Taking a chance on an author and a subject that you know little to nothing about, is always a risk and in some cases, its a chance, a risk, worth taking.
As is the case with Five Feet Apart. Beautifully written, heartfelt, emotional, and a read that will stick with you until the very end, Five Feet Apart is a novel that grabs you around the heart and refuses to let go.
So wonderfully told and executed it's a book that I won't be forgetting for a long time to come.
Poignant, emotional, informational, and an all around amazingly done story, Five Feet Apart is one you don't want to miss out on.

After both the killer cliffhanger and heartbreaking ending of book one, I was left anxious to get my hands on book two. I just had to know that that wasn't how it all ended. That that wasn't the end period between so many beloved characters.
Noah and Mara are explosive together, sometimes in the very worst ways possible but no, it couldn't end with them at odds with each other, it just couldn't.
This book. So many feels. So many emotions. So many revelations, betrayals and even more mysteries.
Literally, it was hard to wrap my mind around them sometimes. There was just so much going on in the best way possible.
I don't even know what else to say without giving anything away but I will say this, it's a must read. It's beautifully done. It's mysterious, it's mind blowing and so very much happens and is reveled and exposed that fans of the series will not want to miss out on it. In fact, their only regret will be that book three isn't here already.
Hodkins once again blows us away with the intricately laid out mystery that is Mara, Noah, and gang. The conspiracies, the danger, the gifts, the plans, the destruction. All so cleverly done and executed. I can't wait for more.

Exciting, intense, thrilling, and enthralling are all adjectives I would use in describing exactly how wonderful The Lies We Told is.
It completely took me by surprise and from the very first chapter had me captivated.
With the back and forth of the past and present slowly unfolding, each mystery had me spellbound until I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I read each page not only as fast as I could but as intently as I can remember reading a mystery in a really long time.
With fascination and slight horror of what would happen next and how the two stories merged, I was so transfixed by the stories that I couldn't even decide which one I liked more and as they slowly, meticulously came together, I decided I liked them both equally for all the same horrifying reasons.
Wonderfully put together and executed, The Lies We Told will leave you chilled to the bone by the very last page and completely in awe over its greatness.

White knows how to Karen White is known for her creepy stories that will keep you up at night but I must say she outdid herself in her latest release.
White knows how to write an atmospheric story rich in Charleston history, with ghosts, both benign and malevolent around every spooky dark corner that will constantly keep you both engrossed in the storyline and on edge constantly jumping at small sounds and looking over your shoulder making sure no one is there.
Even though I haven't read the other books in the series, it took me no time at all to sink into the story comfortably without feeling like I was missing huge gaps on background or character development and I love that I was able to do that with such ease.
This story truly was done so well with mysteries unraveling as quickly as the ghosts were appearing. One that had me stopping every now and then simply because I had to turn on more lights and reassure myself that no one was breathing over my shoulder watching me.
A creepy delight that had me turning the pages and left me wanting more from Melanie and her friends and family.

It is so very hard to review perfection isn't it?
I mean where do you even begin, and let's face it, this series has been pretty much that, from the very beginning. And while this has been such a bittersweet experience, it has also been one I won't soon forget.
I adore these characters and while they aren't my babies like they are Ms. Jones, they are still, well, family to me. I love them, I care for them, and I will miss them like crazy.
Reading this book has not only pushed me past my emotional limits but has tested them as well. So many feels.
It started with simply both wanting to devour and savor the experience of it. Heartbreak at knowing this was it for Charley and Reyes and all these amazing characters and yet, also knowing that I had to get through it, because I couldn't wait to see what happened. Couldn't wait to be immersed back into their world.
So with a heart both beating fast to know what would happen and slowly breaking at realizing this was it, I soldiered on and dove straight in, head (and heart) first.
And oh what an experience! I relished it, I devoured it. I soaked it up and in and...it was amazing. Everything I was use to, everything I never thought it could be and everything I knew it could.
The classic Charley humor, the love, the cases, the discoveries, the revelations. The loses, the bemoaning. Just so very much.
I loved it and the ending, while perfect, also left me wanting more. That spin-off series, oh man, it better get here soon.
All in all, that word again, perfection.
Well done Ms. Jones, well done.

Beautifully poignant and beautifully written, As Bright As Heaven deals with one families trials and heartache during a harsh time in American historyBeautifully poignant and beautifully written, As Bright As Heaven deals with one families trials and heartache during a harsh time in American history. One ripe with a war ending and a deadly disease on the cusp of infecting millions and leaving almost everyone affected by both.
Starting in 1918 and spanning the length of 8 years we get to meet the Brights who, from the very first chapter are dealing with a loss no family should have to go through.
This was a beautiful story told through the Bright women, of what it means to survive, move on, and to overcome the devastating heartache of not only death but of loss and despair.
These four women, each with a unique voice, grow and become stronger as the story progresses and you can't help but admire how they tackle everything that stands in their way and their ability to still smile and most of all, love.
One fans of the time period and historical fans in general, don't want to miss out on.

Tucker has a wonderful ability to be able to completely capture you with her stories from the very first page down to the last. They are captivating, thrilling and will leave you with an ending that is always as every bit as satisfying as it was fulfilling.
Her mysteries even more so.
I read a lot of mysteries and because I have for many years now, I've come to be able to predict a lot of what is going to happen in a story and sometimes that can leave the story lacking. But Tucker manages to keep me on my toes and even guessing until the very end and I couldn't love her more for it.
I love a story that is not only a tad bit darker than I expected but also has a romance that is every bit as sweet as I expected and this story has it in ten fold.
There is something about a good cop murder mystery that is so alluring and when I saw the synopsis for this I knew I had to read it and even though it was hard to put this down, I wanted to savor it as well and take it all in and adsorb every last word of it.
Truly another wonderfully told, wonderfully written story that many are going to be captivated by.
