Un giallo ricco di colpi di scena con una trama ben costruita e caratterizzata dall'alternarsi dei punti di vista dei due protagonisti. Cosa che ho apprezzato molto, dato che non amo particolarmente il racconto in prima persona, soprattutto nei mystery: lo trovo limitante. Mentre ho trovato geniale il doppio POV. Lo stile narrativo dell'autore è brillante, ironico e mai banale. Ho apprezzato e amato le citazioni musicali e cinematografiche, e l'ambientazione. Durante la lettura mi scappava da dire, "Ah, ma qui ci sono stata!", e niente, dopo Roma, amo Palermo <3 Sicuramente andrò avanti con la serie. Consigliato....more

Wow, lo devo leggere subito! L'idea di base era molto promettente, almeno sulla carta, ma strada facendo ha fatto la fine del soufflé uscito troppo in anticipo dal forno. Fino a metà libro la storia mi aveva preso, addirittura all'inizio non riuscivo a smettere di sghignazzare... Poi è diventato imbarazzante o, come si dice nel linguaggio moderno, cringe. Finale compreso. E frettoloso, aggiungo. E con un paio di punti interrogativi che chissà se troveranno mai risposta, nei volumi successivi (?) I personaggi maschili li ho trovati molto più coerenti rispetto a quelli femminili. Inutile dire che avrei preso volentieri a schiaffi la protagonista (ma solo qualche volta) e sua sorella, di un'antipatia unica. Nell'insieme una lettura scorrevole, da intrattenimento....more

Come ho già scritto nel commento al primo volume, questa è la mia seconda esperienza con i manga e sono molto contenta di avergli dato un'altra chance: un'ottimo prodotto, non c'è che dire. La trama intriga dalla prima pagina e la storia è avvincente, senza ombra di dubbio posso definire quest'opera un page-turner: non si riesce a posare sul comodino finché non l'hai finita. I personaggi sono affascinanti e misteriosi e anche se sono tanti non è difficile seguirli (meno male che la maggior parte non usa nomi giapponesi, altrimenti sarebbe stato un casino star loro dietro per me :D). Il plot-twist è sempre dietro l'angolo. Il finale mi ha lasciato un po' in sospeso, come se la storia non fosse davvero finita e lasciasse una porta aperta per un eventuale seguito. Mi hanno prestato l'intera serie, accompagnandola con lodi sperticate e allora mi sono decisa: ieri, complice la festività e la giornata piuttosto grigia e piovosa ho iniziato il primo volume... Letteralmente divorato. Partenza col botto: storia avvincente, personaggi affascinanti e misteriosi quanto basta, disegni molto belli. Un testo teatrale molto interessante e all'avanguardia, considerati il tema trattato (femminismo) e l'epoca in cui è stato scritto (1879). La cosa che mi ha colpito è l'evoluzione della protagonista: da personaggio frivolo e svampito (la stavo già prendendo a legnate dalla prima pagina) a donna che, per sfuggire alla condizione di mero oggetto di proprietà del marito, dà prova di coraggio e dignità (il confronto finale è da applausi). Non è stata una lettura facile per via della forma narrativa che non è proprio nelle mie corde, ma sono contenta di aver letto quest'opera perché mi è stata consigliata da una persona che finora non ha sbagliato un colpo :) Un classico assolutamente da leggere.

E invece eccomi qui, ancora con le lacrime agli occhi, a scrivere due parole di commento. Uno YA (young adult), sì avete capito bene, come non ne ho mai letti prima. Non di quelli stupidi con i personaggi che hanno lo spessore della carta velina e tutto "che bello, che bello" e "ti amo, ti odio, lasciamoci, rimettiamoci insieme...": dimenticateli. Una storia ricca di emozioni che mi ha rubato il cuore e, ma dai!, mi ha fatto commuovere. Mi piace lo stile dell'autore e trovo sia stata una bella mossa quella di usare il linguaggio "adolescenziale": i personaggi sono risultati molto reali. Il POV alternato ormai è quello che riesce a farmi digerire il racconto in prima persona... sta diventando la mia cup of tea :P Il finale delizioso. Promosso a pieni voti!...more

In poche pagine riesce a coinvolgerlo e a travolgerlo nel mare oscuro della follia del protagonista, fino all'epilogo spiazzante, che non ti aspetti e che incombe senza avvertire. Ringrazio chi me l'ha consigliato e, ovviamente, leggerò altre sue opere. 5 stelle meritatissime....more

Ebbene, grazie *** (non faccio nomi per una questione di privacy) per avermi proposto questa lettura, perché mi sono trovata presa e compresa in questa corrispondenza impetuosa e disperata di due autori di cui non sapevo nemmeno l'esistenza... (al solito, colpa della mia ignoranza in storia della letteratura :D). Un amore intenso e tormentato, purtroppo destinato a una fine tragica. Noioso perché per almeno 3/4 della storia non succede assolutamente nulla che possa attirare l'attenzione: mi sono trovata in un "dimmi che è un distopico senza dirmi che è un distopico". Solo verso la fine, come si dice, i nodi vengono al pettine. Ma il tutto è raccontato con uno stile freddo, algido, appunto. Non mi sono sentita coinvolta. Ho preferito di gran lunga il film, che, al contrario, ha saputo tirare fuori qualsiasi tipo di sentimento fino alle lacrime finali. ...more
