There was even one that hit my neighborhood a few weeks ago, but luckily they were able to contain it before it hit our street. That fear of wildfires is real right now and made Mountain Abduction Rescue all the more vivid for me. This story seems so plausible that I could easily envision it happening right now in real time.
Jackson’s troop has been abducted, possibly by a serial arsonist, and though Hazel knows that her eight-year-old son is trained to handle the wild her mind can’t help but hold her greatest fears captive. She will do anything to get to her son, as any good mother would, and has the help of her best friends brother (and her old crush) Mitchell to help fight the terrain to find her son. They both share a love of the mountains and Mitchell has a fierce determination to protect Hazel, and find Jackson, at all costs.
Imagine all the emotions that would be whirling through you when your young son is possibly being held captive by a serial arsonist and you’re searching for him with your ex-crush who broke your heart years prior. On top of a crazy man that keeps setting fires that puts the heroes in even greater danger. Talk about drama!
For not being outdoorsy by any means, I sure do love a good suspense that is set in the mountains. I guess I love to live vicariously through the characters, and the more on the edge of my seat I am the better the journey, and Mountain Abduction Rescue knocked it out of the park. My heart went out to Hazel, and Mitchell was such an amazing help and support. I was on the edge of my seat, the action almost nonstop as wave after wave knocks Hazel and Mitchell down.
The Love Inspired Suspense series is always a favorite of mine, and this novel was no exception. I love that I can get lost so quickly in this narrative, the characters are well-developed and written with such heart, and the suspense is truly entertaining. This is a great summer read that is also pretty scary when you think that something like this could actually happen.

I have always been a fan of her clean suspense novels, but she is switching things up with a clean contemporary romance in her first Love Inspired Romance novel, A Father for Her Boys.
The chemistry between Nathaniel and Sofia is obvious from their first chance encounter and you see their relationship naturally progress over time as Sofia adjusts to being the guardian of her two young nephews while the three of them grieve an incredible personal loss, and Nathaniel is fighting the pain of losing his first love. Together, Sofia and Nathaniel create a beautiful friendship while also wrestling with their feelings for one another as they navigate the summer together, both bonding by their natural attraction as well as their individual anguish.
The characters won me over in this novel. Danielle always does such an incredible job of creating individuals with such depth and heart that you can’t help but feel connected to them. The overall vibe is one of hope amid the pain and the knowing that it will not always be like this, a powerful message that we all need to be reminded of from time to time.
Being a mom of two boys myself I feel like this made me connect to this story on an even deeper level, as I too went through a time of being a single parent with two young boys and reading this brought me back to that place. During those darker moments I wish I would’ve had an inspirited read like this for me to escape into and I loved this little departure from reality. Though there is grief that is dealt with it comes from a place of promise, giving off hopeful vibes right along with the love that is blossoming, and I am here for all of it.

Sierra has to protect her infant nephew from her sister’s evil ex-boyfriend, who will stop at nothing to get documents that will incriminate his nefarious deeds that Sierra’s sister has hidden from him. Detective Cole comes to the rescue to help protect Sierra and her infant nephew from the relentless psychopath.
Sierra and Cole have a complicated past, as they were once engaged, but Sierra had broken off the engagement when her fear of his profession being too dangerous overrode her commitment. The moment they are back in each other’s lives it’s obvious that the feelings have no dissipated over the years, and I love this for them. I am a sucker for a good second chance romance, and with them both being great characters they truly deserve one another. Going through this ordeal makes Sierra see exactly why she broke off her engagement to Cole but how can she continue to justify this choice when all her heart wants is him?
I really felt the emotion in this novel, along with some truly heart-pounding suspense. The attention to detail is such a testament to Tina Wheeler. She is amazing at putting you in these tense moments, giving such amazing suspense, while also giving her characters such heart and depth on a masterful level. The perpetrator is truly terrifying and I hate to think that there are such menacing individuals that are lurking out there somewhere in the shadows. Then there is the whole mystery surrounding what is going on with Sierra’s sister, which adds yet another layer of complexity and tension. One thing I absolutely adored was being able to see Jackson and Bailey from Ranch Under Fire again! It’s always such a treat to see characters from past novels that I loved reading.
I devoured this novel in one sitting and enjoyed every heart-pounding moment. It’s so well-written with good characters, has such fast-paced suspense, and is full of faith, love, and second chances. A truly enjoyable and suspenseful read!

The series kicks off with Macey Stone, a character that you can’t help but root for. After dealing with an embarrassing end to a nannying job, Macey finds herself back home in Colorado, and in front of her ex-best friend, Cole, the last place she wanted to be.
Cole is all around a great guy with a wonderful heart and admirable drive and determination. The feelings between Cole and Masey are obvious, but past hurts make things complicated, not to mention the current situation they find themselves in. Is anything ever easy in life? It seems like the more they try to stay away from one another the more the universe wants them together, but that means facing old wounds, and fighting to do what is right in the face of adversity.
This novel seriously has all the feels, and then some. Cole’s daughter Lexi was definitely a bright spot, and the perfect balance to the drama that is swirling around, especially when its comes to Cole’s uncle Wallace. Seeing Cole, Macey, and Lexi together, as well as the whole Stone family, was truly heartwarming. Faith and family are abundant, and you can’t help but root for these characters and crave to see that happily ever after. Reading this novel gets me so excited about this series, and I cannot wait to see what is in store for the Stone family!
