'The world is neither kind nor is it cruel. It simply exists. We have the ability to view it however we choose.” - Very wise words by Thomas Cresswe
'The world is neither kind nor is it cruel. It simply exists. We have the ability to view it however we choose.” - Very wise words by Thomas Cresswell aaaand a new favorite quote. “Catch me if I fall, all right?” A smile curved his lips in a most delightful manner. “I’ve already fallen hard, Wadsworth. Perhaps you should have warned me sooner.” - JUST LOOK AT THIS BABE aka Thomas Cresswell owner of Audrey her heart but also krizies. This revieuw contains no big spoilers about the first book and also not about this book itself so you are save here xxx This sequel of Stalking Jack the ripper, Hunting prince Dracula Takes place right after Audrey and Thomas solved the jack the ripper case in london in book two. After the events in book one Audrey her father starts approving the intrestst Audrey has and gives her the possibility to go to the most famous forensic medical school in Romania. So this book takes place in a school setting witch is a trope i always very much love and it takes place in Romania. I myself am not romania so i cant say if the knowledge about Romania we are given in the book is correct but i enjoyed it and its vibes very much and truly felt like i was there. Kerri Maniscalco just has a way with truly transporting you to the athmosphere of the book and the setting so far i had that with all the other books i have read by her witch is the best feeling because you just feel like you are there with Audrey and Thomas. However while they are there trying to study in '' peace '' murders are happening in the school and Audrey and Thomas again want to find out who is doing the murders. There is also a lot of mytology in this book witch i personally really enjoyed as the people in this fantasy Romania believe in mytology such as vampires and secret societies etc. a lot + the murders seem like a vampire commited them HMMM.... Meanwhile Audrey is still half pretending to not totally be in love with our Thomas and Thomas is still trying to win her over and they have lots of cute moments and are just amazing. So we have again a very good murder mystery i again did not guess who did it but that might be because i am litterally a dumb potatoe with murder mysteries. Has again the romance i loved frokm book one and the lots of banter but also very much depht. Like for real Cressworth now owns my heart < 3 definitly one of my favorite romances. The vibes of the book are again great and i lovethe mytology. I love Audrey Rose she is a queen. She can be stubborn but she is very brave , passionate , funny and just a queen that knows what she wants. i stan. Overall i loved this sequel and feel like if you loved the first book you will definitly also love this one. excited to jump intoo the next one ! ALSO I HEARD IT HAS CARIVAL SETTING another one of my fav settings like YAS ...more |

“People were made up of all sorts of different bits, Dru thought. Funny bits and romantic bits and selfish bits and brave bits. Sometimes you saw only a few of them. Maybe it was when you saw them all that you realised you knew someone really well.” this revieuw has spoilers marked and is other then that save to read This triology is definitly from now on my favorite Cassandra Clare work. I need the wicked powers right now and i need to make sure my bbys are okay because i am not okay. I loved this final instalment of the Dark Artifices triology. It had everything i wanted. It kept me hooked from the first to last page. The last 50 pages was basically just me sobbing at every scene because i knew it would endand all these charracters and this family has become so dear to me. This is a triology i will always re-read and has made it to my all time favs. Like this triology deserves just as much hype as TID has. Reasons to read this triology asap - Lots of diversity and different reps ; transgender , lgtbq + , poly , mental health. - Forbidden romance with lots of chemistry and tension and anxiety - The importance of family as main subject of the book and they are ADORABLE. - Shadow hunter drama because we all love it - a plot that keeps you at the edge of your seat that explores the shadow hunter world even more. - banter - AnxIetY - amazing charracters. Like all these charracters deserve the world and Cassandra Clare is just the best at making you care about charracters and their dynamics together and that is the key for me for loving a book , caring about the charracters because that makes the plot 10 times more intresting aswell because you care what happends. Plot wise i do think this triology is the best series of Cassandra Clare aswell. I also love all the TMI charracters their appearance in this triology and how every shadow hunter book just connects and all the mentions. But above all this triology is a story about love and about family and how love and family are the most important things out there and i love that. the stakes are high constantly and cassie just gives me anxiety troughout the whole book and i am scared 24/7 so yes. small spoiler I also highly love what Cassandra Clare did with the relationship between Mark , Christina and bby Kierran like no jelousy and a poly rep. i love how she explored the connection the three of them have together and i just love it. cassie is a queen of reps and the queen at making love triangles actually GOOD. i mean tid , this one they dont even feel like love triangles. Jules and Emma own my heart. The whole Blackthorn family owns my heart , Kit and Ty do , mark christina and kierran do , queen diana and gwyn do like they all do ok. cassie is queen of charracters and dynamics. THIS SCENE HAD ME SOBBING OK?! SPOILER SCENE !!!! “You think you can’t survive without Livvy, but you can. We will go through it together.” Kit’s face was cold; he realized he was crying. “I love you, Ty. I love you.” - THE MOMENT MY HEART BROKE INTO 1000 thousand pieces. ...more |

NO NO NO NO NO NOOOO. this ending cant be happening , i wont accept this. Cassandra Clare you are a MONSTER. This book is the perfect sequel to Lady NO NO NO NO NO NOOOO. this ending cant be happening , i wont accept this. Cassandra Clare you are a MONSTER. This book is the perfect sequel to Lady Midnight. Its again filled with the heartwarming family dynamic of the Blackthorns and amazing charracter dynamics between all the charracters we follow in the triology , anxiety and emotions because ofc its Cassie Clare , romance again full of anxiety that makes me scream , amazingly worked out charracters and an action paced plot. This triology for sure has the best plots of Cassandra her shadowhunter books in my opinion. These charracters now mean the world to me and i love them all also Diana is a true queen and her rep is A + also protect ty at all cost bye. I love the way Cassie keeps adding reps in her books because its so important that we have all different sorts of charracters and reps to relate to and to be informed about. favorite quotes Fiction is truth, even if it is not a fact. If you believe only in facts and forget stories, your brain will live, but your heart will die.” “Everyone is afraid of something. We fear things because we value them. We fear losing people because we love them. We fear dying because we value being alive. Don't wish you didn't fear anything. All that would mean is that you didn't feel anything.” “We get used to living one way, even if it's a bad way or a hard one. When that's gone, there's a hole to fill. It's in our nature to try to fill it with anxieties and fears. It can take time to fill it with good things instead.” “He remembered something about darkness, about pressure and weighted blankets and silence. Though he had no idea how he was going to get hold of any of those things up on top of a building. "Tell me," Kit said. Tell me what you need. "Put your arms around me," said Ty. His hands were pale blue blurs in the air, as if Kit were looking at a time-lapsed photo. "Hold on to me." He was still rocking. After a moment, Kit put his arms around Ty, not knowing what else to do.” - MY HEART. “Because when this universe was born, when it blasted into existence in fire and glory, everything that would ever exist was created. Our souls are made of that fire and glory, of the atoms of it, the fragments of stars. Everyone’s are, but I believe ours, yours and mine, are made from the dust of the same star. That’s why we’ve always been drawn to each other like magnets, all our lives. All the pieces of us belong together.” - they break my heart every page. ...more |

“It doesn’t go away. It never will. But when it hurts, lean into it. It’s so much harder to stay alive. That doesn’t mean you don’t deserve to live. It means you’re brave.” “War didn't end, not so cleanly — it just kept building up in little hurts that piled on one another until they exploded afresh into raw new wounds.” “Maybe no one was truly a beast. Maybe that was just how murder became possible. You took away someone’s humanity, and then you killed them.” 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this revieuw is very spoiler free for all 3 the books and doeswnt contain major spoilers for them , the end does but those spoilers are marked. First lets scream about the ending of this book and how its one of the best ending i ever read, how it all makes sense and how it is exactly the only way this triology could have ended. i saw it coming but i was still screaming and sobbing have a tea party with all my tears. Definitly an amazingly created ending to this masterpiece of a triology about the cruelty of war , the cruelty of humanity , how war can change a person and how very morally grey it is. If you want a morally grey themed triology and you dont shy away from heavy themes and detailed rape scenes etc. and you want your thoughts to be twisted then pick this triology up because its worth it. R.F Kuang did an amazing job creating a high fantasy story inspired by the cruelties in China , Japan and colonization of these countries by the west. And it makes you truly aware of the world. What a queen is this author. Elements in this triology - high fantasy story with in it ; War , Military politics , found family of murderers aka the Cike , heavy detailed triggering scenes that deal with murder and rape and torture , the poppy war - chapter 21 especially , very light romance , female/male platonic relationship aka Kitay and Rin < 3 , morally grey themes and charracters , heartbreaking ending , fantasy elements coming from shamanism and gods. The Burning God is the final book in the Poppy war Triology by R.F Kuang. The poppy war triology follows Rin a dark skinned orphan living in the south of the empire of Nikan which is a fantasy country based on China during world war two and the civil wars after. The triology follows her as she rises untill she is a military commander and wnats the country to be '' free ''. The triology is a high fantasy triology inspired by the situations of China aka Nikan in the books during the time of world war two with Japan and China , here as fantasy countries. And the times after world war two with the civil wars happening in China , it also deals with western colonization in China. I gave the first two books both 5 stars and loved them somuch and overall i also give this triology 5 brilliant stars , i also enjoyed this final book a lot but it wasnt a 5 star for me more like a 4 .5 star. I felt like compared to the other books it was slower and i had some parts of the book that had me a little bored as it was for my feelings slower paced then the other two books and more build up towards the ending. It still dealt with the heavy war themes and morally grey charracters as the previous books did and again made me aware and sad and twisted inside. It messed my moral compass up again and it got me thinking about it a lot when i was not reading , i still love all the main charracters so much even tho they are all so morally grey. They are amazingly crafted and i loved how their journey continued in this book. The ending is truly amazing and i loved it somuch even tho i am heartbroken rn. I did have some elements from the previous books that where not in this book anymore that i will discuss in my spoiler section and because of those elements missing i sometimes felt a little bored and coudnt give this 5 stars. I still loved it mostly especially the ending. As a whole i reccomend this triology somuch if you can handle heavy themes and i feel like everyone should read and experience this story. This triology is definitly in my top 5 of all time fav series now. just read it , you will thank me for it. this is what the author says bout the triology and it describes it perfectly ; The question the trilogy tries to answer is: how does somebody go from being an irrelevant, backwater, peasant nobody to being a megalomaniac dictator capable of killing millions of people? I’ve always been interested in how people become murderers or perpetrators of genocide.” You love Rin and Hate Rin and all the other charracters and it all twistst your mind up. SPOILER SECTION , DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVENT READ THE WHOLE SERIES , contains spoilers from all three the books Okay so the ending is perfect. The books ending with Rin dying and Kitay because of their bond , it is how the series was suposed to end all allong , Rin being aware she is to power hungry , it hurt so much but its the way it suppoed to be and i expected it tbh i just saw it coming and its the perfect emotional ending. Nezha now needing to continue leading and trying to make a change is just perfect. in the end rin surrended herself knowing there wasnt any truly good she could do and she sacrificed herself for a better world and my heart breaks because of that and poor bby kitay being also deaTH my cinnamon roll ,my precious bby. also venka FUCK NO. the elements i really missed in this story where the cike and the found family vibes and the added humor by them, i am still so sad about their death and they really added the in my opinion needed humor during the first two books and that wasnt here anymore and i know these books arent supposed to be fun but i still missed these elements of them and the found family vibes. also all the mentions of them and altan etc. had me crying and sobbing. they made the other books get to the 5 star from 4.5 and without them it was more 4.5 stars you get me ?? i miss my byys ok ? : ( I also love the '' romance '' i can better say charracter dynamic between Nezha and Rin its so powerfull without any real romance in it but their dynamic as opposites is so well crafted and i loved it in this book still. I also love the whole story line of the empress and the dragon and gate keeper a lot. ...more |

