baylor in Sapphire Flames, but her story really starts in the novella Diamond Fire.
I loved the prequel, the story, and of course our epilogue. Theirs murder, mayhem, a stressed out spider, a Russian Prince, all the characters we have come to love and enjoy, plus the ever looming battle with Arkan; which comes to a head.
Fans of the Hidden Legacy series will not be disappointed. Much is revealed and questions are answered. Of how glorious the reveals are. I loved it!! We finally learn what Catalina’s black wings mean. Oh My God! And, yes more questions pop up: like will Arabella get her own story? Only the author knows!
As always the Andrews team delivered. So much happens, lives are at stake, and Alessandro and Catalina have to work together along with the Baylor family to keep everyone safe. It’s a roller coaster ride from start to finish.
We are also treated to a wonderful short story at the end called A Happy Goodbye. It’s an adorable short that features a wedding, (not saying who's), where we learn a little more about everyone and what is happening in their lives. It’s a nice treat and a sweet HEA.
I couldn’t put Ruby Fever down. After I finished I wanted to listen to the audio. I love reading this series, but I also love the audiobooks for it as well. I’m never disappointed when I pick up an Andrews book and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Nalini Singh is back with another exciting installment in the Psy-Changeling world. I’ve been a fan of the series for many years and I always look forNalini Singh is back with another exciting installment in the Psy-Changeling world. I’ve been a fan of the series for many years and I always look forward to a new book. This is true with Last Guard, the fifth book in the spin-off series Psy-Changeling Trinity.
This time around we focus on two Psy. The Psy are emotionless beings, but with silence gone some are waking up. I’m not a big fan of the Psy; because of this emotionless state, but this time around I enjoyed diving more into the Psy world. The author introduces use to a new designation, the anchors, which are a unique designation. We know nothing about them, but we get to explore that aspect and learning more about the virus that is affecting the Psy net.
The romance is a slow build, as expected, but it burns bright. I enjoyed Payal and Canto’s budding relationship. They were cute together even while still having spines of steel.
One of the things I really enjoyed in this installment is Canto and his disability. The Psy are known for removing those that aren’t perfect. It was a pleasant surprise to learn about him and see that his family, the Mercant’s, never saw him as less. It’s a powerful read and/or listen.
Singh’s writing is one of my favorites. She builds the world and characters bring out all the details and never skimping. The world has and still continues to blossom.
Audio: Angela Dawe continues to impress me with her voices. I was captivated from begging to end and enjoyed listening to Last Guard. The voices are distinctive and unique. The pace is consistent. I highly recommend the audiobook!
Last Guard was a compelling listen. I loved returning to the world and I look forward to the next installment. You can never go wrong with a Nalini Singh Psy-Changeling book.
The Stone God is a brand new fantasy series by Erin Kellison.
I went into The Stone God not too sure if I’d enjoy. I’ve had hit and misses with fantasyThe Stone God is a brand new fantasy series by Erin Kellison.
I went into The Stone God not too sure if I’d enjoy. I’ve had hit and misses with fantasy books that feature gods playing with peoples lives. It took me a bit to get into the story, but once I understood the rules of the world I couldn’t put the novel down and read way too late.
The gods play their selfish games moving humans and their offspring around to suit themselves, but there is more at play than the gods playing around.
This novel is full of action, intrigue, adventure, and a bit of romance. Kellison captures the character’s identity’s, thoughts, and emotions. The eccentric gods and characters are delightful, captivating, and they have depth. You end up feeling the characters emotions, heart break, struggles, and happiness.
Terah wants nothing to do with the gods, but she ends up caught up in the gods schemes and is forced into a position that she doesn’t want nor is ready for. I adored Terah! She’s forthright, polite, tactful, and challenges herself. We see her take everything in stride and not waver from her beliefs.
As for the romance; Terah has a love interest dangled in front of her. What I liked is that she doesn’t just jump in. I’m not sure on the romance aspect yet, but there is potential. The other thing I liked about the romance is that it’s in the background and plays second to what is playing out on the main stage.
The Stone God turned out to be an unexpected treat. Its suspenseful, fun, gripping and full of sly humor. There is so much at play and I can’t wait to dive into the next book.

