Sherer has a wonderful way with words, and I appreciate the fact he doesn't "dumb down" his writing. He also has the fabulous skill of depiction--creating a painting in your mind--although in the first half of the book, it may have been a tad too much for a thriller.
NIGHT BLIND indtroduces us to a flawed but honorable protagonist. One I personally want to follow, and Sherer is on top of the game with his action scenes. The plotting was meticulous. Well done.

I had a hard time getting in to THE HUNGER GAMES, but once I did, I was there. It was the same with CATCHING FIRE. I had a hard time remembering exactly what had happened with the berries and a couple of other references to the previous book, but I still enjoyed this tale. I wish it had been wrapped up a little more without such an obvious cliff-hanger. That feels so contrived to me....more
