Aunque es un libro independiente y no es justo comparar, he disfrutado mucho más de Unforgotten que del anterior de la serie, Forgiven. La historia de amor de Gus y Billy es sorprendentemente dulce y, aunque tiene drama, hay mucho menos del que yo esperaba. Ya venía enamorada de Gus del libro anterior, un chico estupendo, que intenta que la vida sea lo mejor posible y con la menor cantidad de drama posible, que ya ha tenido bastante de eso. Donde su hermana es explosiva y temperamental, Gus es dulce y tranquilo pero no pa'dentrista como Luke. Billy, sin embargo, a priori es un personaje más complicado, arisco y de borderío fácil. Pensaba que esto iba a ser una constante pelea entre un Billy encabronado con el mundo y un Gus que intenta llevarlo hacia la luz, pero, aunque algo de eso hay, es muy breve. La relación entre ambos ya fue especial en su momento y su reencuentro no está lleno de amargura sino de anhelo, de ganas de disfrutarse mutuamente y de dejar caer esas barreras que, cada uno a su modo, ha ido construyendo durante años. Aunque tiene drama y ciertos malentendidos (que ya sabéis que no es algo que disfrute especialmente), el libro se lee de modo fácil y relajado, no es una constante batalla que se transmite al lector, tal y como pasaba en el libro anterior. Lo mejor sin duda es la relación sentimental entre Gus y Billy, y el camino que ambos recorren para poder reconciliar pasado y presente. Creo que le falta algo de pasión o de emoción, algo que haga que esa dulzura y esos sentimientos se te enganchen al corazón, pero puede que esto sea cosa mía, ya conocéis lo arisca que soy

Puede que si llegas a este libro viniendo de la serie Colorado High Country la disfrutes más que yo, que vengo del I-Team y su suspense romántico, algo que aquí no aparece ni por asomo. Se me ha hecho cuesta arriba porque, si bien Pamela Clare sigue siendo una buena escritora, no creo que lo que ocurre aquí (que es apagar un fuego y punto pelota) tenga la suficiente entidad como para aguantar el peso de ser libro. Si fuera relato, todavía, pero libro, nope.

Tenía pinta de ser algo tipo Bridget Jones porque la gente lo pone en la estantería Humor, pero yo no le he visto la gracia por ningún sitio. El libro está bien escrito, a pesar de alternar presente, pasado cercano y pasado lejano (eso se me ha olvidado ponerlo en la reseña en inglés, por cierto), pero tú esperas una historia de amor o de superación o algo y lo que te encuentras es que te cuentan la vida triste de una persona triste a la que le deja el (supuesto) novio perfecto y que quiere recuperarlo a toda costa. Pero esto no es La boda de mi mejor amigo, ya os lo digo, yo no le he visto la gracia por ningún sitio, de hecho me iba poniendo cada vez más triste (aunque termina bien). Hay un maromazo estupendísimo al que vemos muy poco y eso hace que tengas menos interés por la lectura (por mucho que sea chick lit, yo necesito algo de amorcito para respirar). Lo que me ha gustado es la deconstrucción del maravilloso Renzo, que al final no es tan maravilloso como Tansy lo ve. También me ha gustado que ella tenga problemas serios y reales (aunque algunos se solucionen de un modo irreal). En fin, que ha sido una lectura algo decepcionante, aunque creo que la escritora puede crear algo que me guste más, así que estaré pendiente de lo que publique.

