Holy Sheep! This has been on my TBR forever, then it was pimped on fb and I snagged it up because I couldn't decide what to read next and the decision was made for me :) I was busy throughout the day going school shopping for my kiddos and whatnot, but it was finally 10pm when I was able to grab my Kindle to sit down to read. I stayed up til after 4am reading. I HAD to finish this book.
We kind of got thrown into the deep end right at the start and for some reason, I loved that. Gabe is a detective and Angelo is The Los P gang leader. Not a good mix. Right? Oh and Gabe is straight. I liked that he thought about Angelo being a guy in his head and kind of had a battle, but when it came right down to it, he was all in. Kind of like us readers at the beginning.
I took off half a star because (view spoiler)[wanted something to happen with Phelps. Like Gabe confront him or Angelo telling him Gabe knows. SOMETHING. Is that a stupid thing to give a lower rating to? Maybe, but I'm allowed. (hide spoiler)]
I also really liked Kane, I hope we get to see him later.
I honestly didn't think I would enjoy this as much as I did. This is a work of fiction and I forking loved it. This will definitely be in my Top Books of 2014!...more

Some may say that Derek had a anger problem, but for me, it was he was passionate. He only got pissed when he saw the abused animals. He took that personally and I can't say I blame him. He only wanted to hurt the owners, it's not like he was out starting bar fights. Maybe that's me being naive? I don't know.
I am excited to learn more about The Agency! I'll be reading the rest of this series :)...more
