i read this one in one day and went in blindly - which is what i recommend to do! it quickly sucks you into the new york fashion world and lora’s life as an intern at elle magazine. when she meets cat, however, things start to change for her…
be sure to pick this one up if you get the chance! you won’t regret it....more
i’d like to thank netgalley, st. martin’s press, and emilia hart for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! this is an EXCELLENT book ai’d like to thank netgalley, st. martin’s press, and emilia hart for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! this is an EXCELLENT book and definitely one of my favorites that i’ve read. it’s an incredible story featuring some amazing female characters and a great storyline.
this book goes back and forth between three POV’s and normally multiple timelines bother me but I really enjoyed this one! i was equally invested in all of the stories and they all contributed to the story. i liked that the author made some POV’s have shorter chapters at times to speed everything along.
i loved the different time periods in this one and could fully invest in each of them. even though i liked all of the stories, i fell most in love with violet’s. she’s a great character and i liked her unique interests.
i highly recommend this one! it has some great themes and is a perfect read for fall especially....more
thank you netgalley, st. martin's press, and sally hepworth for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! the soulmate completely blew me thank you netgalley, st. martin's press, and sally hepworth for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! the soulmate completely blew me away and i read it in one day because i couldn’t put it down! i loved this one and it had just enough twists and turns to keep me hooked, plus short chapters, which i always love.
this book follows pippa and gabe after they move into a new house alongside a cliff with their two daughters. however, this cliff is also known in their town as being “the drop” where people often commit suicide. at the beginning of the book a woman shows up there and falls to her death, but pippa thinks it looked like gabe pushed her. could he have killed her?
this plotline immediately hooked me but there’s also smaller twists as well and plenty of family secrets. it switches pov’s from pippa to the mysterious woman who died, which was interesting. i’m not usually a big fan of mystery thrillers because i’m pretty picky, but this one was amazing! i highly recommend it....more