“But eventually, you'll have to ask yourself precisely what you're fighting for. And you'll have to find a reason to live past vengeance.....” ☪☾] o “But eventually, you'll have to ask yourself precisely what you're fighting for. And you'll have to find a reason to live past vengeance.....” ☪☾] one of the best triologies out there. if you dont mind a really heavy book then read this triology because its amazing ***sobs *** yessss hellooo i am krizzie and i just wanted tooo mention first that this book again obv. destroyed me and i am still in denial about that ending and i wont accept it. It didnt happen and all of these charracters are happy and there is no war anymore. I am still staring at the wall wondering what i need too do with my life now after finishing this masterpiece. Take this warning from me , this book will destory you just as the first did maybe even more. So yes be prepared and bring a lot of tissues and chocolade and things too throw against the wall if you start this book because i promise you , you will need it. All i want too do after finishing this book is scream intoo the void so yes , pain is what they call that. ALSO THIS BOOK IS AGAIN A FREAKING MASTERPIECE and everyone who doesnt mind a heavy book , and then i mean really heavy with all trigger warnings you can imagine then READ THIS * thorws the books at your face * because this triology is amazing and one of the best i ever read. Okay on too the actual revieuw that isnt just me screaming. This revieuw does not contain large spoiler about the book itself , it does contain spoilers for the Poppy war The Dragon Republic Is the emotional destroying sequel too the Poppy War By amazing author R.F Kuang. As the first book was based on the events happening in Asia in world war two between Japan , in this book the federations and China , in this book Nikan. This book is based on the civil wars in China that took place in 1945-49. And its also about western , which is this books are the Hesperians attempts too take China in this case Nikan. Its so morally grey and based on true events. It makes you think about different sides in a war and the fact that everyone thinks of themselves as the good side trough their perspective but in the end every side is wrong and does wrong things and everyone is in a blur of morally greyness , this book shows like the first one again the bruality and turth of war witch really makes you feel and disgusted in humanity , it spreads awareness of events that happend in this world and it makes you constantly question who is the good side and if there even is a good side. It also shows how war can form people and how it can change people especially in our main charracter Rin The books is also about the seperation that can be in a country just because one half of the country is darker skinned then the other side of the country. And how people can believe somuch in their own and find them self superior that other races and believes dont matter which you really see in this book with the hesperians that only believe in white >>> asian people and that asian people are not capable of doing anything. But the story in this book is also about hope , about hope for a better country and fighting for this. Overall this sequel is so powerful. Its very fast paced and every page something is happening either emotions or action scenes. And like in the first one it makes you very uncomfy , its addictive , the charracters are all so morally grey and no one is just good but even tho all of them have flaws you cant help but root for them. The charracters are real and raw and you see how the war changes them. This book again shows the truth of war and judging people by differences in their looks or believes. There are amazing complicated friendships again like the cike , Nezha and Rin , Kitay and Rin , Venka and Rin. and overall it just again makes you aware of the issues in this world and the things that happend and are still happening while also being an amazing fantasy with again the amazing fantasy elements like in the first one further expanded. This sequel just has it all and i loved it just as much as the poppy war and if you loved the poppy war i assure you that you will love this masterpiece aswell. the books is just really a joruney of me asking who the fuck is good here and is anyone good? It makes you wonder what evil truly is and if something evil justified because the reason behind it is good ? The charracters all the charracters are morally grey and have their own journey and their own meaning in Rin her story of struggeling trough the wars. Rin ☪☾ - Rin is still one of my new favorite morally grey charracters ever. The way R.F Kuang created her is just mindblowing. She is not good oh no definitly not but she is real and she is an example of someone struggeling in war and how war can change you for the better but also for the worse. She has been trough somuch and my bby is in somuch pain again in this book and i just want her too be happy. She uses anger as a superior emotion because she is scared of feeling other things and thinking about everything the war '' made '' her do. In this story she again trieds too figure out what role too play in this war and on which side too fight. While also struggeling with the consequenses of the events that happend in The Poppy War and her addiction too opium and the struggle with her power of the Phoenix. “The anger was a shield. The anger helped her to keep from remembering what she'd done. Because as long as she was angry, then it was okay — she'd acted within reason. She was afraid that if she stopped being angry, she might crack apart.” Kitay ☪☾ Kitay has been trough somuch and plays a bigger role in this book. In Kitay you also see a person changed by war in a different way then rin , because war changes everyone differently. Kitay is still an hilarious cinnamon roll but he is also broken by the events of chapter 21 in the poppy war. Kitay deserves all happiness and i love him somuch. '' now i cant figure out who is right or wrong. and i am the smart one. I'm always suppoed to have the right answers , but i dont. '' The cike aka my precious bbys that i love somuch , the found family < 3 ☪☾ The cike are my favorite thing ever and i love them somuch so so much. They are just amazing okay? Found family gets me everytime and especially a found family of morally grey murderous creatures like this squad. The way they care for each other and stick by eachother side trough everything is beautiful and makes me so happy inside. They are the unlikely friends that are there for eachother as a reflection for eachother that they are not alone in this war , they are eachothers mirrors for eachothers struggles and pain. We have Ramsa the brilliant sarcastic kiddo , Baij the king of inappropriate jokes , Suni the broken soul who is hard too get too know but who has somuch kindness in him , Chagan who seems like a hypocrite but is hurt inside. Tyr didnt give up on us. we are not giving up on you. this is why the cike exists. she stared at them , stricken. she didnt deserve this , whatever this was , it wasnt friendship , she didnt deserve that , it wasnt loyalty either , she deserved thst even less. but it was camaraderir , a bond formed by a common betrayel. I also loved seeing Venka back in the charracter squad and this book twisted with my mind somuch with who is good and who is bad and it had somany twistst regarding the charracters that left me shook if you readed you know where i am talking about rip. Charracter dynamics ☪☾ i love all the charracter dynamics somuch , about some of them i cant say anything because spoilers. But i love the cike , kitay and rin their growing friendship had me so emotional and warm inside , Venka and Rin. Rin writes all these dynamics so subtle but so good and they all make you feel. some of my favorites quotes ☪☾ '' She was starting too see why the Hesperians clung so fervently to their religion. No wonder they had won converts over so easily during occupation. What a relief it would be too know that at the end of this life there was a better one , that perhabs upon death you might enjoy the comforts you had always been denied instead of fading away from an indifferent universe. What a relief to know that the world was supposed to make sense , and that if it didn't you would one day be just compesated. '' They believe in a singular and all-powerful deity, which means they cannot accept the truth of other gods. And when nations start to believe that other beliefs lead to damnation, violence becomes inevitable.” '' Are you high ? Ramsa let out a shrill cackle. '' tigers tits , Chagan is high. '' '' im.... no. '' '' Quick someone ask him if he is always constipated or his face just looks that way. '' - WHEEEEZE. my bbys. * screams in pain * - the scene where rin is in rehab from her addiction and suni comes too her and helps her <3 - SPOILERS FOR THE DRAGON REPUBLIC favorite scenes , heartbreaking moments etc. ☪☾ -the scene where kitay and rin joined their souls together was so freaking beautiful , the way they truly saw eachother. - Rin and Nezha their friendship and hint on romance witch ofc gets destroyed again ofc ofc. - THE ENDING. the fucking CIKE DIED. and i am in denial i wont accept it i just wont. it didnt happen. i just caNT. and then nezha his betrayel oh lord NO. But he warned rin somany times , he asked her somany times too stay because he knew he '' had '' too betray her when she went away. FUCK. the foreshadowing my bbys. - wha the fuck too think of Su Daij now ??? IDK MEN. this book fucked with my mind somuch because now i have sympathy for that woman and ugh idk. - the Reunion between rin and the cike , suni taking her of the ground in a hug. i sobbed. MY BYYS and now they are gone i want too die , like for real i cant handle this pain. BYE. - kitay is the best friend too rin ever , fight me. ...more |