Briggs has done it again. I was captivated and couldn’t stop. I ended up staying up way too late listening to Wild Sign. It was more than I expected.
The Alpha & Omega series is different in its pacing to the Mercy Thompson series. It starts off a bit slow, but then things pick up and away we go.
I just adore and love seeing Charles and Anna together. Their working and personal relationship keeps growing and we learning new things in each novel.
I relish learning about The Merracks pack and expanding the world and characters in the Alpha & Omega series. This time around we get to dive into Leah’s past and see how she ended up mated to Bran. Now I never cared much for Leah and still I’m not a fan, but I understand her better. I still feel Bran could have something better, but for some reason their weird relationship works.
It was a delight seeing and work with Tag who is one of the Merracks out of control wolves. Tag gets too tag along with Anna and Charles to Wild Sign where they must find out what happened to this small peaceful town.
I treasure the appearances of characters that pop up in these novels. This time we get Coyote and also Samual, who is one of Bran’s son. Last, the ending had me elated and sad. I so can’t wait for the next novel.
Audio: Holter Graham continues to do a masterful job narration the Alpha & Omega series. He sets the tone, enhances the characters, and adds another layer of depth to the story. I love the narration and highly recommend the audiobooks.

I'm so glad this novella is published on its own.
Shelly Laurenston writes her Dragon Kin series under the name G.A. Aiken.
I love her Dragon Kin series. The world she creates is fun and entertaining. This novella was wonderful to read! It's quick, cute, and funny! Fans of the Dragon Kin series will want to read and toughs whom have not read will enjoy the story as well.
It's about Ailean the Wicked also know as Ailean the Whore as well as many other names and Shalin the Innocent. Ailean a dragon male does not want to settle down, but eventually finds that one dragoness whom he can't live without and has to help save her from a mean princess bent on revenge.
Audio April 2020: I listened to Can't Get Enough in Everlasting Bad Boys. I couldn't get enough ^_^! I loved the audio and had a blast with Shalin and Ailean. I've been waiting. I hope the audio comes out on it's own too, but I'll have to wait and see.

Blood Heir is book one in the Aurelia Ryder series by Ilona Andrews. It’s part of the Kate Daniels world.
For those familiar with the Kate Daniels world this one is read after book #10, Magic Triumphs. This novel features Julie and Derek who we got to see in the Kate books, but now they are grown-up and both are new people with different names and life experiences.
If you haven’t read the Kate books than no worries. You could jump into Blood Heir as a a whole new series, though I recommend reading the Kate Daniels series first.
The Andrews team does a fantastic job recapping events, people, and introducing the world. For those familiar with the world, you will not find this tedious. They do such a good job weaving this information in that it feels like it was always meant to be.
In true fashion we have so much action, adventure, and a mystery. There is an overall ARC which is not completed here, but will continue in however many books the authors write for this series. I loved the feel, the pace, and everything about this novel. It swept me away. It was everything I expected and so much more. As a fan I had some giddy emotions; especially when we heard or saw old characters pop up. We learn new things about them and see that life goes on. We also get to meet new characters that are so interesting and unique. I'd love to tell you more, but each word, page, and chapter is a surprise.
As for the romance nothing happens, yet! There are hints that the dance may have started, but I'm not sure and I don’t think Julie aka Aurelia has noticed. Who knows yet what direction the Andrews team will take. Whatever direction they go it’s going to be a slow burn and build, which I’m all for. The Andrews team know how to build and I can’t wait for the ride.
The mystery in this one is captivating. We do the whole PI experience, but with magic and mythical creatures that it keeps you glued to the pages just wanting to know what will happen. Atlanta sure has changed too. We get the low down with Aurelia on the factions and it’s not what it was when Kate was patrolling and holding it strong. There are hints that things have changed in the Pack and Atlanta. I’m so curious to see what is going on with the Pack and in Atlanta.
Blood Heir is one addictive ride and one misstep could lead to disaster. I LOVED it!!
Audio 2021: The narration is AMAZING!! I was swept away. Found some new things I missed my 1st time. Loved the voices.

