THE BROMANCE BOOK CLUB (Bromance Book Club #1) by LYSSA KAY ADAMS is an engaging, delightful, fun, witty, adorable, lighthearted, romantic, and brisk read that was so darn good and so refreshing to read. I was smitten with these characters, laughed out loud numerous times, and had a permanent smile on my face pretty much the whole time I was reading this story.
LYSSA KAY ADAMS delivers quite the exciting home run here that is so adorably funny and packed full of awesome deliciousness. I thought the storytelling was absolutely brilliant and played right into my heart and the addition of the Bromance Book Club was ingenious. The book club is for men only and get this they read romance novels to boot to get a little bit of insider info on how to woo their significant other back. Loved it!
I was totally taken and smitten with Gavin Scott’s character and this storyline that had me swooning and eagerly flipping those pages as fast as I could. I didn’t necessarily always love Thea’s character and wanted to have a word or two with her but let me tell you I definitely was rooting for a happy ending for them both.
So I said in my short review that my full review would make a little more sense. So here it is trying to make a little more sense.....I tried reading many books while I was going through some of those horrible six (6) hour long gallbladder attacks without much luck with them distracting me from them or let alone even wanting to escape into a book for that matter. Well this is one book that totally helped distract me and made it a little bit easier to get through. Pain or fab story? Well I guess I totally escaped and endured the pain and this book was worthy enough for me to do just that!!! BTW - I had emergency gallbladder surgery so no more pain for me and on my last week of recovery! :)
I read this one with my real-life sister, Brenda and we both absolutely loved and adored it!

Plot: Steamy, fun, delightful, adorable, lighthearted, fast-paced, absorbing, enjoyable and highly entertaining. Ending: A swoon-worthy and huggable ending that left me feeling quite content, happy and satisfied with. Overall: A romantic comedy that is packed full of heart that left me feeling such warmth for this book and these characters. I had so much fun with this extremely engrossing, enjoyable & entertaining book and so looking forward to reading the second book in this series. Would highly recommend!

LISA UNGER delivers a vividly descriptive, atmospheric, intriguing, well-written and irresistible thriller here that I absolutely loved and was thoroughly impressed by. The characters were extremely interesting, compelling, and definitely held my full attention.
The storyline was one that I found myself totally drawn into. I was questioning and pondering the actions and reactions of our characters here to a point where I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat on pins and needles in anticipation of how it was all going to play out. I was fully engaged and invested in this tale and the ending left me with shivers and goosebumps!

THE PASSENGERS by JOHN MARRS is an engrossing, chilling, suspenseful, dark, disturbing, fun, easy, brisk, and highly compulsively readable psychological thriller that was another rapid-raced read for me. I was immediately sucked into the narrative and devoured every single page of this highly entertaining and thrilling book. Once I started reading it I was immediately hooked and so absorbed in the storyline that I finished it in less than a day.
The idea of driverless vehicles is a little bit scary as well as a little bit appealing to me. I’m not exactly sure if I would wholeheartedly be for it or inclined to actually get into one though as I love being a driver and find it quite relaxing. Although I guess I would be able to read if I was just a passenger though. But the idea of my vehicle being hacked would forever be on my mind though so I say nope…..let me drive!
I couldn't stop thinking, holding, smelling, and reading this book. I even did something that I haven't done in quite a while.....I peeked at the ending because I just couldn't handle the suspense anymore or get to the ending fast enough.....and I thought I was reading it pretty darn fast as it was. Luckily my impatience of peeking at the ending didn’t spoil the fun or pacing for me!
JOHN MARRS delivers quite the impressive, clever, creative, exhilarating, thought-provoking, intense and well-written read here that was brilliantly executed. I am absolutely in awe of how creative and ingenious this story was. As each character is introduced and their secrets are revealed it is quite shocking and ratcheted up the intensity level tenfold. I was shocked more than once while reading this one which left me on the edge of my seat in anticipation. This was so darn good!!

