I wasn't always sold on Vlad in the other Bromance books, but seeing him with Elena and their chemistry I was hooked. Vlad was different than I first thought. He was actually really sweet and caring and just wanted to make Elena happy and to feel loved. For that reason alone I would read Bromantic again. Seriously 10/10 for all the Vlad and Elena. But what I wouldn't read it again for was the end. This book was well on its way to a solid 4 stars and then the last like 15-ish% killed it for me. It just didn't work for me and felt like it was out of place in the whole series. It might feel weird for me to say I would 100% recommend this, since I am only giving it 3.5 stars, but I would just for Vlad and Elena alone. Just be warned the end was a little hokey and you'll be good to go....more

I was really surprised how much I enjoyed that book since card games like Odyssey are not my thing. But I found the boys and their friends charming and endearing and I actually loved the card aspect. With that said, I didn't find that same love in Out of Character. For some reason I wasn't endeared to this story and these boys. I mean Jasper and Milo were fine and their journey was solid but it didn't have the same draw as book one. It was good, but not something I would remember and go for again. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I'm a HUGE hockey romance fan. I'm not sure when it started but it is one of my favorites. So after getting hooked on Sawyer Bennett's Cold Fury series in 2016, it was easy to move on to the Arizona Vengeance series in 2018. So when Jett was coming out, the 10th in the series, there was no doubt I would read it. But what did surprise me was how much I enjoyed this one. I have always had a love, like relationship with all of these particular hockey players but I ended up really liking Jett, a lot.
Like I mentioned above, Jett is the 10th book in the Arizona Vengeance series. It is the story of...well...Jett, a player on the Vengeance team. Jett has no interest in settling down. He likes to play the field and meet different women. He also has no interest in having any children. But when he meets Emory, the new Social Media manger for the team, and a single mother, Jett is smitten. Now instead of playing the field he just wants Emory and whatever "baggage" she comes with. Being in a relationship is easier than he expected but does Emory feel the same way?
I wasn't sure what to expect when I started to read Jett. He wasn't memorable to me from any of the other books so I didn't figure he would be memorable while carry his own book. But what I found has a guy that was a lot of heart and ready to settle down even though he claimed he wasn't. Seeing him with Emory and her daughter really showed what kind of guy Jett is and endeared me to him. He was completely different than I expected and that was a welcome surprise. Emory was also a character I loved. She had a lot going on but her daughter came first no matter what.
My one complaint for Jett was that every wasn't completely fleshed out because it was on the shorter side of a book. I think if it was a little longer it would have been even better for me. But with that said I really enjoyed this addition to the series and I think fans of hickey romances will too. Definitely pick this one up!...more

I’m not really sure anymore what to say about Trish Doller’s books. It’s no secret that I have been a fan since Trish’s YA days so it is harder and harder to describe why I love everything she writes so much, but I’m going to try with Off the Map because it was AMAZING. Eamon Sullivan is the absolute best character she has written in a long time and I’m kind of obsessed with him. Having been introduced to him in Float Plan I was really excited to learn more about one of the Sullivan siblings and Trish delivered with Eamon. Not to mention how awesome he was with Carla. From the second they met they had a spark that they were unable to deny. They both had things they were working through, Carla with a sick parent and the effect that has on her life, and Eamon just unhappy with his job and life. But as they travel to Anna and Keane’s wedding they got to know each other and also got to know that you don;t have to be unhappy and that it’s okay to settle down if you find the right one. Basically you need to read this book, better yet, this series, if you haven’t! This is a must read for sure....more

This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I have been a fan of Trish Doller and her books since I was introduced to her debut YA in 2012. Since then she has grown so much as a writer and has since taken on the romance world. Her book, Float Plan, was not only loved by me, but by everyone I know that has read it. She touched a lot of hearts with Keane and Anna's story, and she once again has done it with Mason and Rachel in The Suite Spot.
The Suite Spot is about Rachel, Anna's sister, and how stuck she is in her life. She is raising her daughter with her ex and working in a job where she is treated poorly by the guests of the hotel, but it's a job she loves and is great at. But when one guest gets out of control Rachel is left without a job for something she didn't do. On a whim she applies to be a manger for a brewery hotel in Ohio thinking it is time to stand on her own and have a fresh start. Unfortunately the hotel is not at all what she imagined and neither is the owner Mason. But as time passes Rachel not only gets the hotel going but she gets Mason's heart going as well. What once felt like a disaster of a risk is quickly becoming the best thing Rachel has ever done for herself and her daughter. Now she just needs to convince everyone in her life, including Maisie's father, of this.
I seriously loved The Suite Spot with everything I have. I admit I was unsure about Rachel in Float Plan. I found her to be judgey and looked down on Anna and her choices. But getting to know her in this book made me see she wasn't judging her. She was almost jealous of her. Anna was able to go off and sail the world. She was able to leave ands be free. Rachel instead had to have a steady job because she had a child to take care of. The brewery hotel on sleepy little Kelleys Island, Ohio, was Rachel's chance to do something different. To have some freedom. It was awesome seeing her bloom as a character. And Mason, oh sweet Mason. He was dealing with so much pain and grief. he had closed himself off so much that he was a shell of a person. Rachel and Maisie were exactly what he needed to open himself back up to life and love and just plain living.
Teh Suite Spot is a book you will not want to put down once you start it. Rachel and Mason are the perfect pairing and little Maisie is just the cutest little thing. Not to mention you will be wanting a beer while you read. Essentially Trish Doller knows just how to hit my romance loving heart and you need to have both Float Plan and The Suite Spot on your TBR!...more

