Sadly, the historical event only took up a few pages of the book and it didn't impact me as being super factual. I did like the relationship between the main characters and found a lot of the quotes relatable. However, they also put themselves in some pretty compromising situations that were not wise. There was also some good Christian content. The writing overall was not impressive and could have used a lot more proofreading (I just realized that I received an ARC so that may account for some of the writing mistakes).
Thank you to NetGalley for a free ARC.