THE WOMAN IN THE PARK by TERESA SORKIN and TULLAN HOLMQVIST was such an awesome and unexpected treasure of a book that was so darn entertaining and thrilling to read. I was immediately hooked and obsessed with what I was reading and couldn’t put this book down.
It really consumed my thoughts and I loved how this book tapped into all of my emotions—which even got a little under my skin. At one point I was so riled up with what was happening that I might have overreacted a little bit and forcefully closed my book. But my curiosity was piqued and I just had to read on. Then the next moment reading my jaw dropped and I was totally shocked by the turn of events. I loved that I was in the dark until that shocking and pivotal moment.
TERESA SORKIN and TULLAN HOLMQVIST deliver an extremely entertaining, suspenseful, gripping, baffling, fast-paced and well-written read here that I was constantly battling with as I was questioning the integrity and sanity of our main character here. I absolutely loved how seamlessly and cleverly written this story was and thought the authors did a fabulous job with the delivery.
This was a fantastic little book that packed quite the punch and had me questioning everything that I was reading.

The story was deliciously told from the perspectives of both Caroline and Aidan. And let me tell you I absolutely loved the manipulative and obsessive nature of both of their perspectives. It was extremely fun trying to figure out who the unreliable character was here. Both perspectives fed right into each other perfectly.

THE BOOKISH LIFE OF NINA HILL by ABBI WAXMAN is an engaging, fun, charming, and lighthearted tale that totally captures the beauty and life of a bookworm perfectly. I was immediately taken with this story and found myself totally mesmerized and in awe of how relatable, thoughtful and fantastic this story was. I pretty much had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading this book.
ABBI WAXMAN delivers an interesting, witty, endearing, and beautifully written read here with lovable and quirky characters and a setting that totally captivated and intrigued me. I think reading a book about a bookworm is probably one of the most satisfying, pleasurable, gratifying and validating experiences out there and so relatable to all of us book lovers. I was totally taken and fascinated with Nina Hill’s character and she fully captured my heart. There were so many times I felt a strong kinship to Nina and nodding in agreement to pretty much every aspect of her character and to plenty of scenarios in this book.
I loved reading Nina’s day planner pages and how they were used as chapter breaks which definitely added a little extra flare to the novel for me.

THE YANKEE WIDOW by LINDA LAEL MILLER was an interesting, riveting, compelling, heartfelt, moving and highly entertaining historical fiction novel that immediately grabbed my attention and held taut right to the very end. I was thoroughly impressed and fascinated with this storyline and with MILLER’S storytelling. It has been quite a little while that I have been this entranced and absorbed in a historical fiction novel - I was glued to those pages.
LINDA LAEL MILLER delivers quite the atmospheric, engaging, intriguing, beautifully written and well-plotted read here that I was totally drawn into. There were so many scenes within this book that totally touched and warmed my heart along with moments that twisted my heart to shreds. The characterizations of place and time along with the characters themselves were absolutely wonderful and so vividly descriptive, placing me easily into the heart of this novel. I absolutely loved all the characters in this book and I was definitely emotionally invested in them.
I do love a little romance within my novels and I totally ate this one right up. I was completely besotted with these male characters and couldn’t decide who I thought was the better catch for our lovely main character, Caroline. The romantic touch to this novel definitely helped with softening the mood to this heartfelt period in time. The historical aspect to this novel with the Civil War and this time period totally fascinates me. Also, I must add that this book opens up with quite the strong opening scene and where the story settles a little bit it is definitely one to savour and enjoy! Loved everything about this novel!

The storyline and the chilling setting of this tale immediately drew me in and held taut right to the very end. I found that the storyline was so darn nightmarishly exciting that literally had my heart racing and kept me on the edge of my seat making this one totally immersive read.
TAYLOR ADAMS delivers a rapid-paced, suspenseful, gripping, well-written and perfectly executed read here that was such a vivid portrayal that I thought I was actually watching a thriller movie unfold rather than just reading it. That is pretty good storytelling to be able to totally immerse me in every little scary vivid detail as I am definitely not a visual reader.
This was pretty much the perfect thriller for me and one that totally blew me away. Yup landing into my favourite reads shelf!

THE NIGHT OLIVIA FELL by CHRISTINA MCDONALD was an absolutely fabulous novel that I completely devoured and was totally invested in. It was such a moving, suspenseful, enjoyable, and heartfelt tale that immediately evoked emotion and totally grabbed my attention. It opens up with a nightmarish scene that definitely pulled at my heartstrings and had me sitting on the edge of my seat in anguish and despair for Abi and her love for Olivia as we are pretty much privy to Olivia’s fate right from the very beginning.
CHRISTINA MCDONALD delivers an impressive debut that was character-driven, gripping, fast-paced, intriguing and well-written that was told in two timelines between Abi’s perspective after Olivia’s fall and Olivia’s before the accident.
I absolutely love it when a book produces so much emotion from me and has me pondering and guessing the outcome with all the different possible scenarios. This book for me had it all! An emotionally charged & fascinating storyline, realistic & believable character dynamics, and a well-crafted & intense mystery.
I was so wrapped up and invested in what I was reading that I didn’t even want to figure out or listen to my innervoice. I just let the story guide and take me there.

