Grip is an unforgettable read! It's so honest and raw as it touches sensitive topics like race. Kennedy Ryan does an amazing job writing a love story that conquers social barriers.
"I like the color of smart, the shade of funny, and sexy is my favorite hue."
Bristol has always held a place in her heart for Grip. She loves his passion and creative mind, but doesn't want to start a relationship with him. She fears that once she hands over her heart, she'll never be able to let him go. She's scared that she'll become like her mother and let a man mistreat her.
Grip has always loved Bristol. And now that they're older, he allows Bristol to manage his rising career. His plans to get closer to Bristol work, but he has to break down her impenetrable walls.
Even though they are from two different backgrounds, they have a connection that speaks louder than words. I loved all the characters and the poetry. Even though this is a spin-off of Kennedy Ryan's Soul series, this series can be read separately.

I really enjoyed this modern retelling of The Little Mermaid. It's a unique version with clever twists and touching moments.
The first half of the book is about Laire and Erik's romance as a young couple. Laire is from a small island that is extremely conservative. In her community, it's completely normal to get married and start having children right after high school. But she has big dreams to go into fashion and see the world.
Erik's world flips upside down when he meets a fisherman's daughter. She makes the time at his family's summer home bearable. As the governor's son, his parents have his future mapped out. And he knows that dating Laire will come with disapproval.
The two make their own rules and try to figure out how they could be together. But things get ugly and they just have too many things going against them.
I'm torn about this book. The first half of the book is extremely tiring because it's so long. The couple have lengthy conversations about kissing and sex since Laire is from a place that is so conservation. I don't mind that she's inexperienced, but to me it felt it was dragging a little bit.
But the last half of the book.... I LOVED IT. It brought me to tears, and I had an ugly cry face that lasted to the end. I'm a sucker for second chance romances, and this hit me hard.

"But you will be dead by the time this is done. The timer starts now. The games have just begun."
Madison Montgomery is a rich girl with a tainted reputation because of her mother's actions. Her mom is famous for murdering her father's mistress and then killing herself afterwards. So every time Madison joins a new school, finding friends and forming relationships is beyond difficult.
When her father marries a wealthy woman, Madison gets stuck sharing a mansion with a stepbrother. A sexy stepbrother that is part of The Elite King's Club.
The group is more than trouble. And the leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, has his eyes set on her.
The last book I read by Amo Jones wasn't a hit for me...

Darn it.... The Bandit was so amazing... But the only thing The Knight gave me was disappointment.
Mian hit my nerves a lot. She was immature and bratty, and I wished she had an 'off' switch. The steamy moments were hot, but some of the scenes felt unnecessary. It was like they were just fillers to make the book longer.
I'm also not a big fan of the direction of the storyline. Maybe I'm in the minority, but this could have been better for me.

"We don't get happily ever afters." -"Even monsters breed, my love"
Una and Nero are back! More bloodshed and explosions! I couldn't put this down.
Una is on the run because she doesn't want Nicholai to get his hands on her unborn child. If Nicholai gets her child, the child would become the ultimate weapon.
All she wants to do is to do one good thing in her life, and she wants to give the child to a loving family. A normal life. But her dreams are just dreams. Reality has other plans for her.
Una and Nero are in a war with unfavorable odds. Although there are a lot of exciting scenes, there are also a lot of parts where the characters just wait for Nicholai to make a move. I wish some parts sped up a bit. But even with the waiting, I still loved the action and steamy scenes.

Zack has a painful past, and the only thing on his mind is revenge. But things change when he sees a beautiful girl. As Zack puts his original plans on hold, he ends up stalking Lana and falls in love with her from a distance.
Lana has terrible memories, and her heart and mind is broken. She hasn't fully healed, but when the new neighbor spends time with her, her heart opens up with each day.
The two have an irresistible attraction, but there are some serious secrets that can't be ignored.
The story has a lot of steamy scenes with Zack talking dirty. Although Delude can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading Quake, Quiver, Tied, and Delve beforehand because a lot of the previous characters are mentioned or involved in the story.

