College: a time to grow and make mistakes, and maybe, just maybe, meet The One.
Xander wants and yet doesn't want his friend Liam. When Liam confesses his attraction, Xander gets a little crazy and ends up hurting both Lian and himself. What follows is a lot of internal dialogue, but it’s all good, especially when one has good friends to point out the error of your ways.
ODP contained well written scenes of intimacy. It held as stand alone, one does not need to have read book one (M/F). Great use of Safe, Sane, and Consensual, although the one scene where alcohol was involved could have been nipped earlier, but it was realistic as it stood.
Reviewer’s note: some minor grammatical errors and the formatting was wonky.

4.5 stars from me. This is my third book from Mr. Rose and while I loved all of them, this was my least favorite. All those wonderful kinks lined up, which, I have to say, make for one heck of a great "fantasy". I loved the beginning from the whole kidnapping, through the playful banter in bed, and the getting-to-know-you phase. I fell out of love in the last third, because there is a time gap where I really wanted to know what was going on in both men's lives, but was left hanging with nothing, until BAM! back together for a sweet HEA.
Still you can't fault the wonderful writing style and the creativeness of the scenerios Mr. Rose subjects his characters to. He had me at the opening Dedication and kept me entertained right through to the end....more

Yeah, the writing was very good, but reviews painting these men as picture perfect also rang true.
I was interested in reading this because one promoter had written it was truthful in its BDSM aspects, however in retrospect of all other BDSM books, many written by those who engage in such play, I was disheartened over the ignorance of limits known, whether spoken or not.
Both men got what they wanted in the end, and maybe a HFN....more

The growing up progression is sweet and really binds these two men together before they even get together. And the prompt photo...sigh...

A stunning twist of mythology: the Minotaur of the Labyrinth and those sent to their deaths at his hand.
I'll start by saying that although I have a love of mythology, I'm really not fluent in the tales. Instead of researching the original tale, I dove into this story open-minded and anxious to see what the author would do with the myth. I'll not recount the book, it would give too much away, what I will say is that I really enjoyed this short story.
There is a strong theme of non-consensual sex, let that be your first warning. Barring that issue, and the general squirming in your seat at the abuse Kleon endures (from the Minotaur) in his path to vengeance, one cannot help but cheer him on. Silently, I beseeched him to draw strength and see his plot through. Then the twist, and OH! what a twist. Plus the final scene... it was perfect, with just a touch of emotional meltdown on my part.