This was my very first RENEÉ ROSEN book and just let me tell you it just had me asking myself, “Uhm, how come I haven’t read any of this author's books before?” I am definitely going to be checking out her other books, past and future ones that is for sure.
PARK AVENUE SUMMER by RENEÉ ROSEN is a highly entertaining, delightful, captivating, and fascinating historical fiction novel that immediately drew me in and held my interest right to the very end. Lately, with my books, I have been finding myself easily distracted and my thoughts wavering while reading but I’m happy to say that wasn’t the case here. I was fully immersed in this story and found the setting, characters, and storyline to be extremely engrossing and totally enraptured me.
RENEÉ ROSEN delivers an intriguing, well-plotted and well-written read here that captures place and time fabulously placing me right into the heart of this story. There was this perfect balance of fact and fiction that I absolutely loved and found so appealing. I was never too much of a Cosmopolitan reader and still not but there is this attraction, fascination and glamorous appeal to the magazine that I have always found intriguing. So I just knew that I had to read this story and find out how the new editor, Helen Gurley Brown’s vision for her “girls” reshaped the look and feel of women’s publications everywhere. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Helen’s story through the perspective of her fictional secretary, Alice. I thought it was very telling and an effective way to hear about Helen and her story as editor of Cosmopolitan magazine. This was definitely an engaging page-turner and one that had me rooting for the success of the July issue when it went to print and hoping for all of Alice’s dreams to come true. I am especially fond of Epilogues and I have to say that I absolutely loved how this one wrapped up. Perfection!

Title: Intriguing, fun and absolutely loved how the title played so fittingly and wonderfully into storyline. Writing/Prose: Well-written, beautiful, witty, fluid, engaging and readable. Thoroughly enjoyed the narrative, totally entertaining. There were even a few laugh out loud moments and some touching ones too. Plot: Glitzy, fascinating, atmospheric, sexy (without details), entertaining, and highly enjoyable. Ending: A goose bump ending that enveloped me with warmth leaving me with that ever coveted afterglow feeling of satisfaction that I just read a fabulous book. Overall: Wowza! This book gave me all the feels and it’s a huggable one that will stay with me long after closing the cover. Just fabulous and another one added to my Favourite Reads Shelf for 2019. Would highly recommend!

THE SILENT PATIENT by ALEX MICHAELIDES is a dazzling, fascinating, compelling, and an absolutely fabulous psychological thriller novel that was quite the immersive and thrilling book to read. Right from the very beginning I knew that this book was going to be a gripping page-turner for me and I’m happy to say that it totally held my attention right to the very end, making this quite the compulsive and all-consuming read.
ALEX MICHAELIDES delivers an impressive, clever, suspenseful, entertaining and well-written read here with an intriguing and refreshing premise, an intoxicating mystery and irresistible compelling characters. I thought this was an extremely well-crafted thriller where the author seductively guides you to the shocking and twisty conclusion.
This book definitely appealed to this psychological thriller lover even though I wouldn’t necessarily say there is anything new here and you might have your suspicions early on like I did but it was all in the execution here that made this quite the fantastic and exhilarating read. I thought it was so cleverly and originally done. If an author can still make that ending shocking and thrilling to read even if you think you’ve figured out the outcome well then I’d say that is one heck of an accomplishment and perfect read!
This was an absolutely fabulous psychological thriller that quickly made it into my favourite reads shelf making this my very first favourite of 2019!

Title: The title of this book is an extremely fitting representation to storyline that definitely piqued my interest, totally intrigued and fascinated me. Writing/Prose: Well-written, entertaining, compelling, engaging and convincing. I thoroughly enjoyed the writing style and it definitely spoke to me. Plot: Engrossing, refreshing, suspenseful, interesting, complex, fast-paced, and highly entertaining. Ending: A surprising and twist ending that definitely should shock and wow the reader regardless if you’ve figured it out or not. The ending was totally satisfying and did not disappoint!! Overall: A fantastic and riveting read that had me totally absorbed within this story right from the very start, thoroughly enjoying every minute of this debut thriller! Would recommend!

