I simply loved the dedication at the beginning to motherhood - it sets the tone of the entire story. A woman can be a mother to a child without giving birth, love knows no boundaries.
The journey that Freddy and Millie take together was just inspiring and to see Millie grown as a young woman will melt your heart.
With sensitive subjects covered we are given moments of small-town humour and adolescent struggles. The story continues with so many rich layers of new families forming and solid friendships.
The menagerie of animals and children and the concept of different families strengthened the message in A Change of Pace of motherhood in all different forms.
These characters, in particular, the trio of Freddy, Newt, and Millie all had battle scars of loss. They all fought in their own way to want to live fulfilling lives and believe in love and second chances.
Newt's love of his daughter knew no bounds and his desire for her to find herself again by trusting others. Jim and Jordan's storyline is another I loved as father and son and what a surprise with Phyllis - loved that curveball.
Finally, the Epilogue gives hope and also wonderful closure for Millie, Newt and Freddy.

At times I was as indecisive as Harper as to who I thought would feed her heart and soul.
Towards the end I admit I probably always wanted Christopher to choose Harper. Their beginning which is told in the Trust Fund (Prologue) probably cemented my love for Christopher.
My most favourite part of this story was the relationship between Harper and her parents . How that affected Harper’s life was really interesting. Then throw in Christopher’s part and the tale is woven with manipulation from her father.
Sutton was dark and dangerous and there are some great erotic moments. His friendship with Christopher and his own personal demons gave another layer to this story.

I loved Gregory in the Dark Legacy Duet and was so happy when I found out he was getting his own story.

Throughout the romantic journey for Grant and Bridget, I at times became emotional and held such anger and frustration. As they faced many hurdles, I felt literally sick with worry and anticipation of what was around the next corner for these two.
It did take me longer to be in Grant’s corner as he was so angry at the world but when you find out all the secrets, well I wanted him to find peace. At times I could not understand how Grant was functioning from the stress and mind games. Chelsea is an awful character manipulating Grant and Isabella.

This is why I love Freya Barker, her characters in their 40's don't muck around, when they see something worth fighting for they grab with both hands and hold on.
The arsonist mystery keeps you wondering, I did have a hunch and then changed my mind but in the end I did guess the bad guy. I really loved Evan and would love to read his story.

So no judgements, I saw this in Kindle unlimited and downloaded thinking if I did not like it would just put it back. Well I devoured It !! Though it started off a bit out there with their first interaction and Emma losing her virginity without question by Dimitri - I soon was hooked with how the alpha brute won the heart of the meek librarian.
I will be reading this story again when I simply need to escape to the romance world....more

I was beside myself to read Danilo's story and I truly loved Sofia. This story connected all the long answered dots after reading the above two books. I was glad the Author gave us a love story and no real Mob danger or drama, these two characters have experienced enough in other books in the series so I simply devoured this romance, a tough road but so worth it.
Can I say I am drying to read Danilo's sisters story, I do hope that is going to happen.
I really love this Mob world the author has created, so many strong Male and Female characters.

Boone was exactly the kind of man she needed, to take her back and stop her taking on all the worlds problems, escpecially her family.
This was an enjoyable part of the Dream Team's story and I simply cannot wait for Hattie, she was a mystery being inserted throughout the story and I am literally dying to know how she is, she is hurting.
Glad there was not too much drama with the police back story and that this was neatly tied up so Ryn and Boone could move forward. Can I also say I loved Boone's parents, made me laugh and smile!...more

I have already pre-ordered Dream Chaser which is Ryn's story who I love. I am so happy to have a new series from this author to love!
Now first off, for those who have read alot of this authors work you will know she loves to really discuss and explain a scene or moment and she can talk about things such as rugs, furniture and kitchen appliances like no other.
This is the first book of hers that has flowed for me without all the extra baggage of descriptions. Dont get me wrong I love those about her but this story did not need it, Mag and Evie was told perfectly and it did not need all the KA fluff. We got action, drama, seduction, romance and humour. Evie was such a cool character and perfect for Mag.
I have a feeling this series could bump my three favourites of hers that I re read endlessly being Colarado Mountain, Dream Man and Magdalene.
Allie makes this story so wonderful with her fighting spirit and never give up. The story is actually paced well and did not at all slow and I did not want to put down.
