If only he wasn't competing against a cute guy he may just be developing a crush on. And if only his ex wasn't trying to win him back. This was a cute YA holiday romance and even inspired me to have a cookie party with friends for Christmas....more

TI liked the premise of a fantasy graphic novel about a young witch grappling with her mental health, but I think the book itself just wasn't for me. The story got so bogged down in its (admittedly interesting) magical take on therapy that I found it really hard to get through. Any time I find myself skipping pages on a graphic novel just to get back to the narrative isn't a good thing. The art was lovely and there was a lot to admire here, I just wish I could've enjoyed it as much as I wanted to....more

Bailey George (see what she did thereThis absolutely adorable reimagining of It's a Wonderful Life as a sapphic rom-com got me in the holiday spirit! Bailey George (see what she did there?) is a burnt out eldest daughter trying to keep her town's Christmas festival afloat while running her late father's real estate business. She wants nothing more than to escape Lanford Falls and its Winter Wonderfest, but when this year's festival coordinator winds up in the hospital, Bailey has to cancel her Christmas vacation and take on the burden of Winter Wonderfest once again. The return of her high school crush might make sticking arounhd worth it, but Bailey's holiday spirit is so depleted it'll take the help of three magical drag queens from the House of Angel to help her see what she already has right in front of her.
I couldn't put this one down it was so good. The book stands on it's own, whether you're familiar with the movie it's inspired by or not, but it's also full of references that anyone who's seen It's a Wonderful Life will love. Much like Bailey, this book reignited my holiday spirit and definitely has me in the mood to read more holiday rom-coms. I can only hope they're all this good!...more

She has such a strong voice, and the stories she tells are so compelling. This collection is more futuristic and sci-fi focused but just as good as Cursed Bunny. The stories in this collection were overall less weird than the first one, but still weird enough to keep me satisfied....more

Older throws you straight into the worldbuilding, which is jarring at first but soon becomes par for the course. I grew to love Mossa and Pleiti and can't wait to read more of their adventures....more

It's less enemies to loverIn this Pride and Prejudice retelling, the second eldest Bennett is a trans boy who's not yet out to his family or society. It's less enemies to lovers since Oliver is immediately taken with Darcy when he's dressed as himself, but Darcy's rudeness to him when he wears dresses complicates and is presented as "Elizabeth" complicates their relationship. Especially since Oliver doesn't want him to realize those two people are the same. The writing and dialogue are a bit modern, but I enjoyed it all the same....more