He tardado en leerlo pero porque la vida se me ha hecho bola, no por culpa del libro. Es cierto que no me ha enganchado como el anterior pero es que nHe tardado en leerlo pero porque la vida se me ha hecho bola, no por culpa del libro. Es cierto que no me ha enganchado como el anterior pero es que ni los protagonistas ni la historia tienen esa intensidad que tanto me emocionó en ese. Es una contemporánea decente sobre un par de personas que tienen una segunda oportunidad en la vida, lo que pasa es que en el caso de ambos es muy literal, ya que uno es un alcohólico rehabilitado y la otra, una superviviente de un tiroteo. El pasado de ambos les condiciona y está genial ver cómo lo integran en su vida. La autora, además, mete otros temas espinosos pero ahí me parece que ha intentado abarcar demasiado para luego finiquitarlo de un modo un poco regulero. En cualquier caso, creo que Roni Loren siempre merece la pena, aunque no sea un libro espectacular. En la reseña os cuento más!...more

Tal vez demasiadas y eso es lo que me ha hecho el conjunto del libro algo flojo. Desde luego he estado bien entretenida y enganchada porque ocurre de todo, bueno, malo, sentimental, guarreril... No hay descanso. Pero hay demasiado y algunas cosas me parece que están muy poco explotadas, lo que me ha hecho la parte final muy tosca y apresurada. La sensación ha sido la de que esto debería haberse contado en un par de libros y se ha condensado en uno, con lo que parece el meme del dibujo del caballo. Sentimientos encontrados con este libro. Por un lado, me ha conmovido la historia y cómo la narra Kate Clayborn, huyendo de lo fácil y con ese modo de narrar que tanto me gustó en su libro anterior, como llenando las frases de sensibilidad, de delicadeza incluso cuando cuenta cosas desagradables. No tiene sentido lo que digo XD, pero es que no sé expresarlo bien (se admiten sugerencias sobre cursos de escritura XD). El caso es que me gusta mucho el estilo de la narración. Pero lo que cuenta ya es otra cosa. Lo primero es que NO ES ROMÁNTICA, y lo digo porque no les veamos hacer guarreridas (que sí les vemos) sino porque la historia de amor es tremendamente secundaria por mucho que la escritora quiera darle más papel. La trama gira entorno a unas hermanas que buscan a su madre desaparecida y para ello una de ellas contacta con unos periodistas. Pues esa búsqueda es el hilo conductor del libro y la verdadera historia de amor, para mí, la de las hermanas. No es que sea un mal libro y, además, ya sabía que no era romántica, pero está todo teñido de una especie de melancolía que ahora mismo a mí no me hace tirarme al suelo y croquetear....more

Más de lo que muchos libros me dan últimamente. Es una historia de esas de gente normal a la que la vida no le sale bien a la primera pero que tiene una segunda oportunidad. Agradablemente sorprendida con este libro, me lo he pasado bastante bien leyéndolo. No me hizo mucha gracia el punto de partida y al final Lorraine Heath ha conseguido intrigarme y hacer que disfrute con esta historia tan extraña que al final ha sido mucho más bonita de lo que esperaba. La verdad es que parece que la Heath se ha dejado para esta serie todas las cosas locas que se le pasaban por la cabeza y, en este libro, para mí, funcionan. Eso sí, tampoco tiene mucho misterio porque, salvo un secreto, se ve desde el principio todo lo que va a pasar, pero eso no me ha impedido disfrutarlo....more

