Leigh is a wonderful, relatable heroine. How I empathized with her. With the jaded loneliness it is to be single when all your friends are coupled up. Her dry humor and quiet cynicism were a gem. I also loved her sass and banter in the book world. I lived for her next encounter with Killian. And, oh, boy: Killian!
He was a dream literally the cocky billionaire side of him, his banter, his teasing. But the real him was even more…. All those moments when they almost kissed but didn’t had me on tenterhooks for the entire book… the tension was so high…. I loved their relationship the arc from fantasy enemies to lovers to real friends to lovers. He was smoldering as a cowboy and toe-curlingly amazing also as a regular guy.
All the situations they found themselves in had me laughing out loud.
I think this is honestly my favorite book I’ve read this year if not ever.
All the little references to tropes and booktok and inside jokes for us book lovers were just the cherry on this perfect book cake.

John is the perfect book boyfriend and Marissa the best friend we all want. I honestly loved them both. Yeah? John screwed up in the past, but he more than makes up for it in the present. And he’s a single dad, swoon!
Marissa is fierce and vulnerable at the same time, I just loved her. And it’s okay that she took her time to open herself up to love again…
The banter was perfection…
The whole Thanksgiving meal scene had me bent over laughing… and I kept chuckling from the beginning to the very end of the book…
I also loved getting more insights into Blake and Gabriel’s story from the previous book in the series, Not in a Billion Years—how they get back together and the surprise at the end of the previous book. Also the taco restaurant scene was another one of my favorites…

The meet cute in this novel is absolute perfection.
I loved how Lana is a super-smart woman (and books and cats lover) ... And Christian honestly made me swoon... I can be swept up in a Hollywood romance any day, who hasn't dreamt of meeting their celebrity crush in a broom closet? Well, maybe not a broom closet exactly but an elevator or a Beverly Hills hotel for sure. And the quiet, witty humor had me chuckle all along as I was swooning...

I loved the big, meddling families. The Christmas setting and adorable small town vibe. And the chocolate factory.
Oh my gosh it's like this book took all my favorite things (friends to lovers, fake engagement, small town romance, chocolate, hilarious mishaps) and mixed it all into a spectacularly hilarious romcom!...more

Lucas and Vivian begin to fight from the moment they meet, admittedly because Lucas got sugar-deprived and became a little cranky, but he was having a really crappy day. He was the perfect hero, gorgeous, kind, attentive, a little broody sometimes, but with a sense of humor and just, wow, the perfect book boyfriend, really. Vivian is a single mom who has got deep scars in her heart but that is still open to searching for love--except maybe in the office next door. She's a fierce mother and a badass woman and I loved her toughness. She has a bit of a shell, but no woman in her right mind could resist Dr. Lucas Keller's many charms, especially not after he surprise kisses her in the elevator. Gosh, was I fanning myself after that scene!!! The blind date each go on were hands-down hilarious, and the one they get to share was epic!!! Tegan, Vivian's daughter, was an amazing supporting characters with all the contradictions that distinguish a teenage girl. And the epilog, don't even get me started on that. It was the most refreshing, original new take on an epilog I ever read. Narrated in the POV of Vivian's cat and Luke's dog, it ties up nicely all the open points in the book, is just as hilarious, and I absolutely recommend getting it from the author's newsletter.

There was humor, action, tension, romance... this story really had it all!
I loved how feisty Winter was, how she didn't take any nonsense from Logan. And Logan was my kind of brooding, gorgeous hero. And best of all, his sidekick and best friend was just as charming and will be the leading man in the next novel! I can't wait to get my reading paws on that!!

The first meet-no-so-cute was hands-down hilarious, when she puts him on the witness stand for a mock trial (you can tell I watch Suits) and grills him! LOL, Priceless.

Book 1 This book has cheating and I loved it. I'm starting by saying this because I read some maddening reviews saying: "I like this story, but there was cheating, so I'm giving it one star because I don't approve of cheating." O.o For me this is like saying you give a mystery you enjoyed one star because there was a murder and you don't approve murders. Hello? Reading and enjoying a story about cheating has nothing to do with your moral standing on the subject... it's either a good story or not. Sorry for the rant, it was just to say that if cheating is a pet peeve of yours skip this book, but don't give it one star because of it.
That said... The confusion and turmoil that came from a love triangle with "the best friend" were so real... Already a love triangle is complicated, but when you add a friendship of decades in the mix things get explosive... I loved how we got all the prospectives in the book with different POVs.
Yeah, Tyler was immature and too indecisive. And Rose made her fair share of mistakes, but by the end of the book I couldn't help liking her and the growth she experienced...
Also the story totally didn't end how you'd expect.
And now to the best part: Ethan! Yet another dishy book boyfriend.... He was dashing, hot, sexy, and just the right amount of alpha!
Book 2
A friends to lovers love triangle with no cheating. This book was everything! The characters and emotions felt so real... I loved following the story from both Jack and Alice's POV. Alice has had feelings for Jack since freshman year, but she's been stuck in the friend zone ever since. And if you've ever been "in the zone" you know how hard it is to watch your friend date... and how easy you wish each and every one of his reationships won't last... This is Alice for the past two years! But now she's just been dumped and Tyler had just dumped his latest fling so she's determined to not let another day go by without confessing her feelings to Jack. The only problem is she doesn't realize how scarred Jack is from another friendship-turned-relationship gone wrong... and so a series of epic misunderstandings begins... And they all felt very real... My eyes were glued to the pages I had to know what would happen next! The story kept evolving with so many twists and plot turns I hadn't seen coming, but the ending was SO satisfying... Also halfway through the new leading love story for the next book in the series is introduced and I must say I can't wait to read it.
I found this book in the friends to lovers lists and since I already liked the author I gave it a try. Seeing the author's review I found out you can get it for free via the author's newsletter signing up here: http://www.camillaisley.com/freebie
Book 3
With this book I most definitely fell in love with David... he's the ultimate bad-boy-not-so-bad-underneath.... The masquerade I hadn't seen coming and how I wish I could turn into a book character and be Haley for that night!!
The ending had me screaming, "Nooooo, noooooo, noooooooooooo...." but my heart is still beating only because I know there's another book and I can't wait ...
On the female side, Madison is just too adorable ... I hope something good will come her way.
I love how strong the friendships in this book are, and I also love that is a fresh New Adult novel with no previously-abused-characters/alcohol/drugs/tattooed-fighter-types etc... and all the depressing tropes that seem to appear in most books in the genre. This one is all about love and friendship...
Book 4
Oh, how i loved this book. First of all it opens with my favorite character: DAVID! Yeas! Even if he's suffering... I loved him in every state, when he was trying to be douche because he was hurt, when he got mad, when he got impossibly gentle or impossibly hot... He's the perfect example of a three-dimensional character with flaws that make you love him only more...
Now, that scene by the fireplace. OMG, I was melting! This is a squeaky clean romance, but the way the author manages to convey such passion without revealing much... gosh it was all tension and emotions... I just couldn't put this book down!
I loved how all the other stories wrapped up, too. We get glimpses of characters from previous books and it was great to follow Jack and Alice's evolving relationship, you know, to see a couple beyond the veil of the moment they get together...
