I really like when authors create a book series in which a group of friends each gets their own book. This is the reason why I keep reading this kind of books, even if one book is not as amazing as the previous one, I just continue reading them.
Under the Lights was slightly disappointing, but then, I am not a huge fan of love triangles and pretty much every book that has it never made it to my favorites. I always like one guy more than the other and then everything just frustrates me. It was the same for this book. I really liked Willa though and I think she was an amazing female lead.

Every book C.J. writes has to be an ok book, but my problem with this one is that it did not go at all the way I hoped it would. Paradise City ended with such a cliffhanger and of course in this one we expect answers, we expect stuff, but nothing is answered. It's almost like a completely new book, like screw you Ballantine, we don't need you anymore even though you're here. I didn't like it. I expected more, I wanted more. It's like this book went the easy route, so it's getting the easy rating - 2 stars is enough.
I was a little afraid to pick this one up as the description says "Pretty Little Liars meets Final Destination". I'm glad I didn't think this book had much in common with PLL because after Get Even by Gretchen McNeil, I don't think I'd be able to handle it. I liked that it had a Final Destination feel, but for me, it was more like a mix between The List by Siobhan Vivian and R.L. Stine's Fear Street books. But nonetheless, it was a thrilling ride from the start, and I'm happy I got to be on it.
Our main character, Kenzie Summerall, was a normal girl, a bit of a nerd with a high passion for a dead language, Latin. She had overprotective parents and she just wanted to get a scholarship so she can get away from them and go to a nice college. But then the "The Hottie List" happens and out of ten girls who made the list, she is placed fifth! She starts getting attention from everyone, and among them is Josh, a guy who she had a crush on. There is also Levi, a guy who she shouldn't like but she feels drawn to him even though everybody is warning her about him. But then, the girls who made the list start dying in unexplainable accidents, and as it seems, they're dying in the order they were on the list. Kenzie has to figure out what is happening because she's fifth and it's almost her turn.
I know this book may seem a little bit of a cliche with a love triangle, but it's really not like that. Yes, there are two guys, but it's clear from the start where it is heading. I even really LIKED the romance even though I don't usually like when there's more than one guy in play. But the book itself was really great! From the moment you start reading They All Fall Down you get sucked into the story, the excitement, the mystery... and I just couldn't PUT THE BOOK DOWN! The book kept me guessing things all the time and I was trying to figure out what is happening and who the villain is. Every now and then we'd get a twist and I'd be back to square one with my guessing. It's what made this book so amazing! The mystery behind the book is just so addicting!
Another thing that needs mentioning is the cover! I realized while I was discussing it with my friend Zemira from YA Fanatic that we both thought it was blood surrounding girls heads, BUT GUYS, IT'S THE RED PLATES!!! How freaking genius is that?? Big props for the cover, Delacorte Press!
All in all, as you can conclude from my review, I really enjoyed the book! I'm not a big fan of mystery novels, but They All Fall Down managed to keep me interested the whole time! So, if you're looking for a quick, fun mystery book, you can't go wrong with They All Fall Down. It's a perfect read for the upcoming Halloween!

Whoa! What did I just read? I think my head is still spinning and trying to comprehend what happened in there. Am I mad? Am I happy? Am I confused? Well, I have no idea! But either way, I'll try to explain it to you.
Endless Knight starts just where Poison Princess left off. We finally get to know what happens after that cruel cliffhanger (Kresley Cole, I'm pointing at you!). Evie has just killed the Alchemist, and they have to decide what are they going to do next right away, because new dangers are lurking from every corner. There are 17 Arcana left who may want to kill them (Evie, Selena, Matthew, Finn & the dead Alchemist excluded), there are awful cannibals & Bagmans who are getting stronger. Will Evie accept the fact that she has to kill every other Arcana in order to survive, or will she fight it?
From the first page, Endless Knight is packed with action. It practically screams, I AM A BOOK OF ACTION! There are awesome battles happening one after the other. There are unexpected twists happening with every page you turn. Evie is more that aware of her powers and she's not afraid to use them. Endless Knight is in many ways different from other sequels. As sequels mostly tend to be calmer, be the bridge between the first and third book, this one is anything but calm. Yes, it did set a great foundation for the book three, but I'm right to say this: I've never read a second book so good.
Do you all remember our dear ol' Jack? Yes, yes? Well romance takes an interesting direction in this book. Now, why do I say interesting? We get the love-triangle... I'm not a fan of love-triangles, and mostly I avoid reading books that feature them, but I didn't mind it in this one actually. I was a big fan of Jack in the first book. I really liked him. He's still the same here, moody guy most of the time, but quite likable. But then came Death. I fell in LOVE with him. My heart ached for him and I cheered for him. I always suspected he must have had some bigger role in all this then just wanting to kill Evie and whispering in her ear. The connection between them felt so much more real, so much more genuine. I really, really, REALLY hope Kresley Cole won't fuck it up.
I have only mentioned here a few things that made me love Endless Knight so much, but there is SO MUCH MORE to it than just the things I mentioned. Trust me, you really don't want to miss this series! From the amazingly unique theme (Tarot Cards killing each other, hello?) to the horrible cliffhangers I secretly love (did you really have to do it again, Cole?!?), The Arcana Chronicles is an amazing series and you should read it!
And I'm not sure how is this possible, but through the whole book I was like Aiden, Seth, no Aiden, no Seth. I Oh, God! What the hell just happened?!?
And I'm not sure how is this possible, but through the whole book I was like Aiden, Seth, no Aiden, no Seth. I still don't know who I like better? How is that even possible? I always like one guy more than the other. JLA, what are you doing to me? ...more

The story wasn't bad per say, but it was quite boring at times, and the love triangle could have been done much better. I sometimes had a feeling that Xander's only role in the book was to be there so there could be "two-love-interests", but mostly book was focused on Ky only. However, it did left me a little bit intrigued about what will happen later in the series so I will be reading Crossed. ...more