THE FAVORITE DAUGHTER by KAIRA ROUDA was such a wickedly delightful, gripping and immersive tale that totally sucked me right into this hauntingly dark psychological suspense novel. Once I started reading this one it was hard not to get totally wrapped up in Jane’s fascinating, snarky, obsessive and audacious character. Making it quite the deliciously fun, compelling and an all consuming page-turner.
KAIRA ROUDA delivers an intriguing, unique and enthralling story here that was so irresistibly written. I absolutely loved Jane’s voice and thought she was such a fantastic character. And the execution and portrayal of Jane’s character was so darn entertaining and absolutely ingenious, allowing us to fully be in the moment with Jane and this story. Extremely impressive!
I absolutely loved the addition of these little bits of morbid trivia that were included in the storyline in regards to the unusual and freakish ways someone can die. There was one particular way that had me chuckling as a friend actually advised me not to do this because I could possibly really hurt myself. Do not under any circumstances put knives in the dishwasher facing upwards because you know you might trip and fall right into the dishwasher and die. Ever since she told me this story I have always and advise others to always put the cutlery in the dishwasher face down. Thanks Jane and my friend Stella for this piece of advice!

Thoroughly enjoyed the narrative! Plot: Intriguing, perfectly over-the-top, suspenseful, engrossing, fast-paced, enjoyable and extremely entertaining. I was totally sucked right into this storyline! Ending: The perfect ending that left me feeling totally elated and satisfied! Overall: 4.5 Stars! This book was absolutely fabulous and the perfect escape as it was so darn entertaining, fun and amusing to read! Oh and did I mention that it has one of the absolute best psychological characters ever. Kaira Rouda definitely has the knack for writing fabulous characters. Would highly recommend!

SEVEN DAYS by PATRICK SENÉCAL is a gripping, dark, horrific, disturbing and fast-paced read that at times was even a little tough for me to read. I can usually handle quite a bit of explicit content by distancing myself from it so where the graphic scenes did make me pause a few times to catch my breath the storyline itself had me immediately hooked to fully immerse me in this tale.
I do consider this book to be a crime thriller but it does have a high dose of horror added in though. I found that mix of genres to be highly entertaining and an exciting book to read. The intensity level and suspense of this novel increases immensely over the course of what happens over those seven days that totally frightens and intrigues the reader. I definitely needed to know the outcome and come to terms with Dr. Bruno Hamel’s attempt to seek his own retribution and justice for the horrific crime that was inflicted on his daughter.
PATRICK SENÉCAL delivers quite the fascinating, intense, suspenseful and well-written read here with an extremely enthralling storyline. There is an aspect in this novel that haunts Dr. Hamel’s character that I am unable to elaborate on because of spoilers but I will say though that I thoroughly enjoyed the meaning and the message that it all entailed.
This novel definitely invokes some strong opinions that will have you questioning some of the actions of the characters and the subject matter. I thought the author did a great job at allowing us to come to our own opinions of how we felt about the characters and the storyline.

Norma’s Stats: Cover: Definitely a creepy and sinister feeling happening here with this cover which represents the storyline extremely well. Title: The title immediately piqued and grabbed my attention. Writing/Prose: I enjoyed the author’s writing style. Plot: Disturbing, provocative, emotive, thought-provoking, suspenseful, gripping, fast-paced, absorbing and extremely entertaining. Even though this book was a little tough to read it was an excellent one! Ending: I was thoroughly impressed and completely satisfied with the way this story ended. Overall: I thoroughly applaud the author with how the drama of this story all unfolded, making it one heck of a memorable and fantastic page-turner. Would highly recommend with caution though as some of the violence might be a little disturbing to some readers.

Oh my goodness this book definitely deserves my favourite wowza saying and I am absolutely thrilled to say that this is probably one of the best thrillers that I have recently read.

MY LOVELY WIFE by SAMANTHA DOWNING is an engrossing, suspenseful, dark, twisted, and disturbing psychological thriller that was such an irresistible, fun and thrilling book to read. I was immediately sucked in and devoured every single page of this wickedly entertaining book. It was absolutely impossible to put down. Once I started reading this book I was hooked and so absorbed in this storyline that it wasn’t an easy task to pull me away.
SAMANTHA DOWNING delivers quite the impressive debut here that was such a clever, intriguing, tension-filled and well-written read. This was a highly anticipated read for me and one that I absolutely loved!! I am so excited to say that this book quickly went it into my favourite reads shelf.
