All the Frogs inn Manhattan is a modern day story of a woman in a quest to find her prince charming, or probably kissed all the frogs to turn them into a prince. It explores the reality of dating nowadays and hidden truths that we try to hide before it became a relationship.
“They wanted the bad boy that would finally change for them.”

Oh my God because this really needs to be mentioned, the cover is effing beautiful! Rarely I find a book that I just go crazy about and stare at for a couple minutes every time I open my kindle. And I love the title! So cuuuute! Okay, moving on. Lol!
“There is something about doggy style that's more illicit than any other position.”
This book is quirky in some ways, and has loads of cuteness. Definitely hot. Has fun and humorous moments. And just light. No drama and just full on reality. And this is just kind of a refreshing read. Definitely adorable!

It has been awhile since I've read something as like this, a man wanting a bride as a payment for a debt owed to him to exact revenge he thinks he deserved and a woman, barely but is aged beyond experience although a little naiveté, who would do anything to be loved and saved her sister from the horrors of the world.
Raphael Amado is a mysterious and dangerous man with secrets that could destroy the woman he married and yet would still do it for restitution. One thing he is not, is a liar.
Sofia Guardia lost her parents when they were still young and together with her sister, they grew up with her grandfather. They were never really close, more like a comfort that they have someone they can call a family. She spent most of her time in a boarding school.

I love the characters and the slow build of the drama that will unfold. I love that this book isn't too heavy and feels like the flow is easy, no rush or taking it too long. There's just a hint of suspense that will keep you on the edge and a little light-hearted feel good moment to not overwhelm you of the anguish, misery and hate. I think what I love most is that the characters are sensible and there's just something in them that you will love and hate in equal measures.
Natasha Knight gave a story about letting go and setting one's self free. A book full of lust and angst, secrets and betrayals!

What is it about forbidden that makes us crave it even more?
That's the question, isn't it?
So when this book pop up, it wasn't even a question of what I'm going to read next but of how fast I could devour and consume this book.
Damon and Katalina are two characters I've come to like and been intrigued with ever since reading Dishonorable. I think what's more facinating is the dynamics of this two. That something palpable in them, and something that makes you want to explore.
Damon's life revolve around his faith and church and religion. It became the only thing that matters to him, to become a priest. It became his salvation, away from a life that held so many dark memories.
Katalina is a sheltered young girl, but there's a darkness in her that lurks inside. She's naïve and tries to believe the good in everyone.
Theirs is a love of chance, of fate and destiny making a way for them to meet and endure the hardship so that they'd come out strong and together.
At some point I'd definitely thought of Priest, because of the scenes happening in the church. But the difference lies in that Damon is still a deacon, I believe although not mention considering of the break he was given before being ordained into a priest. And that there's a need of rush of adrenaline because of the mafia involved.
Natasha Knight has once again brought something sweet and light into the darkness, and you'd be left in with a nice wrapped-up bow of epilogue.

Always is like falling in love with reading for the first time. Or realizing that my first love was dancing. And that beaches give you serenity and a nostalgic feeling. So calm and soothing, but there's always a storm lurking behind, or that maybe just a wind stirring some trouble and that the effect is making you feel nervous but the anticipation is so good and that something you actually long for. And when it passes, the rainbows show and that feeling of being in love is back. And then it becomes a cycle that you want to give up but you can't because you want to hold on but the emotions keep coming back.
Yeah.

What makes Always something different for me that it captured my heart and soul was that reading how Cross and Catherine grow up. I mean, I'm not much for actually growing through with it, but both grew up in la famiglia and each having faced issues of their own. It showed a side of growing up in the mob that isn't like seeing glimpses of their lives through others or something bloody because the setting of the story is actually where the streets are at peace and that the usual nuances of just being part of the Cosa Nostra.
The pacing of the story was slow and one I didn't mind as it was me falling in love so slowly with both of the characters. Getting to know them, living their lives and their heartaches and their happiness. I cried. I laughed! I smiled. And I swoon so hard I thought my heart was going to burst!
It might be a little YA considering Cross and Catherine's age but there are violence and blood and subjects that wouldn't categorize it as truly YA. Also, it has a bit of innocence and first loves and teenage drama. But it's countered by the businesses that the made men does that balanced it out but not too brutal and not too bloody.
It's most likely a love story like Romeo and Juliet, but is far more romantic and sweeter and that somehow ended hopeful and heartbreaking at the same time.