Y creo que, a pesar de todo esto, una de las cosas que menos me ha convencido ha sido el enamoramiento de la pareja (realmente el de ella hacia él). Tenía muchas ganas de leer este libro y no me ha decepcionado, aunque tampoco será el libro que me lleve a una isla desierta (Shura llegó primero). Si buscas un nadismo, sal corriendo a por otro porque este es duro y a veces no muy agradable de leer en ciertas partes. A cambio te da un maromo salido de los mejores sueños posibles, perfecto y maravilloso por todos los poros de su piel y sus ricitos. Y sporty melofó! Maravilloso. Me ha gustado muchísimo cómo está escrito, rápido, ágil, con muy pocos momentos para aburrirte. Y Kennedy Ryan creo que dota todo de muchísima intensidad, lo que hace mejor la lectura. Hay cosillas que me han convencido menos, como que la historia de amor se me queda corta, pero ha merecido mucho la pena y seguiré con la serie....more
4-4'5 estrellitas, por ahí anda la cosa. Fantástico descubrimiento el que nos ha hecho Elsa (ojalá todas tuviérais una Elsa en vuestra vida que os recomendara maravillosidades XD). Un sporty melofó macho alfa que se quiere mucho y que tiene pinta de gilipollas pero que no lo es, más bien al contrario, es un hombretón tienno y achuchable bajo su musculosa fachada (jugador de hockey, Mari!), un maromo fabuloso que respeta a su churri, sus necesidades y sus cositas sin dejar de meterle de todo menos miedo en cuanto se puede. Ella también es fantástica pero para mí tira más una boa que una moza, ya lo sabéis XD. Es un enemies to lovers muy entretenido pero con chicha, ya que se tratan problema de autoestima y cositas mentales en las que muchas nos podemos ver reflejadas. Es una historia sexy, divertida, dulce, sentimental y cuqui que, a pesar de ser un poco tocho, está escrita de un modo que te impide dejar de leer. Todo se cuenta de modo muy natural y, aunque no deja de ser una contemporánea de las que se llevan, tiene un punto de profundidad que la hace destacar y no tiene personajes tontísimos, algo que he agradecido muchísimo. Tiene sus cositas, algunas cosas se alargan mucho para mi gusto y otras son un poco ñoñas, pero en general es una historia que me ha enamorado con unos personajes que no quería dejar....more

Entre 3 y 3'5 estrellitas. Bastante entretenido, la verdad, con una pareja protagonista que he adorado, juntos y separados. Se lee muy bien, es ágil, divertido, con diálogos de los que me gustan a mí, fresquitos y que no quieres que acaben. Tiene su poquito de trauma, su poquito de amor fraternal, su poquito de guarrerismo, su poquito de amor... y un final que me ha hecho bajarle nota porque tira por el suelo todo lo que se ha construido previamente. No es que el libro acabe mal, es que parece que a la autora no le ha interesado acabarlo y se lo ha dejado escribir a su niña de cinco años. Pueril y simplón a más no poder, ese final hace que el libro pierda mucho lustre (y que me haya cabreado)....more

No es que esta novela me haya hecho pensar, obviamente, pero sí tiene una parte que me ha resultado muy molesta de leer y que me ha estropeado toda la lectura. En esta novela hay dos tramas, una amorosa, con una pareja que se lleva viendo todos los veranos desde que eran pequeños pero que nunca se han atrevido a cruzar dos palabras, y otra fraternoamistosa donde tres chicas se dedican a manejar la vida amorosa de la protagonista basándose en un contrato chorra que hicieron de adolescentes. Vamos a ver, que ya tenéis canas en el xirri! No os da vergüenza hacer esas mierdas? Se supone que esa parte de graciosa y sirve de excusa para que los protagonistas se acerquen pero ha sido algo extremadamente molesto que casi me hace abandonar la lectura. Si hay una cosa que aprecio de los pocos libros que he leído de esta escritora es que sus diálogos suenan muy naturales y en general son lecturas muy cómodas pero esta casi me ha parecido el ascenso al Everest. Menos mal que el maromo es FA-BU-LO-SO y con eso me quedo. Bueno, y con los meneos que se meten, que la Quinn nos los cuenta y eso es BIEN....more

Si queréis saber cómo es eso de leer un trío con dos maromos adorafollables y sin ninguna complicación (porque es un relato tan breve que no da para más), podéis probar con este. Normalito. De la Heath espero siempre mucho y, aunque este no ha sido gran cosa, tampoco ha sido un espanto. Está bien escrito, se lee sin problemas (aunque sin enganche) y tiene unos personajes a los que coges cariño, especialmente a Rexton, el protagonista, que es maravillosísimo. Lo que pasa es que tampoco cuenta una historia que emocione y ella misma crea una tensión que a mitad del libro se carga de un plumazo. Decente pero olvidable....more