Eilish Cassidy has a secret. She has a 4-year-old son, and the father is Bryan Leech. The only other person that knows the identity of the boy's father is Eilish's cousin, Sean.
She refuses to tell Bryan because of his history. A reckless playboy with an issue with alcohol. He doesn't even remember having sex with Eilish because he was so wasted that night.
When Sean helps her get an internship as a physiotherapist for the rugby team, she is forced to see Bryan almost everyday. And the guilt for keeping her son away from his biological father weighs her down.
As a recovering alcoholic, Bryan has been clean for almost 2 years. His crazy life turned into a boring one. So when news about his son come to light, his life has a new purpose.
Bryan and Eilish can't ignore the attraction, but the two have some serious issues. Eilish is scared about a custody battle if things get ugly. And Bryan is scared of women that take advantage of him.
I wish this could be a movie. I loved all the hilarious moments and cute romantic scenes. And this story also had the perfect amount of steaminess.

Harper Denton was always the best performer in class. Her classmates would be left in the dust. But one of her peers was her biggest supporter, and he always pushed her to go farther.
Unfortunately, things between them didn't go far romantically, and they went their separate ways after college.
Harper left for New York, and Ryder stayed in California.
Years later, the two meet again to win over a client, and Harper and Ryder are thrown into a competition that is more than just business.
Ryder is the perfect man. He isn't intimidated by Harper's intelligence and strength. Sweet Rivalry is a quick steamy read that will leave you panting!

I couldn't put this down. Honestly, it's one unforgettable story about true love.
I'll admit it... I was in tears at the end of the book.
I absolutely loved the mystery between the characters. There is also a pinch of an unexplainable element, but the story is not an over the top fantasy. I don't want to ruin this book for anyone, so I'm just going to stop right here. This is a must read for romance lovers!

"Wherever you go, that is my home."
Absolutely beautiful. A perfect retelling of one of the most famous fairy tales. This version doesn't involve talking teapots or enchanted roses, but this retelling is still beyond magical.
Prince Adam isn't a hairy beast with sharp teeth. He is just a man with a painful past. On the outside, he has scars all over his body from being burned. On the inside, he is hiding from civilization and himself. He doesn't trust anyone. If he is a monster, it is because others made him that way.
When Isabelle and her ill father stumbled onto his doorsteps during a blizzard, he tried to turn them away. But she held her head high and refused to be ignored. Eventually, their hearts thawed, and a relationship stronger than any spell was created.
This book isn't for young adults because there are some steamy scenes towards the end. And as the Prince has never been with a woman before, he fantasizes a lot about Isabelle.
I loved the story and the way the prince desired to be a better man all because of Isabelle. There were some moments where it was a little repetitive. For example, the story kept bringing up dust motes flying in the air. There were also some abrupt stops when the two were making out. But overall, I enjoyed every second, and I can't wait to read more by Rachel L. Demeter.

I remember Hyun from the Wicked Bride Games and was surprised to find out that this book was about her since she played such a little part. But since many of those ladies ended up having fatal endings, I guess it makes sense.
The story is about Hyun trying to escape her abusive husband. The husband that her parents sold her to. She can't even call the cops because they are in his pocket.
As she lives her life cautiously, she notices her stalker. This stalker leaves her notes and letters in various places. But instead of feeling fear, she feels protected and safe.
For me, her stalker was.... a stalker. I didn't really find his qualities attractive. But I did like the steamy scenes and suspenseful moments. I also enjoyed the great twist at the end.

When Killian was a young boy, he witnessed his parents being murdered in his childhood home. On that horrific night, one of the murderers left him with a Glasgow smile and told him to be silent.
Ever since then, Killian didn't speak to anyone and only communicated by hand written messages. None of the kids wanted to be near him because of his scar. But Rylee changed his life. She was the only person he'd talk to. She was the only person that had his complete trust.
Killian and Rylee grew up together and became sexually involved, but Killian knew that in order for him and Rylee to have a future, he needed to find his voice. So he leaves her while she was still finishing up high school.
Rylee doesn't hear from Killian for 5 years. She has a new boyfriend that is into competitive fighting, and her heart is finally healing. Her life freezes when she realizes that Killian is another fighter going against her boyfriend.
I really liked this second chance romance. The story was erotic and steamy. The only thing that had me a little disappointed was Killian's method of finding justice. I feel like the 5 years apart was unnecessary and could have all been avoided.

