I picked this up because I was in the mood for a prairie romance, but there were definitely some issues with this. The parts with the Native American tribe were hard to read because of the way the main character thought about their culture - it was pretty brutal. And there were some other issues as well.
This satisfied my craving for a frontier read in the moment, but I wouldn't recommend this book....more

Set in the years leading up to the American Revolution, this tale features a fascinating juxtaposition of one twin raised in a white family and the other in an Oneida Indian family. The dialect and culture of the tribe is completely distinct from the white settlement and I find it really genuine. With romance, history, and Christian faith elements, this is a solid read.
