"....Oh, OK!" HEA.
Not a fan of that. If something can be fixed in 1/3rd of a page, it's not a black moment....it's not even really a grey moment.
Would I try this author again? Sure. One more couldn't hurt. It was otherwise an okay read. Some issues with "fixing" one family and ignoring all the other kids, shallow backstory, and and overwhelming secondary love story, but still not bad....more

A PITA mother who basically railroads everyone and basically stole control of the librarian's living arrangements, privacy, and dog.
I skipped to the end after skimming over and additional 20% to see if it got any better, and just when the big reveal happened (really? 3 pages from the end) the set goes dark. Really? It's about to get interesting and you decide to do an "8 Years Later" epilogue?
Rambling, slow, annoying. I won't try this author again.
Also, that cover (and I'm not marking for that bc I know the poor author has nothing to do with it) - is so YA...it's been a bunch of YA covers and everything. That is not a 29yo and 30-something on the cover. ...more

I echo all the other reviews that say how much this story took them by surprise.
It is more than a romance -- it's about love. Love and the many ways it's expressed and the many different types of love there are. What is sacrifice? What is the right thing? What is the best thing? And what do you do if you have to make love "fit" in with everything else?
I would definitely suggest giving this book a chance....more