“Love and loss,” he said, “are like a ship and the sea. They rise together. The more we love, the more we have to lose. But the only way to avoid loss
“Love and loss,” he said, “are like a ship and the sea. They rise together. The more we love, the more we have to lose. But the only way to avoid loss is to avoid love. And what a sad world that would be..” “Scars are not shameful, not unless you let them be. If you do not wear them, they will wear you..” This revieuw does not contain large spoilers , the large spoilers are marked with spoiler tags. it also doesnt contain large spoilers for the previous two books in the series. ! You know that feeling you have when you really lovee a series and it ends and you just feel so sad because it has ended and there wont be anymore new content of the charracters you came too love , the dynamics you came too love , the world you came too love? But also that happy feeling that you found the series and can re-read it over and over again. Yep well krizzie is having that feeling rightnow after finishing this series. i am pain , i am destoryed , i am already missing this story and i am going too be deceased now so bye. so i say Anoshe [ fans will understand * sobs * ] This series is just freaking awesome and just so good. I want too throw it in all of you people their faces and scream Read this now. or else mhuahahaha. No but seriously if you havent readed this series , you are missing something. In this revieuw i will basically be talking what makes this overall series so good and what made this book good and at the end of my revieuw there is a spoiler section.. Why read this series ?! , what makes this series so good? - an amazing urban fantasy world we have 4 londons but they are all in different worlds which is really cool , a lot of magic , darkness , queens and kings and just awesomeness + the beautiful writing makes it feel like you are actually in all these londons. - Morally grey charracters with also an amazing dynamic together The charracter carry this series and i have come too love them all somuch. We have Kell our little grumpy sarcastic bean protector who feels like he is stuck in the life he has , Lila Our sassy stabby wanna be pirate that struggels letting people in but in this book learns that while also staying true too herself. Rhy who owns charracter development , our sassy prince who grows intoo too be an amazing caring king who fights with the darkness inside of him , Alucard aka Luc my other bean also sarcastic , caring , amazing. and Holland our moral grey magician with a tragic past who also needs too be protected at all cost. These charracters as indivuduals all have their own personality and somany layers and together as a crew they shine. They have somuch banter and all the dynamics + the overall dynmaic just fits. Especially in this book the dynamic feels are so strong between the whole group. - Slowburn romances !!!! - beautiful writing with somany beautiful quotes and lines !!!! - amazing friendship dynamics [ alucard + lila , Rhy + kell , Holland + kell , kell + allucard aaaHHH - lots of emotions too destroy you. - diversity in fantasy What i loved about this book This one is probably my favorite out of the three but its really close with a gathering of shadows. The book is super fast paced and full of amazingly written action scenes. It also gives us more background information on some of the charracters that we get too know better in this book which i loved trough flashbacks , a very anxious plot where the stakes are high , emotinal rollercoaster vibes and beautiful writing overall with somany beautiful quotes. The way Ve schwab has again written such a good book with amazing writing and amazing dynamics and charracters just blows me away. I also highkey love the ending of this book and its exactly how the ending should be < 3 (view spoiler)[Lila has learned too let people in , in the end and goes on more adventures like she always wanted too as the captain on her own pirate ship * sobs * , Kell who discovered he wanted more of life in this book is with her and ugh i cant. these two are perfect together and right now being on a ship having adventures together and he is now free , holland has died in piece which was very sad but the ending fitted his story , he died knowing he did something good for the world and he died in peace in his home , which is now safe because of him. (hide spoiler)] Overall i just love the stories of these charracter that Ve Schwab created in this series and it will always stay a part of me. “It wasn’t a good-bye, not really. What was the word for parting? Anoshe. That was it. Until another day.” also i am so excited for that we might get a spinnoff of this series ! aaaah. ...more |

“Everyone thinks I have a death wish, you know? But I don't want to die - dying is easy. No, I want to live, but getting close to death is the only way to feel alive. And once you do, it makes you realize that everything you were actually doing before wasn't actually living. It was just making do. Call me crazy, but I think we do the best living when the stakes are high.” “Everyone’s immortal until they’re not.” A gathering of shadows is the second book in the a darker shade of magic triology by Ve. Schwab. I readed a darker shade of magic in the begining of feb and i really enjoyed it but felt like i needed a bit more of everything. Of the charracters , the world , the dymanics between the charracters etc. and ohmygod a gathering of shadows definitly delivered everything i wanted and i really loved this book This book is for the first 50 precent a bit on the slow side and is more charracter focused. It follows the charracters and how they cope with the things that happend in a darker shade of magic. I personally did not mind this at all because i mostly love charracter driven parts in books if i like the charracters. I loved how we saw them coping with the events that have happend , how we see them struggle and all trying too figure out what their place is in this world and who they want too be in life. I also love the entire plot on this book , it got me hooked on my seat seeing how all the charracter eventually would end up together again because of the moving plot and the things that where setted in motion. We have more povs then in the previous book as we have one of a mysterious villian added and also one of rhys now yay finally my bby has a pob The second part of this book is a magic tournament and i am obsessed with these kinda plots/competitions so i loved this a lot aswell. We also explored more of the worldbuilding and different parts of it which i loved. And the dynamics in this book are just Cheff Kiss i will talk about them in the point of my revieuw dynamics but ohmygod. ve schwab really knows how too write good charracter dynamic and chemistry and BANTER. lets not forget the amazing banter this book has. Charracter talk - i love the charracters in this book , they are all morally grey and have many layers and depht and all a lot of sarcasm aka what i live for. honestly if you like sarcasm in charracter this is the triology for you. The charracter definitly shine in this book allong with the dynamic they have together as a group. all the charracters and dymanics are just beautifully woven together. Lila Bard aka badass moral grey female charracter i am in love with I have seen a lot of mixed opinions on Lila which i definitly understand as she does has the '' not like other girls vibes '' i personally dont really mind that trope as long as it doesnt has girl on girl hate because of this so in this case i didnt mind. I love Lila. I love how she wants more then a normal basic life , she wantd adventure and wants too really live not just excist which i stan. We see her struggle in this book with the longing for friendships and relationships and discovering that people arent just objects too use but that it can also give you good things in life. Lila is a bit selfish but it makes her real , she is stubborn as hell and reckless sometimes but it makes here very real. and i just stan her somuch. She is sarcastic as hell , she reminds me of nikolai x kaz brekker in female form. I also love that she is genderfluid diversity ! i love her sarcasm and her vibes. Also if she was a male charracter people probably woudnt complain about her being selfish and moral grey. [image] Kell Maresh again such a great charracter who has many layers too him. Kell struggles in this boo kwith the fact that he feels locked inside the life he is in and the place he is in , he longs for freedom and doesnt feel content with the life he has and feels like he is in a cage. I love this sacactig grumpy [ matthias helvar vibes ] little bean and he deserves the world. i also love his dynamic with Lila and how these two charracter just really compliment eachother and bring out different sides in eachother. Kell is Lila her calmness she sometimes needs and Lila dares Kell too live and gives him the adventure he needs. perfect right ?? [image] Rhy Maresh my bby. Rhy reminds me somuch of nikolai omg. I love the fact that we got his pov in this book and dived more in depht intoo his charracter. Rhy is very charming and sarcastic and fun and full of banter but we also see him struggeling with his life and thoughts after the events in a darker shade of magic. he feels guilt over what happend and feels drowned when he gets dark thoughts about his life and everything. He feels like he is stuck now because of what happend in a darker shade of magic. he deserves the world. please protect at all cost. These charracters are all just so amazingly morally grey and full of layers i cant < 3 its perfect. [image]. Alucard Emery Aluard emery is a new introduced charracter in this sequel and ohmygod what an amazing add. He is a pirate king on the ships Lila has joined. but is he what he looks like? Alucard is very charming and full of banter and again has somany layers too his personality. He is haunted by his past and his family. i love the add of him too this group of charracters. [image] We also have a very intresting villian charracter that i wont mention because of spoilers but HMM intresting and again moral grey + i loved how his povs in the end came together with the other charracters. and trough him we also saw a lot more of black London and White london. Plot + worldbuilding - as i said the plot in the first 50 precent is a little slower which can maybe bother you but i liked it a lot. we really got too know the charracters more and everything was settend up for the ending of the book and the second part of the book and the tournament. The second part with the tournament i love because i love competitions. I loved the new things we learned about the worldbuilding its truly so unique and i love it. the world + the way ve schwab writes it = just perfect in my opinion aaaah! The writing - i love ve schwab her writing , her descriptions are amazing and she can definitly write amazing charracters , banter scenes and chemistry between charracters. i really feel like i am in this world. example of beautiful description in the book - '' magic is all and none. Iy is sight , and taste , and scent , and sound , and touch , and its also something else entirely. It is the power in all powers , and at the same time . it is its own. And once you know how to sence its prescense , you will never be without it. '' Charracters dymanics Honestly aaah the dynamics in this book are just so good. i am obsessed. We have the dynamic brotherhood between Rhy and Kell which made me have tears in my eyes and choking on my laugh several times. their love for eachother is so beautiful i cant. and their banter and rhy making kell grumpy is what i live for , period. then we have the amazing chemistry between Lila and Kell they just fit so good with eachother and they ballance eachother and make eachother their best versions of themselves and again their banter is what i live for honestly i ship this so hard its not healthy and it isnt too much yet also not too little aah. I also love the friendship we have here between Alucard and Lila full of banter but also Lila getting the feeling of trust and friendship and ugh. i cant. i choked somany times of laughter because of the banter in the dymanics in this book. and i love the dymanic kell and the mysterious villian have aswell. i stan. “What brings you to my room?” he asked, relief bleeding into annoyance. “Adventure. Intrigue. Brotherly concern. Or,” continued the prince lazily, “perhaps I’m just giving your mirror something to look at besides your constant pout.” Kell frowned, and Rhy smiled. “Ah, there it is! That famous scowl.” - Rhy annoying Kell aka precious .. overall this book was for me such a good sequel and i loved everything about it. you might not love it if you hate the i am not like other girls trope and you dont like a bit of a slower charracter driven start but if you enjoyed a darker shade of magic and want more of everything like i had PICK THIS UP. you will love this. i am so excited too dive intoo the third now aaah. * internal errorr * ...more |

