The Night Circus is a rich, The magic that this book contains - though it seems almost palpable - cannot simply be put into words, if at all possible.
The Night Circus is a rich, magical story that unfolds slowly and carefully, ruthlessly dragging the reader with it into a floating, dream-like state. It rewards patient readers that are ready to experience something special with a deliberate story that is as wondrous as it is strange, and makes for a trip down a rabbit hole so enchanting you'll be a different person coming out on the other side - almost like Alice after returning from Wonderland. Finishing this story is like waking up from a dream you're not quite ready to leave yet, that you're desperately trying to hold on to as you watch it slowly slipping from your grasp. And as you face reality again, everything feels cold and grey and wrong, and you're searching for the next thing that will make you feel as complete and alive as that special place did, almost yearning for a similar experience to still your newly awoken hunger.

I'm left with an urge to explore a place that is forever impossible for me to visit. A place that feels so real but is at the same time so painfully unreachable to me. Having to leave it behind feels like an unearthly task, like leaving a piece of myself behind. I know rereading this story later in life will feel like returning home.
Erin Morgenstern created her personal masterpiece with The Night Circus, and you can feel her love for the world she's created and the characters which roam in it seething through the pages. Every word that was written on these pages seems to have been scrutinized thoroughly and put in the perfect place. The life that she breathed into Celia and Marco and Widget and Poppet and Bailey [and all of them] makes up the whole book, and that along with the most magical storytelling I've ever had the pleasure to be swept up in, make up for one of my favorite reading experiences of my entire life so far.
I'm a rêveur, a dreamer, in every sense and with every inch of me, and The Night Circus reminded me of that....more
