The “twist” isn’t believable when everything - every action, every thought - proves the opposite. If you want me to really believe it then I need to be able to look back and see the hidden nuisances I missed, but there is literally NOTHING to prove it true. ...more

Troubled marriage due to neglect, but when Marco found Diane it went downhill quick. The man was just too blind to what was right in front of him and she was just too immature.
His constant thoughts that her actions were because “her wires were crossed” and her acting like her life was a soap opera while also claiming to be strong ruined their characters. Ultimately I found their relationship extremely toxic, especially the sex. There’s rough sex and then there’s what they had, which was abusive. It wasn’t sexy to read about and after the first encounter I skipped over all the others.
Marco’s big revelation at just how bad things were and actually apologizing for his actions at 98% was the icing on the cake to a lackluster book. ...more

I wanted to be heartbroken for this “forgotten” heroine. But I just didn’t get it. Will some have all the feels? Sure, in fact it’s obvious some/most due based on the reviews. For me, it was just a miss.
There just wasn’t any angst. They met, he fell first, had an adult conversation about feelings, expectations, etc, and that was it. Yeah, there was the required “breakup” but I found that to not be very emotional. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s my mood, maybe it was just to mature (adults acting like adults and actually communicating…minus one event), I don’t know.
Book is completely safe even though the Hero runs, and has become a billionaire, an Escort service. However, it’s not a sexual type of escort business. It has a no physical/sexual rule so it’s basically just men who women hire for dates. That’s it. No drama, no angst….
Highlight is that the Hero is described as a Jensen Ackles look a like and that alone deserves the 2 stars (if you don’t know who Jensen Ackles is do yourself the life changing favor and google that fine specimen of a man. The author choose a good model for her hero)....more

I’ve tried a few of her books because they sound interesting and every time there are things that just turn me off of the book. In this one it was the lack of angst.
It had the perfect set up - evil mother tricks heroines mates to mate with her favorite daughter (aka NOT the heroine…). It was right there! Ripe for the picking! Sooo much could be done with this story line but…it fell sooo flat. When you resolve the angst and have the heroine and Heros reunite by 35% there’s honestly not much more to the story. Yeah, you get to read about them coming together and learning to be together again but you’ve already resolved the main conflict! In fact, there wasn’t any real angst as the Heros rejected the sister almost immediately and the mother was banished within an hour or two of the manipulation - which the heroine finds out before the 35% mark so there wasn’t really anything for her to forgive them for or to hold onto any anger. At 35% it was all worked out….the heroine knew they were never really mated to her sister…they were all happy and sexing each other up.
At 85% there’s the third act but like the initial “angst” it was resolved by 95ish%. So very little book was actually dedicated to the antithesis of the story line which makes for a very boring book…and firmly placed this author on my no fly list. ...more

Yes, we did get some more information about some of the characters but for it being book 3 I shouldn’t feel so unfulfilled about who the characters really are. I honestly feel like I don’t know them. I feel just as confused about the who and what as I was when starting book 1. Everything is a secret and nothing can be fully explained because....we just because. Also, I’m confused if the author is going to make this into an RH or not. Book one make it appear that no it would not be an RH but then some things changed and clarification has not been made...it’s fristrating.
Yes, I’ll continue to read the series because under it all I do enjoy and I am interested in the storyline. It’s he lack of progress that’s bothersome.

The first book was good but sadly each forthcoming book went down hill with the biggest disappointment being this book. The first 10% was dedicated to a confrontation with Mr X but then they went to a safe house and for the next 65% was nothing but sex. I’m not even joking. Each guy multiple times in multiple positions all to “distract” from the issue that is Mr X. From 75%-about 90% was the final confrontation with Mr X which was….anticlimactic…at best. At most 25% of the book was actually dedicated to setting Shi free from Mr X.
Ultimately there’s only so many issues you can throw at your characters before you have to start repeating. In this book alone Shi ran away to “protect” the guys twice. Nothing new and this book could have been 100 pages. ...more

She’s seriously make me question myself when it comes to what I’m attracted to when it comes to Calvin and Carter (Untouchable).
Both are undoubtedly and undeniably committed to their heroines and in a book world where it’s becoming rarer and rarer I guess some moral ambiguity can be accepted.

I think both characters grew a lot and realized where they went wrong. I also really enjoyed that the "issues" that they faced in their marriage had nothing to do with infidelity or anything the such - it was communication and his work. The heroine was strong and even when they started to reconcile she had grew to realize that she had lost herself during their marriage and still had some work to do before they could completely move forward. The hero was def the strong silent type. He didn't convey his emotions for his wife at all...until she left him and he realized what he had done wrong. However, just because he's silent doesn't mean he didn't care and didn't listen to her. For him, he simply got caught up in all that was required from him and his role models def weren't the best. The best part is the end though when you find out the one bit of selfishness the hero had - if you weren't convinced by then of his feelings for the heroine you were after that.
Safe - hero is NOT a manwhore, heroine had a few partners in the past. No cheating. ...more

Started off good…Lilah was determined to not be with the Wyvern’s after their treatment of her! Her commentary got a little frustrating it she was being strong.
Wouldn’t talk to the Heros ✅ Moved back to the OCC ✅ Actively looking at heat candidates ✅
But then it kinda fell apart. The longer it went on the more you realized that there wasn’t ever going to be any good heat candidates or other Pack candidates. Part due to circumstances and part due to Lilah. Plus, the guys lost most of their alphaness. Atlas crumbled, Jett became a sub (is it even possible to be an Alpha and a sub at the same time?