"If you te '' It's that people get so confortable in the prisons they make for themselves , they instinctively reject what will set them free....'' "If you tell a story , something real , something true , you get to be alive in other people. and writing feels like the most, the greatest chance i wil ever have at being alive. '' This revieuw is spoiler free for major things that happen , major spoilers can be found at the end of my revieuw in the spoiler section that is marked with spoiler tags 5 freaking stars. read this , be aware of this , let your mind be confused and be blown away. especially if you are intrested in cults then pick this up..... The project by Courtney Summers , the author of sadie which i enjoyed and i gave 4 stars. This is a book that explores the topic of a cult , a super important thing in my opinion that should be explored more often because it isnt fiction. Cults excist , these things are real and we should be aware of them. And its also about trauama , about losing your way in life. This story is definitly spreading awarenes and shows multiple sides of a situation dealing with a cult which was truly so fascinating for me damn. I got confused by this book by my own thoughts about this '' project '' i felt myself thinking is this really a cult , is this really bad '' and that scared the crap out of me. It felt like i was in this book myself besides the two main charracters , I found myself questioning everything with the main charracters and about the project and what it truly was, And if a book can make me think that much and makes me feel like i am truly in it then its definitly a good book for me and thats what this book did too me. I was fucking mindblown and confused during this story and ohmygod. I cant even explain. This book just really goes intoo this topic that is such an important topic as it is happening for real in this world. And i personally feel that it was done in such a good and real way. that didnt back off of the cruel things and the confusion of the minds of these main charracters. I also feel like this isnt basic YA. i felt that this was more NA/Adult because of how this topic was explored. The author also mentioned about this book herself that this shows the less '' good '' way of coping with your feelings and traumas , its about charracters that deal with trauma and are coping in their own way which can also be less pretty. She also mentions that with this story and these charracters she wants too show the less pretty way of coping with trauma that is less accepted. Honestly such a true words that also describe this book so good. This book to me felt really real as i said before and i felt like i walked beside the charracters. A little about the plot and my thoughts on it The project is a group of people who live in their own kinda town under the leaderment of Lev Warren , believer of god. The people who live here are all people who struggle with themselves , who feel like they dont matter anymore , people who are seeking something too feel alive again and feel usefull again after traumas they went too. These are the people that feel like they are not good enough , that are not being seen. They feel like they dont matter. But in this community they do have the feeling of mattering , of being seen , of feeling alive and doing something good too the world. These people help eachother too get trough their traumas under the guidance of Lev , trough the faith in god. If you put it like this do you now get yourself thinking ? do you have yourself thinking '' is this a cult for real or is this more a place where people connect , maybe this isnt that bad ? '' yes right? at least i did have these thoughts while reading and that is freaking scary. Charracters The book follows two main charracters , two sisters and two timlines. We have the point of vieuw of the first main charracter ; Bea this is written in third person and is about her after the car accident where both the sisters have been in and where they lost their parents in and how she is traumatized by it as her sister ,Lo. is in the hosipital with really bad injuries. It follows her journey and how she came in the project and her journey while she is in it. The way she is badly traumatized and feels all alone and feels like she needs something too comfort her. Bea her story truly broke me. The way you see her slowly coming intoo the project , intopo the live she now lives... The other point of vieuw follows Lo this is written in first person and we are in her mind. It follows her in current time where she is also traumatized from everything that has happend. She blames the project for taking her sister away from them as Bea isnt in contact with her anymore and lives in the Project. She wants too look intoo the project too prove that they are a cult and wants too know where her sister is now , we follow her doing just this. But is the project what she thought it would be? even if you say a thousand times i would never be in that situation make these decisions can you still be sucked intoo it yourself too? this book also explores that situation in Lo her chapter. I loved thw two povs and how they always ended of this sort of twist which made me want too get too that pov again asap and then the pov of the other charracters also ends on a kinda cliffhanger and so it goes on and i wanted too keep reading , sucked in by this horrible story. Because it isnt a light fluffy read. Also Lev is truly freaking terrifying and more scary then all monsters in fantasy books , he is a monster as they live in our real world.. but the author making him this way and showing us this , respect. End reccomendation I personally loved this book but it isnt a light read. I would definitly reccomend this if you like stories that are dark and explore cults , humanity. You also have too be able too deal with weaker/unlikeable charracter because this has in my opinion in the end really strong charracter but they go trough a journey of confusion which i love and made them so real and i felt with them but this could maybe be a point you woudnt like in this story. For me this story was so powerfull and made me feel with the charracters and it even twisted my own mind , its a story of manipulation and humanity and the uglyness it can have. this book will leave me thinking about it so long after it and will always be with my i just know that. This is just such a powerfull story. I reccomend it too anyone too at least try and too become aware of this topic SPOILER PART about the ending and big spoilers of the book !!! BE AWARE. Ohmygod. That ending. it made me sob a lot. the realization that Bea and Lo havent seen eachother since the time Lo was in the hospital and that breaks me somuch. The way Bea thought she did good , the way she got manipulated into the project which is a cult. The way she just coudnt handle her trauma and then the project was there. And then the history repeats itself with Lo as she is also dealing with her trauma , she keeps saying its a cult, she is convinced but then also she gets manipulated and me allong side her... like honestly for real i sometimes questioned the project if it was really that bad and i got part manipulated too even tho i knew it was a cult and terrible. But dam rthe way Courtney has wrote this.... i cant. Also in the ending Bea is death and i expected thisd and feared this... But lo , i am so proud of lo she came trough this journey and now she will publish the story and tells everyone about the project , about her sisters story damn. Also lev is disgusting and ugh but the way the author created him damn. I see some people saying in revieuws that Lo is spoiled and acting like she has it so bad when she as a normal job at a good company and she wants more. i dont agree with this fully . I feel like you can have a good job but you can want more and feel like you want more. She also deals with a lot of trauma because of everything and i didnt feel like she was acting spoiled. it felt human too me. Alos yes the relationships between both the sister fucking Lev , yes that disgusting but this whole story is freaking discusting and that is the point of it too show the ugly part and these cults and people like Lev can make people do things like this and i believe it can and that is freaking scary realizing that. Damn ...more |

"You can only stand by their side and hope that when they wake and realize they need saving, you will be there to help them.” - this quote shows that a person has too accept things theirselves , love doesnt always fix something it has too come from within you too get better or accept certain things about yourself no matter how people say that you are amazing........ Did this book finish me or did I finish this book its the big question. This book finished me , I am a screaming mess right now , Cassie certainly knows how too create drama and mess with our feelings..... this revieuw doesn’t contain any huge spoilers for this book , it does contain light spoilers from chain of gold but also nothing super big. Chain of iron by Cassandra emotional destroyer Clare is the second book in the last hours trilogy , the spine off trilogy of the infernal devices that follows the children from the main character in the infernal devices. The book starts of right where chain of gold left off. Cordelia and James are going too be married in an arranged marriage [ witch is a trope I am a huge sucker for and was so well done in this book ] but there are also murders being done by some creature that kills shadowhunters just before dawn and takes their runes but why ????!!! [image] Plot wise Chain of iron is in my opinion a lot better then Chain of Gold. We still have the Cassandra Clare famous drama and the amazing character dynamics that she is literally the queen off and the character focus and dynamic focus that is the most important thing in the book but this one also had a interesting plot that kept me on my seat the entire time , there are murders going on and the group of friends aka the bbys try too figure out who does them while James has these visions at night and can see the murders happen. I loved this and was constantly questioning who was doing the murders , we also follow Lucie her story with grace as they try too get Jesse Blackthorn back too life. this is the reason I didn't give this book 5 stars , I found this part of the story more boring and the other parts and povs interested me more then this one. Cordelia and James have povs while they are married and developing feelings for each other and sharing a life together , I will go more in depth too them in the dynamics section but dammen Cassandra clear knows how too write amazing dynamics and tension between characters AAAh. Overall the plot is just good and enjoyed me and it was a great balance in here between charracter/dynamic focused and actual plot which lacked a bit in chain of gold for me. The first 100 pages where a bit slow but after that I loved this book a lot.... Charracters the Charracters in this book I can't. Cassandra is really good at writing Charracters that struggle and have many layers. In chain of gold I had a little problem with connecting too Cordelia , James and Lucie and only felt a big connection too Matthew and Anna but in this one that totally changed. I love Cordelia Carstairs now with my whole heart. She is such a warrior and not the '' scream in your face '' warrior but the more silent warrior , she is so caring for the people she loves , she is driven and she struggles , she is a queen. I also love James a lot who is a smoll bean. I still don't feel a big connection too Lucie as I said earlier. I still love Matthew , he struggles with his drinking problem and the things of the past that haunt him and that story continues here and is truly heartbreaking. protect this precious bean at all cost , why can't Matthew see himself as anyone else sees him truly amazing that is. his story also really shows the you can't fix someone just by loving the person and telling them they are okay , a person has too believe those things themselves and accept themselves and want too get better , that quote from Magnus at the top of my review about Matthew really shows that. This is so important and really hits me hard. I hate Tatiana she can go choke in bleach , grace is moral grey and manipulated my Tatiana bitch her whole life. I also Alistair who is very moral grey and Christopher and Thomas are also precious < 3 Charracters Dynamics - cassandra clare is queen of character dynamics , relationships , friendships and character chemistry and those things really shine in this book and made me feel so damn much. I am a huge Cordelia and James shipper now , all their scenes are so full of chemistry and tension. I loveeeee the smut scenes they are perfect truly and not forced or anything. I love their tension , the way they see all the little details of each other and well the freaking ending. we all knew it * cries in corner * I also love the dynamic between Alistair and Thomas aaah. The friendship between Cordelia and Matthew , the dynamic between the Merry thieves and the whole group of friends. the dynamic between James and Matthew. Cassandra Clare has written her dynamics just really perfectly. “I thought of you,” he said again, “and it was as if you were there, with me. I saw your face. Your hair …” He wound a finger through a dangling curl beside her face. She could feel the warmth from his hand against her cheek. “And I was no longer afraid. I knew I would be able to come home, because of you. That you would lead me back. You are my constant star, Daisy.” - JUST LOOK. The world building is still the same as in all her books and was just fun and nice as usually. I did wish that we got some more jam , will and Tessa content but on the other hand we focus on different Charracters now so its okay. Overall this was a really fun , dramatic sequel with a great plot and amazing Charracters with their dynamic that I almost couldn't put down. will I be able too wait more then a year for the other book HA no I will not , will I be deceased , yes I will. i do think cassandra clare her books are repetitive. the same worldbuilding , always the love triangle ish thing between parabatais etc. but however i do think this book was very enjoyable and cassandra clare her books in general are for me quite enjoyable even tho they are repetitive. also the ending destroyed me and got me screaming , cassandra clare you are a monster. i miss these charracters already ugh..... ...more |