Val seems to find herself in another predicate and misunderstanding. She accepts a job as a bodyguard to a mega rich tech mogul, her friend Darius turns up missing, vampires are attacking people and vanishing, and Zav wants her to learn to keep dragons out of her mind. What’s the Death Reaper to do?
Val and Zav’s relationship progresses and we have a lot of sexual tension, but that doesn’t take away from the fast-paced action and adventure. We see a lot of growth and changes in Zav. He’s still pompous and arrogant dragon we all love, but also see he’s growing and changing for the better.
The mystery in this one was fun to unravel. The side-characters are enjoyable and are more a part of the storyline now then at the beginning of the series. Last, the banter between characters is entertaining and the world is ever growing. I like the direction things are taking.
Fans of Urban Fantasy will enjoy this series. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Val and what her elven powers will be once fully unlocked.

This was another fun one to listen too. I love the characters, world, and mystery. I was sucked in and on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next. We are treated too twists and surprises that all lead to a satisfying ending.
Verity and her side-kick Gangster Ghost Frankie find themselves looking into the murder of one of the townsfolk. Everyone is pointing the finger at her, but Ellis our sexy deputy is on her side.
Verity’s life is never dull, with a murder, a hidden document that will change the towns history, a cheating ex fiancé who won’t leave her alone and her current boo, Ellis.
I just adore this series. It’s so much fun with it’s witty dialogue and exceptionally fun mystery. I like the light-hearted moments and the ghosts we meet along the way. The romance is second to the mystery and I enjoy that.
Narration: Tavia Gilbert remains a fantastic narrator for this series. Her voices are perfect for the characters and add to my enjoyment. I just love her voices for Verity and Frankie. The deluge just pops for me with her narration.
The Skeleton in the Closet is a delightful listen and a great mix of paranormal mystery blended with a cheerful small Southern town charm.

Verity is brave, witty, and not Southern Spirits is book one in the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries series by Angie Fox and narrated by Tavia Gilbert.
Verity is brave, witty, and not above putting herself in danger to help those that need it; even if they are dead. She’s a southern belle with all the charm and modern progressiveness.
When we start Verity is in a predicament. If you discovered your fiancee cheating would you have gone throw with the wedding? I’d have done what she did, yet the family she was tangled up with are considered the local society big wigs and the head of the house is trying to rune her.
In comes Frankie our inappropriate gangster ghost. It was totally an accident that Verity ends up with this character as her roommate, but I love it. He adds a lot of humor, character, and silliness to the story.
Ellis is her exes brother and the middle son of the family who made her life difficult. He choose to go his own way and is one of the local police officers. He’s not fond of Verity in the beginning.
I was captivated the moment I started listening to this novel. It was a lot of fun! The characters are hilarious, fun, and easy to connect with. Verity is in a situation that exceeds her and yet she’s determined to go all the way! The mystery is a red herring and keeps you guessing. The story isn’t a romance, yet Verity gets to know Ellis a little more. I liked that Ellis gradually realized who Verity is and I’m curious to see what might happen. I also loved the interactions with all the ghosts we meet and the investigation was entertaining.
Audio: This series is narrated by Tavia Gilbert. She is talented. All the characters came alive. I loved the voices for each character. They fit them and the southern charm and dialogue just jumped out.
I bought this audio a while back when Audible had a first in the series sale. I can’t believe it took me this long to discover the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries series. I devoured this audio and I had so much fun that I can’t wait to start the next book. I highly recommend this paranormal cozy mystery.