I really liked this erotic story. The steamy scenes captured my attention and Jackson stole my heart.
The only thing that bothered me was that Callie just seemed selfish throughout the entire book. As she was exploring the BDSM world and learning the ropes to be a mistress, she continuously made bad decisions. Decisions she shouldn't be making if she was hoping to win back custody of her son.
Although Please Me felt a little disconnected to Crush Me, I really liked the plot and erotic moments. My favorite parts all involved Jackson. Seriously... I couldn't get enough of him. Phew!
I liked it, but I didn't love it. It's probably my least favorite in the series.

I liked it, but I didn't love it. It's probably my least favorite in the series.
Brie constantly switches back and forth from a strong 'tigress' to a damsel in distress. It was a little annoying.
And sweet Ren has completely changed into some hardened alpha male that will do anything for Brie. He drops most of his college courses to be there for Brie. For me, Ren is nothing special. Just a rich kid mooching off his parents.
I had to force myself to like the characters. The parts I loved involved Baylee, War, and Gabe.
I wonder how long this series is going to be. The ending already sets up another book, which sounds interesting. I love K. Webster's stories and I think she's a fabulous writer. But I'm having a hard time loving this series after Baylee and War. Maybe I just love them too much.

Calliope is a single mother fighting for custody of her son. She can't afford a decent lawyer, so she is at a disadvantage. When a job with good pay falls on her lap, she can't decline the offer because she can finally catch up on her rent and hire a better lawyer.
But there is a price.
Her boss uses her like a toy and dangles her in front of his colleagues.
Bryce Gentry wants to break her.
But Jackson Vale wants to save her.
I'm so hooked, and I can't wait to read the next book. There are scenes that are extremely abusive, and some readers may be turned off by it...but I loved all the dark parts.

As darkness grows, the fate of the world depends on Bron. She has been protected and watched over since she was born. Unfortunately, she's sick and ill. Something is missing, and she won't be able to do any saving until she unlocks her powers.
But time's up. She needs to join the war.
Nick has been one of the stars guarding her. His connection to Bron is strong and unbreakable. He'd do anything for her. There are so many questions surrounding Bron, and he tries to help her without getting too close to her.
I really liked the romance between the characters. It's strong and innocent. Perfect for young adults.
One of the things I didn't like were how things were revealed. Bron would ask numerous questions all the time. Some would get answered, others were ignored. I wish she was able to figure things out herself and have new experiences. I like to feel surprised and shocked, but I didn't get any of those feelings until the end.
Although I received an ARC, I ended up reading the Kindle version because it was free a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately, the book needs some additional editing.

I liked this book more than book 1, but I don't really sense any danger from the war going on. I also loved the innocent romance between the characters. I'm definitely interested in book 3.

I love this series. The characters are all interesting, and the events that occur never bore me. Evelyn's psychological studies and interviews on rapists and murderers keep me glued to the pages. A perfect amount of suspense, mystery, and romance. I can't wait for the next book!

I really enjoyed this story. As Dino is finishing up his sentence, Karen is living a normal life as a single parent. Her life is stable and good. She has a job that makes her happy and a son that brings her joy. But when Dino finally gets out, the problems from before come back harder.
I loved the touching moments about Dino and his son. They truly warmed my heart. But Dino needs to think of a solution if he wants to be with his family.
Dino and Karen try to make it work, but things are always going against them. Throughout the story, you'll see bits and pieces from The Chicago War series. Reading that series isn't required for this duet, but you might enjoy it more because a lot of the other characters are mentioned. You'll also probably have an idea on how Dino solves his problems.