OHMYY. * screams into the void and cries into her pillow at 1 am literally * It was 1 am when i finished this while i had to get up very early the ne OHMYY. * screams into the void and cries into her pillow at 1 am literally * It was 1 am when i finished this while i had to get up very early the next day aka now and this was that kinda book that i just needed to finish no matter what aka the best books. But then i finished and now i am a mess crying and screaming because THAT ENDING. my HeaRT. Its so good yet so bad for my emotions and i am just a mess. i did not expect this what is this even. Rip krizzie. This book was basically me being stressed out and having panic for Pip and then being an emotional angry snowball mess. But that means it made me feel and thats for me the most important thing in a book that it makes me feel and that was what As good as dead delivered. 5 stars Who will look for you when you are the one that dissapears ? This revieuw doesnt contain any big spoilers on the plot of this book or one the ones from the previous two books so it should be a safe space to enter ☪☾✩ Trigger warnings ; death scene's' , anxiety , addiction to pills , sleeping problems , PTSS. As Good as dead Is the final book in Holly Jackson her a good girls guide to murder triology and it was one hell of a stressfull journey. It again follows our main charracter stubborn strongminded brave sarcastic Pip aka my gurl while she deals with the effects of the case and the things that happend to her in the sequel good girl bad blood. Because of these events Pip now has PTSS and gets back into the final moments of Stanley Forbes. We follow her trying to deal with the PTSS and her sleeping problem and anxiety trying to sleep and function normal with pills witch is really hurtfull to watch and made me stressed and feel so much for Pip honestly i am happy Holly included this because its important that solving cases and murders isnt all happy i mean i dont believe it is and death can leave scars and give PTSS its realistic and ugly and i love how Holly included that even tho it was very hurtfull to read. I wanted to cuddle Pip and help her the whole book. Then things appear in Pips life that indicates she gets stalked and it goes from bad to worse. Pip decides she needs to figure out who this stalker is on her own because the police doesnt believe her and feels like this is the one last case that will make her feel normal again and makes her feel good and bad again instead of morally grey. This is very stressfull and i was stressed about Pip 24/7 and screaming a lot during my read and panicking. I am proud of myself tho because i figured out who it was pretty early and i was right * high fives myself * i never guess murderers or mystery cases. I love the plot in this book and its a perfect mix between charracter driven and Pip her struggles and the mystery plot kept me on my toes the entire time and stressed and i needed to keep reading to know answers witch is the best. I also loved how this final book really took everything that happend in the first two books together and how it wrapped everything up i wont spoil but if you read you know. I also again loved the side charracters. Pips fam is amazing and Ravi is a sarcastic kind bby. All side charracters have an important part to play in the story witch i love. The ending fucking killed me like i said i love it but hate it. Its good but UGH MY HEART HAS GONE OUT OF MY CHEST BECAUSE PAIN. I also love the relationship between Pip And Ravii they are so pure and adorable together and m heart loves these two. Team Ravi and Pip forever ok bye now. * cries * The charracters , the plot , the relationships , the ending it all gets 5 stars. Overall i loved this book so much and it was an amazing final to this triology that will always be one of my fav murder mystery series. I love Pip and her story and the side charracters so much <3 I also loved the note in the end in the thankyou page from Holly.. ...more |

But it is not lives we regret not living that are the real problem. It is the regret itself. It's the regret that makes us shrivel and wither and feel like our own and other people's worst enemy. We can't tell if any of those other versions would of been better or worse. Those lives are happening, it is true, but you are happening as well, and that is the happening we have to focus on.” “Between life and death there is a library, and within that library, the shelves go on forever. Every book provides a chance to try another life you could have lived. To see how things would be if you had made other choices… Would you have done anything different, if you had the chance to undo your regrets?” 5 beautiful stars one of the most beautiful books i have ever read truly. Can i just put this whole book here because this whole book is just quote worthy and my copy is now full of tabs. I am in love with this book and will carry this story with me for probably the rest of my life. Its a beautiful book that dives deeper intoo struggles we i think and probably know for sure are had at some point. Its about how we can get so carried away by things that happend in the past and the what ifs and regrets we have in life that we focus only on that and struggle with those things and thoughts about that and the fact that by focusing somuch on that we forget to actually live in the moment. I think these are things we as humans all struggle with and this book really dives intoo those struggles and is kinda a mix between a contemporary on the heavier side as it deals with depression and definitly has some serious trigger warnings , a fantasy as it has this magical libary witch is sort of an in between stade of the mind between being alive and death for people who feel like they arent quite finished and wonder and have regrets. And all these books in this Libary contain different lives that a person could have lived and you can go inside of those lives and experience those lives. However its not always a libary it can also be a different place and forms itself into a thing that fits in your mind. Just read the book it will make sense. And also kinda a self help book that teaches you things. And i just loved this combination of elements combined. This book captured me from the very first page and so did Nora. I myself struggle with depressed feelings and had a depression and also took medication for it and i felt like how the author dived into the depression in this book was done really good. Depression is different for everyone so i think its never the complete same to what you might experience or have experienced but i do think everyone who suffered or suffers from a depression can find itself in Nora her story and thoughts. Seeing her journey in total truly broke my heart but also warmed it. I wont say much more because this is truly a book you just have to experience for yourself and trust me its worth it also if you dont suffer or have suffered of a depression because as i said before i think everyone can find something reletable in the struggles that are in this book also containing the huge focus we as humans can have on the what ifs or the what could have beens and regrets. The end message of this book is beautiful and i feel like this book truly kinda helped me... I also feel that the setting of the libary and what it exactly is and how it takes form is something i now kinda feel like believing in and it kinda gives me comfort anyway this book just hit very personal. “The only way to learn is to live.” By the way in case you now think this book is just a sad black place noooo , This book isnt all dark and also has lots of humor and good things and beautiful things. Just read this beautiful book and experience it and just see what you think <3 ‘It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” Some more beautiful favorite quotes - “If you aim to be something you are not, you will always fail. Aim to be you. Aim to look and act and think like you. Aim to be the truest version of you. Embrace that you-ness. Endorse it. Love it. Work hard at it. And don't give a second thought when people mock it or ridicule it. Most gossip is envy in disguise.” - “And that sadness is intrinsically part of the fabric of happiness. You can’t have one without the other. Of course, they come in different degrees and quantities. But there is no life where you can be in a state of sheer happiness for ever. And imagining there is just breeds more unhappiness in the life you’re in.” ...more |

War determines who remains..... Lett me tell you something about this book called the Poppy War aka the emotional destroyer of your soul , and let me tell you this its true pain. And then people are telling you the sequels are even worse , nice. I will welcome the pain as and old friend. Because i am an emotional mess. I am just a mess after this book and emotional drained but this book is so good. ITS A MASTERPIECE. If you love morally greyness and like a really heavy book then read this plz. I command you !!!!!!!!! things too know before reading the poppy war ; What you need too know about this book is that is a really heavy book. It isn’t a light quick fantasy book at all. First of all you have too use your brains too understand everything and it deals with really heavy topics , basically this book has all the possible trigger warnings a person could think of. This book is inspired of the world war two situation in Asia between Japan , China and Taiwan [the second sino Japanese war and its also based on the opium wars. Please be aware of this and that this isn’t a light read , if you cant handle many trigger scenes like rape , a lot of murder and torture etc that is detailed then don’t read this because it isn’t for you then. Also its really nice too read this blogpost before starting the poppy war to have some background on the events the book is based on ; https://readbytiffany.com/2020/11/15/... The first pared of this review doesn’t have large spoilers about the Poppy war , the last bit does but there the spoilers are marked with bold spoiler tags The Poppy war is a Military fantasy based on real events that i mentioned above combined with fantasy based on Shamanism [ which is put short a religious practice that focuses on connecting with the spiritual realm ] The poppy war focuses mainly on war , it really shows the true side of war and how war can shape a person into something else , how it can leads people too do the most cruel things. and we are seeing this war forming our main charracter ; Rin a war orphan from the south of Nikan which is a part of the country that is filled with opium drugs and slavery and poor conditions But Rin has one chance to get out of the poor conditions she lives in , getting the highest score on a huge exam that can get her too the military acedemy of Nikan called Sinegard. Nikan is the country throughout who's point of view we see the war trough the eyes of Rin. Nikan is based on China , the ''enemies'' are the Federations and they are based on Japan. Rin gets one of the highest scores and gets accepted and then her journey begins. The journey of fighting doesn’t end at the acedemy too , it follows Rin as she completes the acedemy and needs too fight into war , it shows the journey of her getting into Schamanism and her getting assigned too the cike a group of misfits who connect too the schamanism gods and are basically assasins too the empire of Nikan aka a found family that i adore so much !! Its a journey of wanting power too prove that she is just as good as the persons who held her down and had power over her , her whole life but also a story of war and how war can form a person into something else. [image] The plot , the world building - At first the worldbuilding definitely eats up your brains as its a lot and a lot of history and difficult names but i did like the challenge it gave too my peanut brain but it definitely destroys your brains. But once i started too understand it i loved it so much. the combination between true history and fantasy is so amazingly done i just cant. Its so important too spread awareness over the situations this book deals with mainly because the heavy scenes in this book actually happened and can happen again in this cruel world. Mostly when we think of world war two we think of the Nazi's and the Jewish people and not about the war that was going on in Asia which is the inspiration in The poppy war i stan this author so much for doing this and spreading awareness about this and also about the Chinese culture. And this combined with the fantasy part is so good , it literally blowed my mind more every page and i just needed too continue reading about it. The plot is in my opinion quite fast paced and kept my on my seat the entire time , it felt like i readed a whole series in one book , in a good way. i also liked how religion is a part of the plot. Religion - I also love the fact that this book dives intoo religion and asks the question what exactly is religion and what is religion too different people. Its about how people sometimes believe in things that cant be true because they cant deal with the more complex ideas behind it. The first part of the plot reminded me of nevernight with the murder acedemy setting and i loved it , this part also dives in too the inside hate in Nikra aka China and how the people that are poor are just discriminated because of their darker skin color then the '' powerful '' nikan people , then we get more of a journey part which is also really good and finding things out about the magic system along with Rin and then we have war and pain and a fucking hell of an ending that haves me an emotional mess that really shows what war does to a person and how in a war no one is good. The book is also full of Twists and putting things slowly together and it is brilliant in my opinion. “Children ceased to be children when you put a sword in their hands. When you taught them to fight a war, then you armed them and put them on the front lines, they were not children anymore. They were soldiers.” The writing The writing is just so good , it really is the kinda writing that makes you feel and i cant believe this is a debut novel. every single scene means something and connects the overall story towards the end of this book and the pain. Charracters All the charracters in this book are morally grey , no one is just good which i am a sucker for. MORALLY GREY IS JUST AMAZING. Rin - Rin is such an amazingly written charracter that is both good and bad and that is desperate too get power , as much as possible because all her past life she didnt have any power. She Needs compliments , needs someone too praise her because she never had that. Rin is really an anti hero and so fascinating too follow. You really see how all the events that happen in this book from her childhood too her time at the school too her moments in the war shaped her as a person and shaped her too making the decision she made in the end which fucking broke my heart in so many pieces. “I have become something wonderful, she thought. I have become something terrible. Was she now a goddess or a monster? Perhaps neither. Perhaps both.” It also has a found family of misfits assasins which i am a sucker for and ugh. All those charracters are so morally grey aswell and have been broken. Suni needs too be protected at all cost , Altan is so fascinating and learning more about his history broke me and made me so angry , Ramsan is amazing and ugh. Nezha develops throughout the book and then UHM THINGS HAPPEN. and kitay is precious and ugh. i need more kitay the next book and more of the found family charracters and bond. There is no romance in this book and it actually doesn’t really need that? I didn’t mind it not being there at all tbh. this book doesn’t need it. Overall i recommend this book so much if you like reading about heavier topics that need more awareness and can read heavy detailed scenes. Its a book that really shows war and how war can form a person and persons and it brilliantly mixed that together with amazing fantasy and a found family. Also be aware of chapter 21 is the most horrible cruel thing i have ever read in a fantasy novel. THANKS FOR READING THIS I AM SO THANKFULL < 3 SPOILER SECTION I just need too talk about chapter 21 and how cruel that was. Damn that chapter hit me so hard. babies being thrown in the air and sliced too pieces , woman getting raped so many times by different men , vagina's being cut open too fit the men in more , all the burning bodies of innocents this was just , this chapter hit me so fucking hard and shows how cruel people can be and knowing this truly happened is just so horrible.... Also the decision Rin made makes the book even more powerful but she almost does the exact same thing too the federations that they did too the Nikan people what she called an act of a monster. Because of her also so many innocent people died , does that make her as bad as the enemy? does war have a good side ? it really asks you that. And the most scary thing of this book is that i get why she did it , i kinda understand where it came from which is os scary too realize. You hate rin but you also love her. This book just really shows how both sides in a war are wrong and its a matter of perspective. '' But you , Kitay swallowed , choking on his words , '' You turned arround and did the exact same thing. Civilians. Innocents. Children , Rin. You just buried an entire country and you dont feel a thing. '' They where monsters '' Rin shrieked '' they where not humans '' "Have you ever considered" he said slowly "that that was exactly what they though of us?” ...more |