Bethany-Kris just wowed me and I never expected to love these characters more than I already did. All I need is a damn family tree! lol I cannot wait to read the next book and possibly break my heart more but it is so worth it.

Can I have just a moment to take in the feels for this book? I've read this ages ago and it left me drained of emotional and mental thoughts and I was just left in a state of fog of Catherine + Cross.
I wasn't actually sure why I was so emotional when I started reading this book. It was brought on by the fact that I haven't gotten over with Always: A Legacy Novel and all the pent up emotions that I've thought I've already purged out of my system came roaring back with a vengeance, that even if the setting is years after that heartbreaking ending, and it feels like ages ago since I last read the first book, it still feels like yesterday. Like Cross and Catherine's feelings for each other.
Seriously, though. I cannot say enough words but this book is just perfect! It's everything I wanted and so much more and I cannot wait to read what will happen next to these two amazing characters! This book showed a different side of the mafia, it also showed so many characters that made me so excited that it was like a smorgasbord of happiness and emotions.

This is definitely an emotional read, but do not fret, because all the things la Famiglia are still here. Lovelovelove!

This book has not only made my heart skip a beat, it also made me grip my hands so tight the knuckles are turning white and made me hold my emotions in check lest I turn into an emotional mess and made me fall in love even though there was never romance and most of all, it made me crave the words and the sentences and the paragraphs as though it spoke to me and gripped my soul making my reading journey feel like living in a different world amidst the characters in the story.

This book is definitely relatable. And since I love the dedication so much, of course I will include it in my review:
This book is for every working mother out there. May you be strong. May you be super. May you drink lots of alcohol.
The dedication, aside from being relatable as I've already mentioned, and not only for working mother but also for career women out there, made me remember Bad Moms in some ways, like the scene in the grocery store because that was so fun and the hot dad everyone had a crush was my hero and my inspiration for the ice cream man who drives the ice cream truck. lol
[image] [image]
This book was sweet and cute with a bit of humor, mom problems and her frustrations with a toddler, and little drama. I think mostly it was too cute for words. Samantha was a very likeable charcater and I like how she handles things. Brady, on the other hand had room to grow over the book and it was something worth reading.
“Super, super hot. Responsibility makes my nipples hard these days.”
One down low for this book for me, was that even though I enjoy it too much, was that at the end, it was a little predictable and I probably was looking for more heavy hit and feels. Nevertheless, this was something worth my time.
If you're looking for some hot read, with humor and light drama, then this book is for you. Now, time for some ice cream.

Have you ever read a book that the ending made you smile and your heart swelled with so much emotion? That you wished it never ended but you love a happily-ever-after anyway so you can't really decide if you want more or close the book and bask in the rush of feelings that finishing a good book always give you?
I admit, I was kinda surprised with this book. It was a good kind, of course. I didn't expect the humor but I definitely enjoyed it. It made for a light reading and something you just want to devour. However, never mistake the light element of it to take you away from that raw, all consuming and intense feeling that the characters always feel. Plus, and this is a must, you must always click the youtube link first before you start reading anything. It sets the mood and makes for an enjoyable read.

One thing I always love about Georgia Le Carre's book is that it always felt magical to me. So the start of this book was a surprise because it was of a light banter, a push and pull, sweet flirting, and I felt it was moving too fast I was afraid I was going to be hit and run over.
But, it actually adds to the charm of the book and everything was like a whirlwind of movements and romance.
Dante is such a smooth talker. Typical playboy. Romantic. And I can't help but just fall in love with him. He's also intense and an Alpha lover and I can't help but swoon! Rosa, on the other hand, is looking for someone she can settled with, but thesex appeal that Dante has cannot be denied and so she can't help but give in.
I love that there are twists and the story and that this is so romantic. I will stop here or I might spill the beans. I can't help but feel as if I was in that country and feel the love in the air that croons my heart and soul.
. .[image] [image]
I felt that the eipilogue was rushed though but then I think it was for the best. I still couldn't take my eyes off it. It still is funny and romantic. Ah, this book, it makes my heart flutter and makes me feel like a poet in love.
Definitely something worth reading and perfect for readers who want a light, romantic read and all consuming love.

