The person best known for his work as part of the Manhattan Project team and for his Nobel price in Physics, Mr. Feynman was also a musician, a painter, a jokester, a safe-cracker, and many more things. The man liked to play as a way to go through life. Today, the news of the particle collider bring home the great impact this man had on the theories that are still being tested. I recommend this book to any teenager or to any young-minded adult. It is fun. ...more

Having lived in Texas and as an enthusiast of business history, this book served to close various gaps. It also made much sense of what I had observed first hand while a Texas resident. All I have to say is that, when reading this book, you will be surprised of the depth of influence that a few risk takers have had in the world that we know....more

The book also offers a tremendous recount of the mind of the most influential western thinkers from the classic Greeks to the modern German scholars. Thus, the book is not for all, as the author takes short detours that are densely packed with reaching thought. All in all, it makes for a great read and it is truly valuable, even if one was to not agree with his thesis....more

It was difficult to get past the preachy, sometimes morbid approach to information transfer, but I understand that the topic and the lack of attention paid by all may call for it. What really fascinates me is the thought that there are those out there who could bring value to our lives by sharing what they know in what has gone wrong with our way to handle our world. If they could work with the rest of us, maybe we will see that market's can indeed do great rather than harm. I am optimistic about the outcome. ...more

UnfortunateMr. Sorkin reports from what seems to be a diligent investigation effort of the events that took place during the recent financial crisis. I thus am left wanting more. ...more