You discover what you can and cannot live without, the simple necessities and small joys that define a life. Not food, not shelter, not the basic things a body needs—those are, for her, a luxury—but the things that keep you sane. That bring you joy. That make life bearable.” “Books, she has found, are a way to live a thousand lives--or to find strength in a very long one.” Hi remember me !? it is Krizzie... the person who really thought she would hate addie la poo, yep thats me and plottwisttt. i didnt hate this book wow. I feel like i really see both sides of this book. And I really get the like and dislike part of the people who love this and the people who dont like this at all and in this revieuw i will go in at both those opinions and dicuss my feelings towards them. In the end this book ended up exploring the struggels of humanity and questions that where asked about life. What it is too truly life , when you truly life , what leaving a mark has too do with living. do you have too leave a mark on this earth so that you have truly lived? , its about running of of time and the feeling of that especially and about accepting yourself and your life. Its about the selfishness in love and in life. All these topics really connected with me as i have many of these thoughts and fears as well. [image] Summary – The Invisible life of addie Larue poo is a book about a girl named Addie who lives in the year 1714. A girl who is stuck at a little village and feels like she is alive but not free , not living life but just existing and not seeing everything of life there is too see and experience. One day on the day she should have been getting married too someone she doesn’t love she prays too the darkness and the darkness answers her prayer. The prayer too escape and too have the chance too live and experience things. But this story shows that nothing you wish for comes for free so addie lives forever too experience everything but no one remembers her. Addie lives 300 years and everyone forgets her while she is desperately trying too leave a mark on the world because what is a person without leaving a mark , is a person then nothing. Have you lived when you didn’t leave a mark to be remembered at the world. This story really dives into that question and too the struggels of a human life like this one and the feeling like you are running out of the time. The whole book is about wanting too life but what it means too truly life. The story follows Addie trough all her years at the same time as her current life in New York where she meets Henry , a person who suffers of depression and remembers her. It shows their story as they meet , the story of addie and her struggels in life throughout her 300 years of living and her relationship that comes with that with the darkness she made the deal with. It also dives into what love is and the conclusion that love can be off selfish reasons like not too be alone and just having someone. BAD STUFF AKA THE FREAKING FRECKLES - First the bad point that annoyed the fuck out of me that I need too get of my crisis Chrissie chest : THE FUCKING FRECKELS and sometimes repetitive writing. Like some of the writing is pretty and I loved it but some was for me just over the top and way too much. Like addie has 7 freckles and they look like stars like what the hell. How can freckles look like stars, does she has star stamps on her cheeks. And why do these freaking freckles need too be mentioned almost every chapter like it is a personality. Like it is just too much. And just stupid. Like go away with those freckles aka the stars. Freckles are freckles and they aren’t special so many people have them and how the hell can they look like stars. So yeah some of the writing is just really repetitive like this which I did mind and some of the descriptions where just stupid and weird and too much for me. Like AASH my brain exploded from weirdness. so thanks addie la poo for having these amazing star looking freckles !! i appricate the mentions every damn page. this book is definitely a really slow book. Its more about all these questions about life and humanity and not about action. We don’t have any action scenes or really fantasy scenes this is just more about the subjects that play a part in this book , the ones I mentioned before and the personal journey of addie and her story. Like if you want a book with action then this one isn’t for you. I knew before going in that this wouldn’t have action and wouldn’t be a story but more of a story of showing a story. But i think that is really what Ve Schwab wanted with this story , too explore these struggels and questions asked about life and leaving marks and love being selfish sometimes and not an action paced story about Addie living trough a lot of action paced moments and Historical events. Like I totally get that people say that its boring and could have been somuch better if addie was in those moments and had action and adventure and that would indeed be super cool but the meaning of this book isn’t that , like ve schwab wanted too show the story of these questions and live and not all the adventures. And I feel like with this story that did fit for me and I still wanted too continue too read more and explore this theme of the book more even tho it doesn’t have any action. repeitiveness of the book and my thoughts on it - It has a lot of repetitiveness which I have seen many people say and that’s totally true sometimes that did annoy me but I thinks that also what Schwab wanted too do with this story too show the pain of the life of addie and the questions being handled in this book too be shown over and over again. Like for me I totally get why people would found it repetitive because it is but I did think it fitted with this story and gave it more meaning. Because addie her life was like this and was repetitive. Character talk – Addie is definitely selfish but I like her as a character , following her story. Of course she is selfish because of her situation not being able too truly life. And aren’t we all selfish ? her journey is a really great one that really touched me. Expect the freckles lol. Henry also has his struggels that are important for this book and struggels with himself. They are both struggling and wondering what living really is and when a life is good enough and I liked how their stories connected on the same topic of wondering and exploring the themes in this book. And luc of course. Also a confused soul. Thoughts about the romance – Okay so I feel like this romance isn’t the Feyre/Rhysand etc. romance that needs too be shipped and is like a OTP. Its more a way of showing the selfishness love can have and it explores that theme. (view spoiler)[Like Addie and Henry don’t fall in love because of their personalities and I see people hating that and I get that but I think that schwab wanted too show more the selfishness love can have. Henry loves Addie because of her being the only one able too truly see him and addie loves him for the same thing , because he sees her and remembers her. Like they take away the others their loneliness because of their deals and addie also says that might be why they love eachother. Also Luc and Addie feel affection towards eachother because they are both alone and for the same reasons as henry and addie because they are the only company they have and when you are lonely you are desperate for someone too see and love you and I feel like that is what schwab has done with this romance. And I do think that totally fits this story. (hide spoiler)] Ending thoughts - I love the ending , its an open ending but it fitss the story. (view spoiler)[Like if henry and addie would just live happy ever after and everything would be solved that would not fit this story and would be not realistic. Addie made her deal and that doesn’t go away. I felt like this open ending is perfect for this book. Henry that has ended up writing this book I like and Addie is now remembered. And henry also learned the importance of being yourself and that being perfect doesn’t fix things. It’s the way you feel about (hide spoiler)] end conclusion , do i reccomend this one ? - So this just hit me and I feel like if you like these topics and don’t mind a slower book then this book is something for you too try out , I do think if you don’t relate that this is all too much and boring and not good repetitive for you so then I wouldn’t recommend this as it isn’t an adventure fantasy book so don’t think it is because it isnt. Overall I enjoyed this book much more then I thought I would * Sofia and Lucy are Dancing right now * and really felt the story. The only thing I do hate about it is the stupid freckles and the writing being too much sometimes. I do feel like this book could have been even better when there where also mentions of people off colour for example , other people who got forgotten for example liek a black woman who doesnt get remembered in history. and i feel like there could have been more talk and connection between Addie and historical important situations. That could have made this a 5 star book. if she explored more countries also. This book is a book you just have too give a shot and it can either work for you or it doesn’t and I really get both of these points of vieuws. Its definitly a hit or mis. for me i did enjoy the book and the meaning behind it. but you do have too appricate and enjoy a slow read. special mentions too my crew Too my Salty Sophia who is now very proud of me for liking this book and Lucy. oh and Blumble please dont come for me too kill me after liking this book. and thanks too the buddy read on the midnight readers , i loved discussing this one ...more |