Tendra have been on a run all her life, never taking roots in a place, never belonging somewhere, never making friends except Ruby and her cat, Brex. Until she met Athan. Athan is loyal to a fault, upholds his duty and will do anything for the good of his people, or vampire.
Tendra and Athan's journey to Gregorie's household was like an adventure with meeting friends along the way, with some bumps and detours and attack from the enemy. It was actually quite enjoying and exhilarating as you learn the world, customs and traditions this book has to give.
The only downside for me was the main characters' constant banter. I think for others, they may find it sexy and hot, but I only find it exhausting. Nevertheless, the book is filled with action-packed adventure and some laughs and humor thrown in the way! Of course, some sexy times and twist and turns that makes the reading quite fun and unpredictable!
I enjoy the world the Blood Guard gave me. It is quite different from the vampire series I've read and gave me something I would look forward to exploring. Aside from Athan and Tendra, I am quite curious and interested in Idris.
P.S. This book ain't boring, but kinda love this meme because of Brex. I'm sorry, I just have to, I love Brex!

And since I love the dedication.

Anywho, going back (trying to calm myself here fyi), I'm quite picky with my mafia. Some stories are mostly same old same old, as is with experience with unknown authors to me, but this is a different case.
Sophie and Emerson lived a life of pressure and expectation from their father to do best and be what he wanted them to be. Sophie however, may have lived the life she want, being in the spotlight and doing something she love while Emerson is stuck with having her passion pushed aside so she could pursue being a lawyer, the dream of her father for her.
However, life took turns that was unexpected and soon, the life and the blood running through their veins have haunt them down and rained terrors and nightmares that you've wished would never touch you.
Angelo lived through hell before he was given a chance at a real family, where he was given a second chance to gain loyalty, family and respect. Not much could faze him, except Emerson who had crack the stoic man.
The torture, the bloodlust, revenge, lies and deceit have givrn me a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Because ohemgee!! I love it i love it i love it!
My heart hurt still but I guess its for the best. Cryptic much? Hehe.
And although I like Angelo, my main man is Giovanni. He's such a pyscho or maybe a sadistic bastard, but argh, I want to see or read some emotions from him! Other than glee and a sadistic high and enjoying and inflicting pain.
There are so much to this story and I'm just right here, with my heart still beating, wanting for more.
The only drawback for me here was some parts that I'm not a fan of. Like a story of a past, because even if i know it is essential in the character development, its juat that I'm not a fan of it. And the other one would be Emerson's passion for dancing. Angelo seeing her dance could perfectly describe her passion for it, but I wanted to feel it. That tingling in my blood and the rush of adrenaline when I get lost in the rythm of the music and just feel. Emerson's experience for me was more think rather than it making me feel.
Over all though, I can't wait to explore more from this author. I love how everything didn't just fall into place and that there was graphic description of everything, the spilled blood and the screams as well me being blindsided by the twist in the story!

“There's only two choices: it's either worth it, or it's not. So I choose blindly. Desperately. I choose Evie. And our love- our fractured, splinted, restored love- is fucking worth it.”
Oh. My. God. I am super in love with this book!
The blurb just held my attention and I was just a goner from there. Both the MCs are going to be neurosurgeons and I assumed their back story would just be that, a back story. But I was blown away!
The book is divided into two parts. And I'm like, this is something new. And so I was intrigued and that feeling of anticipation is building within. The first part gave me a feel that I was reading a YA. I thought it would bore me, or I would hate the immaturity but I was proven wrong. I get to experience a sweet, young innocent love that is idealistic and pure. I felt in love and the feels just tug at my heart.
The second part, the characters have grown and matured into the person they've become. And ohmygad, this is where the time jumps didn't matter. I was prepared for it, and the build up and anticipation from part 1 made it so that the second part transitioned perfectly well and created a whole different kind of conflict. The characters get to mature and grow into the person they become and I feel like I'm their bestfriend for being with them along the journey. And ohemgee, hot!! The perv in me approves! Definitely two thumbs up! hahaha
[image]
But aside from the refreshing way this book was written, my love for it doesn't just end there. The second part was mostly spent in the ER, OR and the Donut Room and it felt so nostalgic for me because it reminded me of my fave Korean Dramas and omo omo~~!! Saranghaeyo! It was like I was watching Doctors, Decendants of the Sun, Yong Pal and Doctor Strangers. And my heart just sings with joy and happiness!
I think that this book was written perfectly with equal parts that even if I could research the procedures and I had to search my mind of what little I know of Thoracic Surgery and emergencies, I didn't because it really didn't matter to me. I love Evie and Lyndon and my heart was happy and heartbroken at the same time. It was left fractured but not broken. And I love every second I spent reading this book.
