Alright, let me start by saying that I had high hopes about it. I usually love Saffron A. Kent’s work, but wow, was I let down? I don't know what happened to her creativity thesedays. I get that Saffron A. Kent was going for a certain vibe with this one, but it missed the mark. To be fair, maybe this book just wasn’t for me. I’m sure there are people out there who might vibe with the pretentious storyline and distant characters and the slow-burn (if you can even call it that) romance. But honestly? I wish I’d spent my time on something else....more

Ok Let's just say if mediocrity had wings, this book would be soaring high in the sky, desperately flapping its cliché-ridden feathers.
We've got the brooding hero with all the personality of a soggy cardboard box and the heroine, who's so bland-predictable with stilted dialogue. God, so cringey! I swear, I rolled my eyes so much, I probably burned a few extra calories. And of course, there's typical teenage drama about the love triangle straight out of the "Generic Romance Handbook." Because who needs originality when you can recycle tired old tropes and worn-out dialogue?
Looking back, I wish I had spent my time on something more worthwhile, like watching cat videos on the internet. There's just something about those adorable furballs that never fails to bring a smile to my face. ^_^...more

It's not that I only enjoy vanilla stories—I'm open to diverse narratives with darker elements. However, what I found in this book wasn't just unconventional but unhealthy in many aspects. Even the explicit scenes, lacking proper buildup, come off as awkward and cringe-worthy, leaving a distinctly unpleasant taste in my mouth....more

Despite my initial disappointment, I decided to give the book another chance, hoping that the second half would redeem it since it seemed unlikely that it had received consistent five-star reviews. Oh! I was so wrong! The book's biggest let-down lay in its shallow and emotionally unengaging romantic interactions between characters, which overshadowed any other flaws present in the story. It is truly a shame that I invested an entire night in this, only to be left feeling dissatisfied....more

The writing did not improve, still all the characters lacked depth. Even the main part of the story has no details about a lot of things, like how they transferred Aefe's thing to another parson's body. I had so many questions, but really, I just hoped that by the end, readers would find something to make up for all the time wasted on this ridiculous series.
Anyway It almost felt as if this third installment was hastily written and published merely to bring the series to a conclusion. Thank God, somehow I mustered the strength to read through and complete this disappointing experience....more

Should’ve known the second I saw that janky, low-budget cover, like, what was I even expecting? But nooo, I fell for those shiny reviews. Thought I was getting into something epic. Wrong. Dead wrong. Ugh. And don’t even get me started on the FMC... no brains, zero personality. And the most predictable, yawn-worthy characters all around her. And the plot? It’s like a badly rehashed version of stuff I’ve already read a hundred times. Then they toss in all this messed-up, sadistic crap that’s borderline deranged, and if I’d had any clue, I’d never have touched this thing with a ten-foot pole. And the romance? Pure torture. No chemistry, no sense...it’s like they forced it in just to check some box. But here I am, still flipping pages, trying to understand why people are hyping this up like it’s the next big thing. Seriously. I feel like I’m losing brain cells trying to get through this mess....more

I didn't like how poorly executed or written it was. And the story... meh, not clear what exactly the author was trying to establish with this. I have not yet come across such extremely bad book like this one. "Extremely outrageous behavior" isn't my kind of thing, nor am I a big fan of abusive stories, but I still try to read occasionally if I see something promising with potentially redemptive characters. My bad luck, this book was not what I thought or predicted. I regret picking it up. I should have seen the reviews before starting....more

Firstly, the "Destructively Alluring (Allure #1)" by N. Isabelle Blanco is a contemporary Erotic romance novella that fails to live up to its promise.
Firstly, the characters were difficult to connect with. The protagonist was frustratingly indecisive and lacked a clear sense of identity or purpose. The love interest was overly controlling in a very bad way (kinda toxic). I didn't feel invested in their romance at all.
Secondly, the plot was confusing and disjointed, making the overall narrative feel messy. The writing style was quite repetitive and lacked polish and at times felt like it was trying too hard to be edgy and provocative. I found myself struggling to stay engaged with this predictable story and had to force myself to continue reading.
Finally, the ending felt rushed and unsatisfying, leaving me feeling disappointed with the overall reading experience. While it may appeal to fans of the genre looking for a quick read, others may find it lacking in substance and depth....more

The way it created a suspenseful atmosphere at the start, setting the tone for a dark and eerie story, was quite impressive. And that beautiful cover really fits the concept.
However, it's really sad the author couldn't uphold that commitment, leading to certain elements of the narrative becoming increasingly perplexing as I delved deeper into the chapters. The lack of character development made the supposed romantic tension between the MCs feel underwhelming and even cringeworthy. Numerous efforts have been undertaken to depict the hero as an enigmatic, almost otherworldly figure, yet what have we unearthed in the end? A typical stalkerishly lustful wealthy man! Oh, what a twist!
Still, I didn't lose hope that the last few chapters might get better. With all the mysteries that had been set up, I thought they would be resolved. Yet, I felt utterly let down by the eventual outcome. The resolution proved highly dissatisfying, as it left several loose ends dangling and failed to tie everything together in a clear, satisfactory manner.
I personally don't enjoy books of this kind, where the imaginative elements erode the story's core structure because of overly realistic approach in the ending. If the story had been crafted more cleverly, it could have been an excellent and enjoyable book. Now, I can't help but feel like my time was wasted reading it....more