Those lies were allowed.” ‘’Because half less of a “But sometimes remembering isn’t for yourself, sometimes you do it just to make someone else smile. Those lies were allowed.” ‘’Because half less of a bad thing meant there was room for half good.” WHAT IS SLEEP.i dont know i dont need it when i am reading books at night like this one. Sleep is for the weak First we are having a inner screaming moment again because I need too scream my emotions out. This book , this book was so addictive I could literally not stop reading. I picked this up yesterday evening and finished it at midnight , I now feel like zombie because I had almost no sleep because of this book but it was worth it * screaming again * I kept wondering who did it and felt like I was a detective with Pip , detective Krizzie. I just needed answers so I kept reading and I literally have nothing wrong too say about this book so this revieuw will be me pointing out everything that I love and screaming from the inside and throwing this in all of you guys faces screaming read this. A good girls guide too murder is a Young-adult Mystery book by Holly Jackson. This was actually my first Young-adult mystery that I ever readed and I am definitely wanting too read more of this genre. If anyone has more great YA mystery recommendations let me know in the comments : ) I loved so many things about this book but mainly the addictiveness it had too it. I kept reading because I needed answers and could not stop myself. The story is written with so many clues and twists and turns that you just feel like reading more and more with is a big +. List of things I loved about a good girls guide too murder - The addictiveness and twists. I did not expect that ending and the person who did it like WHAT I screamed so hard and throw the book against the wall. - The main character. I really love Pip the main character and relate too her a lot. She is smart and funny and I loved her pov. I was never annoyed and I also liked how the book didn’t focus just on the murders but also on a bit more of a personal aspect of pip that is the fact that she is always working and studying and she doesn’t know who she really is without it. Diversion that isn’t forced. We have a lot of diversity in this book. We have people of colour and talk about racism. We have lgtbq in it which is super natural and we have some tropes like the popular girl but we vie much deeper into it which I loved. We really saw in the story how the popular came what she became because of a fucking abusive home environment and we saw the different sides of a situation like that and what it can do too children. One acts out and becomes a bully herself too cover her own insecurity and one begins self harming and becomes super insecure and quit. This part of the plot hit me really hard. - The friendship between Ravi and Pip – this dynamic was done really great. They are such a fun humorous team - The format – We have a format where we have normal chapters but also chapters that are emails , intervieuws etc. it really added even more fun too the story and it was just fun I am obsessed with this book and I also reccoment this for people who are in a slump because it is so addicting and really something different. I love everything about it and it is highly addictive. I am super curious about the sequel tho because I felt like this was more a standalone. read this now ...more |

“You’ve accepted who and what I am from the beginning. You’ve never tried to change me or...or hide me. You’ve always trusted me, even when you probably shouldn’t have.” - Layla to Roth “One of these days, Prince, you will meet your own fate.” “And I’ll do so quite spectacularly,” he quipped back. “Looking damn good while I do it, too.” “If losing Sam had taught me anything, it was to seize life-seize everything it had to offer, including the tears, the anger and loss, but most of all, the laughter and the love. To just seize life. Because it was fleeting and it was fickle, and no one, not me or anyone I knew, had another day, let alone another second promised to them.” Every Last breath is the third book in Jennifer l. Armentrout her Dark elements triology.. First i will obsesses and talk about this particulair book and then at the second halve of the revieuw i will do some obsessing and talking about the triology as a whole. So this third book definitly is my favorite in the triology buuut i am mostly a sucker for the final book because idk. It just feels like in the final book you got connected to all the charracters and the world and everything seems to have more meaning , also because you just know this is the end so yeh i am a sucker for final books. But this one was really good. Again an addictive read that kept my on my seat the entire tikme , great twistst and turns , the romance was taken to an amazing level even better then in the first two books & their is a lot of action. Just the perfect combination again off all elements i like in a book , i was never bored and never annoyed by anything honestly. Really very much loved this final book 10/10. Things i really enjoyed about the book - Roth and Layla and their romance ofcourse they are like on the level Rowaelin , Feysand , Kanej for me so that probably says quite a lot. Their romance is just so well developt and their scenes are so great in this final book , somany beautiful scenes <3 - Roth being sassy as always - Layla her charracter growht troughout the triology and the woman she became in this final book. She is honestly such a strong charracter who has really come to accept herself and who she is and what she is. Really loved all the charracter development coming together in this final book - the way Jennifer handeled the relationship between Zanye and Laya , heartwrecking but beautiful. Their last scene made my have tears in my eyes. - Cayyman being Cayman - The familiars being drunk LOL , never laughed so hard in my life. - twissstssttt a little summoning up the trilogy as a whole The dark elements is honestly a really good triology , it does deal with tropes so if you hate the tropes ; good guy falling in love with good girl , love triangle , special snowflake main charracter etc. then you might not like this but however all these tropes i feel like are in this triology done in such a great way that makes my dont mind them at all. they are there but they are all different i even liked the love triangle and i hate those most of the times but Jennifer just does these tropes really good. The triology has tons of action and twistst and turns but also charracters that are real and struggle. Great femlae main charracter with lots of charracter development troughout the story , sassy humor banter troughout the whole triology , amazing romance + lots of steamy scenes and a very great demon crown prince called Roth that is funny as hell and is now one of my all time favs. Definitly think everybody should give this triology a shot and see what you will think of it. definitly something i will re-read in the future , already missing these charracters <3 ...more |

They're the ones who lose, sometimes. But they keep fighting, they keep coming back. They don't give up. That's what makes them heroes.”. 5 amazing stars ✨✨✨✨for this amazing first book in Cassandra Clare aka the queen of torturing the readers their souls , The Dark Artifices triology. Filled with amazingly worked out charracters , lots of banter, the importance of family , amazing charracter dynamics , a forbidden romance full of tension and beautiful writing full of beautiful quotes. this book doesnt contain any large spoilers about the previous books by Cassandra Clare or this book itself Lady Midnight Is the first book in the Dark Artifices triology by Cassandra Clare. This book takes place after all the events in her other books. Chronological order of the main series ; - The Infernal Devices 1878 london - The last hours, following the children of the charracters in tid. 1903 london - The mortal instruments new york 2007 - The dark artifces Los angeles 2012 I have read tid and tlh and not tmi. If you dont want any spoilers of tmi i would reccomend reading it the way it is Chronological happening that way you wont get any spoilers. I am planning on reading tmi but wanted to read this first as my potatoe ass is scared of disliking tmi because my ass hated clary and jace in the mortal instruments tv show witch i did watch. anyway lets get into the actual revieuw now. Lady Midnight follows the Blackthorn family living at the Los Angeles shadowhunters institute + Emma Carstairs a childhood best friend of the family who lives with them in the institute and have remained with the family ever since her parents died in the dark war. It follows different povs with as main ones the povs of ; Emma Carstairs who is a sassy badass woman that i love somuch who has such a big heart and tries to figure out who actually killed her parents in the dark war and Julian Blackthorn who is taking care of all his brothers and sisters [ 4 ] since his dad died in the dark war and his two older siblings got banished because they where half fae. Emma and Julian are childhood best friends and now parabatai but aren they more then that??? * winks * you know me i usually dont really like childhood best friends to lovers but emma and julian ohmygod YES PLEASE. They are forbidden romance witch makes it somuch full of tension and they are just amazing together. It also follows some povs of the other siblings such as the pov of Ty Blackthorn an amazing bby who has autism and is the twin brother of his sister livvy. both of them are 15 years old in this book. And the pov of Mark once of the half fae older siblings that got banished to faerie. who is an adorable stupid sarcastic cinnamon roll. It also follows the pov of Christina , a shadow hunter from Mexico who also lives with the Blackthorns and his Emma her best friend. I love the fact that it has multiple povs i always love seeing different sides of the story as a whole and Cassie did an amazing job with them. Recently there are a lot of weird murders taking place in Los Angeles that the charracters takeup as their mission finding out who does it as the person killing all these people is probably the same person who killed Emma her parents but ofc the clave cant know about them investigating these murders because the clave is stupid. The plot is basically as in all the shadow hunters books shadowhunter drama and murders and the clave being stupid , mostly Cassandra Clare her books are more chaqrracter focused and romance focused but i found the plot in Lady Midnight actually very good and it kept me hooked and i just wanted to know what would happen next not only because i cared somuch for the charracters but also for the actual plot. i was never bored witch is a good thing. I love this world a lot and always will so yes thats also good. also the plottwist at the end was ehm shocking to me i was screaming wtf the entire time so yes that was that. The charracters I just need to talk about these amazing charracters because thats what they are amazing. Cassie is a queen of charracters and their dynamics witch i live for. All charracters are different and unique and have their own personality and as a group they match so well and form a great dynamic that makes you care about them somuch. Emma Carstairs - What a babe , one of my new all time favorite female charracters i feel it. She is strong , she is sassy and sarcastic witch i love in a charracter and she is a badass woman without being not like other girls vibes. She has such a big heart and cares a lot for Jules and the family and is very loyal. In this book we see her looking for the killer of her parents and her need for revenge but also her figuring out that once you find out the truth and take revenge that doesnt take away the pain and doesnt just fix the feelings you have. “Don't roll your eyes. It punctures my dramatic moment. I want my dramatic moment unpunctured.” Julian '' Jules '' Blackthorn - what a babe also. Jules is so precious. like ohmygod. He literally became a parent and took care of the whole family at the age of 12 and gives everything for his family to be happy , he is so selfless and so protective of them and its beautiful. He does everything for the people he loves and is so soft but also lies and is morally grey in doing that. he can be sassy as hell if he wants too and is just ugh to soft for this world okay? protect at all cost please. “When you love someone, they become a part of who you are. They’re in everything you do. They’re in the air you breathe and the water you drink and the blood in your veins. Their touch stays on your skin and their voice stays in your ears and their thoughts stay in your mind. You know their dreams because their nightmares pierce your heart and their good dreams are your dreams too. And you don’t think they’re perfect, but you know their flaws, the deep-down truth of them, and the shadows of all their secrets, and they don’t frighten you away; in fact you love them more for it, because you don’t want perfect Ty Blackthorn - Ty is so precious like please protect him , okay i realize that i say this about all of them but ty truly. Ty has autism and we need that kinda reps in books explored , the way cassie explores this rep and his charracter is beautiful and just perfect , it doesnt overtakes his charracters and he isnt just his rep but it is a part of him and she writes it perfect. He has such a big heart and is just perfect. “We both see the same world, but in a different way. Ty feels the same joy I do, the joy of creation. We feel all the same things, only the shapes of our feelings are different.” Mark Blackthorn - i love this bby. he is hillarious and makes me wheeze so hard i just cant. He is a fae and is adjusting to human life in this book and its hillarious. He has such a big heart and seeing his story from him being banished from his family for so long and coming back to help them solve the murders that take place in Los Angeles , him being confused and his struggle with adjusting to life and his family again is beautiful and painful and hillarious. i love this bby , he is so pure and says everything he thinks. also him watching the children is the most funny thing ever lmao. also the scene where he is wearing no clothers you know where i am talking about if you have read lmao i never laughed so hard. “He bumped into a pay phone and said, 'Excuse me, miss,' on our way in," said Julian. "It's polite to apologize," said Mark with the same small voice. "Not to inanimate objects.” - WHEEZE. I love all the other charracters aswell , Christina is also a badass , Magnus is also ofc in this being the therapist of everyone as always , jace and clary are in the story and i didnt hate them wow. And the other siblings are awesome aswell. Like cassie always does an amazing job making everyone the main charracter even the side ones and doesnt just add side charracters just to add them they all have their own story and deepness and place in the story and dynamic. ALSO TESSA AND JEM BBYS ARE IN HERE and CHURCH < 3 Charracter Dynamics Jules and Emma - Jules and Emma are perfect together and i love them somuch , please just let them be happy?! the forbidden romance part makes them so intresting and i suck for that trope , the tension that comes with that. cassie is a master for creating tension. They are so pure together and know eachother so well and are always there for eachother and the steamy scenes aaHHH i love cassies steamy scenes even tho they dont contain a lot of details they also dont just get skipped over as in a lot of ya books. i stan. “Why all these paintings of you? Because I'm an artist, Emma. These pictures are my heart. And if my heart was a canvas, every square inch of it would be painted over with you.” I also love the whole Blackthorn family dynamidc so much , they are so precious and show us what family is and i love it. Ty and jules are so precious together , mark and the siblings , Mark and Jules , Mark and Emma , all of them < 3 i love somuch. i love books with family in it. found or not found and this is a combination of both of those. Overall read this book its amazing. ...more |