I became a Sarina Bowen fan because of her hockey books. I loved her series Brooklyn Bruisers and Brooklyn, not to mention her co-written books Him and Us. So when the Brooklyn books got a companion series, The Company, I was really curious to see how my feeling would change. And honestly, they didn't. Just like Sarina's hockey romance, I love her romantic suspense books. I enjoyed Alex and Bayer's story in Moonlighter, and I really enjoyed Gunnar and Posey's in Loverboy.
Loverboy is about Gunnar a former bartender that is now working at The Company as private security. When he is brought back to New York for an assignment he is put in the one place he never expected, a coffee shop run by Posey, his one time crush and the woman he shared a smoking kiss with years ago. Now he is undercover, in her pie shop, as a barista and trying to protect her from a murder that is too close to her for his comfort. But as Posey and Gunnar get closer he is no longer just protecting her from danger. He is protecting both of their hearts.
What I loved about Loverboy was how easily the suspense and the romance were woven together. It really added to the chemistry that was naturally there is Posey and Gunnar and made the reader invested in their safety. And was I ever invested. The was really enjoyable seeing the two of them get to know each other and to open up to one another and let down some of their barriers. All while trying to stay alive and figure out who was out to get Posey and why. It all just worked together.
All in all Loverboy was a really enjoyable read. It hit on all the right notes and made me 100% invested in these two characters. I look forward to reading more books in this world and I think you will too....more

She knows how to write a good hockey player and owner for sure. So I was really excited when I heard about thus Hush Note series. Not only is the series being written by a variety of authors, but it is something I was happy to see Sarina tackle, a rock star romance. And Lies & Lullabies is just that, a rock star romance. It was fun and charming and entertaining.
Lies and Lullabies is the story of Kira and Jonas. The two of them spent a summer together in Kira's small hometown in Maine. Both were there searching for some peace in their lives, for two different reasons, and ended up finding something they didn't expect...each other. Fast forward 5 years. Jonas is the lead singer of the super popular band Hush Notes and Kira is a mother is a small child, one that Jonas doesn't know exists or that he is the father of. Both suddenly in the same place again Kira and Jonas have to deal with the lies they have told each other and the small child that represents the summer neither of them could forget.
Simply put, Lies and Lullabies was a really entertaining read. Kira and Jonas had a lot of chemistry in both flashbacks and in the present. As a reader I could see immediately that they belonged together and I really enjoy seeing that kind of chemistry. They played off of one another really well and I liked that they both recognized their faults. Plus their daughter was just too cute. I personally could have read a whole book about her.
Lies and Lullabies is a quick read that will keep you turning the page. There was one part that I didn't love that I felt wasn't needed for the story, but all in all it was a good start to a new series that should be a fun ride. Definitely take a look at it....more

This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.About a year ago I picked up Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert. At the time it seemed like everyone I know was reading the start of this series and loving it. So I jumped on the bandwagon and read it too. I found it adorable and really charming. So when I saw there would be 2 more I was even more excited. By the time I read Take a Hint, Dani Brown I was in more in love with the Brown sisters and I couldn’t wait to get to the last. I didn’t think I would love any of them as much as I love Dani, but I was wrong. Act Your Age, Eve Brown might now be my favorite of the three sisters. I loved every minute of Eve and Jacob’s story.
Act Your Age, Eve Brown is the story of Eve, the youngest of the Brown sisters and the one that is the most lost in life. She has tried everything to find what will make her happy and make her feel successful but nothing has worked. That is until she has a fight with her family and storms off finding herself at a small town and at a B&B owned by grumpy Jacob. After a series of events lead to Eve hitting Jacob with her car she finds herself cooking at the B&B while helping Jacob as he heals from his injuries. Suddenly Eve is good at something and it is more than just cooking.
Simply put, Act Your Age, Eve Brown was pure joy in a book. I loved the romcom feel of Jacob and Eve’s unconventional relationship. It really really worked for me. But I also loved the serious tones thrown in too. The book was about more than Eve and Jacob being opposites and falling for each other. It was about finding your place in a world you don’t feel like you fit in, finding the thing that makes you feel like you, and I loved that. Seeing what was underneath Eve’s spoiled exterior made me love her all the more. And seeing her and Jacob open up to one another just filled my heart with joy.
It’s hard to say 100% if this was my favorite book of the 3. I mostly want to say yes, but really all can I say with 100% certainty is that I’m sad the tale of the Brown sisters is over. I loved getting to know these three women and the men the ended up loving and I wish there were more of them to look forward to. All I know is that I will be auto buying anything else Hibbert puts out and you should too....more

The story is the perfect slow burn romance that allows the readers and the characters to take their time to know one another and I loved that. Dev and Jia are so completely opposites of one another but they somehow compliment one another and that made the story special. They were also HIGHLY respectful of each other and their beliefs which was also a nice things to see. I do wish there was a little more at the end.
