The biggest problem for me was that this short felt like it was two separate stories put together, one part for creating discomfort and actually deserve the tag "dark", and the other to create sympathy.
The prose is very eloquent and almost poetic, however because of that I felt very detached from this story and therefore it wasn't erotic at all.