One of the most beautiful and emotional and anxious books i have readed in my life so far damn. Clockwork princces is the final book in the infernal devices triology by Cassandra Clare. I really enjoyed Clockwork angel and clockwork Prince , butt clockwork Princes is a true masterpiece and definitly stes the top for me. This book is just filled with beautiful words , words about three people who share an unbreakable bond together and about all the emotions that come with that , humans with flaws and humans who struggle , it is about life and about hope and about love above all. Love in the form of relationships , love in the form of the founded familly Charlotte created within the walls of the institute , about friendship that feels like brotherhood between Will and Jem. “There is more to living than not dying.” “Every meeting led to a parting, and so it would, as long as life was mortal. In every meeting there was some of the sorrow of parting, but in everything parting there was some of the joy of meeting as well.” “Our hearts, they need a mirror, Tessa. We see our better selves in the eyes of those who love us. And there is a beauty that brevity alone provides.” First of all the most important thing of this book and off this triology , Will , Jem and Tessa and their love triangle. Honestly this love triangle is done is such a beautiful way. It made me tear uo in this book somany times , it made me anxious , it made me smile and ugh. This love triangle i feel like really makes you wonder about love and loving people and how it works and if you can love two people at the same time and that that is okay because feelings are feelings and they are okay and can not be stopped. This love triangle is potrayed in such a beautiful way and the bonds between Jem , Will and Tessa is so beautiful created + this is a love triangle with no anger , no jelousy and needing to choose and saying it is wrong. This love triangle is just so beautiful + the way this book ended , dont even start aaaah !!!! this book ended in such a beautiful way and i wont spoil but aaaaah , i cried and smiled somuch. It could not have ended any better way like Cassandra Clare you are a miracle !!!!! Then we have Will herondale I love this charracter somuch. He is amazing. His development troughout the books is amazing and he is just such a selfless , pure smoll bean that needs to be protected at all costst pls. He is so loyal and ugh. I cant , like he is a beautiful charracter , he has his flaws and that makes him real and that is the case with everyone of these charracters in this triology , they have their flaws and are real and human. Jem of course broke me in this book because Jem also needs to be protected at all costst , what a beautiful soul this is. the friendship between Will and Jem is something you dont see much in books or movies , a strong friendship between two guys that goes so deep. And that is beautiful in this book especially in this final book they made me smile and cry somuch. such a beautiful potrayel of a friendship. I also loved Gabriel and his storyline and struggels in this book , i loved Charlot who wants everybody to feel at home in her institute and wants to protect everyone , i loved Henry and his cuteness , i loved how we got an ending of Jessmine her story wich was also beautiful. Then last i want to mention that this book has a plot and the plot is great and exciting but what makes the plot excited. Is these charracters with their flaws and the love you have for them that makes you root for them , and care for them and care for the plot. So that is great and i love that in books. It is definitly a charracter driven triology. And i definitly reccoment it to anyone who likes charracters and relationships driven books. I also enjoyed the world of the shadowhunters a lot. I give this book 5 billion stars , it is perfect. so yes i love this book. Do i chose between who i love more, jem and tessa or tessa and will. NO , because they love eachother all and i love the three of them together just as much. because Tess loves them both and that is possible and will and jem love eachother and ugh. ...more |

“She walks to the boy, tilts her head up at him, and smiles. He bends down to kiss her. Then he helps her onto the horse, and she rides away with him
“She walks to the boy, tilts her head up at him, and smiles. He bends down to kiss her. Then he helps her onto the horse, and she rides away with him to a faraway place, until they can no longer be seen. These are only rumors, of course, and make little more than a story to tell around the fire. But it is told. And thus they live on.” “You cannot harden your heart to the future just because of your past. You cannot use cruelty against yourself to justify cruelty to others.” I can't. I dont even have words rightnow , this book destroyed me. Honestly this is one of the most beautiful and important and emotional wrecking books i have readed. This triology7 became one of my favorite triologys of all time because damn. The whole story we follow in this triology is beyond emotional and beautiful. We follow the story of Adelinda a broken lonely girl who has been broken by life , wo in the first book just wants to be loved and to feel like she bellongs. Then betrayel comes and she feels like every dark thougt she ever had and everything other people told her all her life is true , she is alone and she is unloved and she can not trustt anyone , she is darkness. The second book we see her struggeling with this darkness , we see her suffering from the voices in her head not able to see what is real and what is not. Then we have Midnight star , the end of her broken beautiful journey. Where she understands why she is who she is. Where she wants to be light , where she admits she cares and that she does have love , love of her sister who had always stand by her side , love of Magiano a light that drives her darkness back and shows her that she deserves to be loved , a soul who understands her and her brokenness and sees her light in the darkness. The book where she accepts her past and what the world has made her , the book where she choses light, This story is beyond important and honestly this triology could not have ended any better in my opinion then the way that it did. It is truly emotional wrecking and beautiful. Spoilers alert ! The way Adelinda choses light , the way she sacrifes her soul for her sisters where she is not selfish and wants to be , wants to live , wants to love and be better she choses not to chose that and she is seeing that what she did was wrong and that she can make up by doing the right thing now , saving violetta. This part made my cry my fucking eyeballs out. I can't. And then her being the midnight star and shine brightest of them all like Magiano always used to say. I can't , i just can't. Like i said i feel like this triology could not have a better ending even tho it is so emotional and got me fucked up in every way possible. It is beautiful and supposed to be in my opinion. Spoiler free ish Okay now i am done with crying and speaking of all my emotions , okay i am not but i will just pretend to be :) This book picks up and a bit of time has passed where the rose society endend , Violetta is gone , she left Adelinda. And Adelinda struggels , she is queen now and she is cruel , the whispers are lopuder then ever but she also feels more broken then ever. Then further in this book the charracters find out something very important and they go on a mission and join eachother for the world , to make the world a better place. I loved the pacing of this book , it was very fast and i loved that but still it also had a lot of depht and a lot of emotions. The charracters where again amazing in this book. As i said Adelinda has become one of my all time favorite charracters , and her journey here had me emotional a lot. I also loved Magiano and i loved seeing more of his past. I love his romantic relationship with Adelinda a lot. It is so beautiful how he sees her beyond her darkness and how he calms her voices and brings out the light. I loved all the other charracters aswell and how they became one on this book and worked together for the greater good , even Terren had me so emotional , his will do to right by the gods , and then that scene. UGH. i can't. I loved the sc enes between Violette and Adelinda in this book a lot , it had somuch meaning and was again emotional. Cause yeh this book is just all emotions. Overall i feel like this book could not have been better , it is definitly my favorite of the triology. And i love the ending , it was an epic emotional journey and honedtly every one should read this beyond amazing triology. Now. oh and i also loved finding more out in depht over why the Malfettos excisted. “After a lifetime of darkness, I want to leave something behind that is made of light.” ...more |

“We are drawn to stories,” he says in a soft voice, “and every scar carries one.” “Hiding it makes you more beautiful,” Magiano says. Then he takes “We are drawn to stories,” he says in a soft voice, “and every scar carries one.” “Hiding it makes you more beautiful,” Magiano says. Then he takes his hand away, exposing my scar again. “But revealing it makes you you.” He nods at me. “So wear it proudly.” The Rose Society is the second book in the young elites triology. This book picks up right where the young elites left. Adelina has gone on the run with her sister violetta wich she feels is the only person on earth that she can trust. Trying to fiend other elites to get her way back for the throne and seek revenge on the daggers. This book was again freaking good. I do think i prefer the first one a bit over this one but damn. The main charracter is i think in my opinion the best thing about this series and this book , in the first book we see Adelina struggle with herself , her yearn for powers and love , her feeling of being alone and her darkness and in this book that is present even more , she seeks revenge and she believes being dark and evil and not caring about anything other then power is the way for her to not get hurt. She is such a moral grey charracter. Like you understand her , you really do. You get why she feels the way she feels but you also want to scream at her THIS IS NOT THE WAY and you can see her becoming darker and darker and losing herself in the darkness and that is so intense to read about. I think Adelina is definitly one of the most well worked out grey charracters out there and if you enjoy those kinda charracters and storys this is definitly the book for you cause damn. This book is just one big rollercoaster of emotions. It is also such a great book because i personally just didn't know whose side i should be one , everyone is morally grey , everyone has their own motives and you just root for them all but also dont ? There where also new charracters introduced in this book wich where a great additions to the book. Still finding the magic system in this book so intresting and i love it a looottt. The romance aspect of the book i also really enjoy because you can see that is is not wrong but you want it to be right and ugh. But then there is also Adelinda and Magiano and that does work where enzo and alinda dont work. And their chemistry was also great. I really enjoyed this book a lot and i think it is a really great book. Especially the charracters and the magic system and the darkness in this book is so damn good. ...more |
