New book by Roni Loren? Yes, please! I had no doubt that this new series was going to be everything I’ve come to expect from her. It had me from the first line.
I really enjoyed how the author takes the time to tell us the story of how Marin and Donovan met in college and how their relationship developed. The parts told during that time have a different feel, that almost feels new adult in the way it’s written, versus the adult parts now nine years later. It was interesting that I could see a change in narration based on the maturity level of the characters. This is only for a few chapters and I think it sets up their romance and their chemistry perfectly to give the basis of their explosive relationship almost from the start when they reconnect.
I’m always a sucker for second chance at love stories, and there is some talk about finding The One and being fated to someone not being possible because as sex therapists they’ve become a bit jaded. And on the other than you have the true scenario of Donovan being that fated one true and only love for Marin from the very start. That part was beautiful.
I absolutely adored both main characters, and even the side characters! Donovan being the tortured hero that needs control, loves to role play and talk dirty trying to corrupt prim and proper Marin was a lot of fun to watch. They complemented each other perfectly. She wanted to explore, he wanted to teach her. Almost nothing is off limits and there are some HAWT sex scenes that I will forever remember (and all my UTC girls will as well because I kept texting them about it). There may or may not have been some whimpering involved.
This book has left me excited to see where this series goes. It has just enough of the technical aspect of the subject matter being at a therapy center, and in this case focusing on sex therapy. But that didn’t overwhelm the storyline, the romance and the of course, the sex.
OFF THE CLOCK is a slow sensual seduction. Guaranteed to not let you go until you finish that last page. Ms. Loren has a way of telling a story that sucks you in and has you turning the pages no matter what.
There is a short story at the end of this book as well and I was so happy to see it featuring characters that we met in the book as patients (it was a welcome bonus!) I’m dying for the next one, can’t wait to explore all the characters at The Grove.
Favorite quotes:
“I wouldn’t mind being used by you, Marin.”
“I could make you shameless, Rush.”
“Any way I want. That’s how I’m going to fuck you, Rush.”
“Shameless. Who could’ve imagined?” “You made me that way.”...more

I will probably just start sounding like a broken record when it comes to this series, but I don’t really care. I absolutely LOVE it! Roni Loren knows exactly what she needs to give fans and Pike’s book is proof of that. We’ve all been dying to read more about the hot rocker we met in NOT UNTIL YOU and let me tell you…. the wait is so worth it.
CALL ON ME is different in some aspects from the other books in this series. There’s less focus on BDSM and The Ranch and more focus on just this great relationship between Pike and Oakley. Oakley used to be in a pop group but that left a bad taste in her mouth and she’s been living hiding from that truth ever since she got out. All she’s been focusing on is doing her best at providing for her autistic daughter. And that has meant taking on two jobs. During the day she works at a center for under privileged children and at night she’s a phone sex operator. Everything was fine until Pike walked through the door of her day job and was assigned to work with her on a music project for the kids.
Sparks fly, and I self-combusted. CALL ON ME should come with the warning of “be careful while handling because it will burn your fingers off!” Every time I finish a book in this series I say it’s my favorite and the hottest. Well it is! Again! :) Pike and Oakley have the best chemistry I’ve read in a while. But then again, Ms. Loren is always good at delivering that. When I finished reading this book I had completely forgotten everything else I had read for months before. You ask me what to recommend and it would be this.
But I don’t want to go on and on about how hot this is because there’s so much more to this story than just that! This book was fun and playful but also emotional. The balance of it all was key in delivering this well rounded and completely satisfying book. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Love rock star romances? Read this. Love deep stories with a lot of heart? Read this. Want a book that will leave you panting? Read this. Bottom line….READ THIS! It’s that good!...more

I know everyone is completely in love with Ronin, and yes I love him too. But I was ready for a change and beyond excited to be reading about Knox. Sexy, alpha goodness Knox. I was so intrigued about how Ms. James would handle his relationship with Shiori, since we’ve known she likes to play on the dominant side. And I’m here to tell you that Lorelei James ROCKED it!
UNRAVELED is without a doubt my absolute favorite in The Mastered Series…Knox it’s where it’s at! I love that man. He’s such a powerful, alpha male and he gives himself completely to Shiori. He cares for her. He wants to protect her. Deacon and all the others will have a hard time taking my Knox’s place.
Chemistry sizzles on and off the sheets between these two. From their work performance to the bedroom (or other places). The constant push and pull for control makes for a fun book because Shiori and Knox definitely kept me on my toes. Kept me wanting more.
The emotional struggles they both had to overcome were the perfect touch to add substantial obstacles in their path to an HEA.
I know some people may be concerned about the fact that the hero is in the submissive position, but don’t let this fool you. Knox is all alpha, all male, and everything we crave to read about. His submission just gives him more power. Lorelei James has managed to go into the world of BDSM in a new way, a new angle than what most authors tend to explore. And it comes across really beautiful. The connection between the characters in these moments goes beyond sex and Ms. James transfers that emotion to the reader.
I will stay here basking in the afterglow of reading this book. And then a little while later I’ll start getting excited about the next books. I can’t wait for Deacon’s book! Bring it on!

I absolutely LOVE revisiting couples that we've already fallen in love with in a series. FOREVER STARTS TONIGHT brings us back to Jace, Evan and Andre and shows that a permanent triad has its own special set of complications. And that it will take commitment and effort to make things work. Their road to a HEA is harder than most couples because of juggling the inner dynamics of their triad, as well as what others perceive of their relationship.
Feelings can be a touchy thing. This book goes to show you that. And maybe what you always assumed you didn't want or need becomes a priority. As you may be aware, I'm a fan of the series, and have come to care for these characters! It was refreshing to see them be strong through the struggles of life. There are many important issues at hand in this book, and even when facing uncertainty they pulled through and didn't stray. If there's something I hate is unnecessary drama and lack of communication. Ms. Loren managed to share this story without falling into the easy traps where this could've happened.
I feel that after FOREVER STARTS TONIGHT there is a true happily ever after in their future.
These three are still one of my faves. Well, I do love them all. I'm somewhat of a Roni Loren addict. But stories like this is exactly why. They go past being just a hot way to spend the time. They move you, connect with you. And she always does right by her characters. Another job very well done with this one!
I started reading NOT UNTIL YOU back when it released as a serial. And distracted reader that I am, and as much as I love the author, the series and this story. I didn’t finish reading all the parts. *Hangs head in shame* And what a shame that was, because I was missing the most explosive and emotional parts of the story!
NOT UNTIL YOU is the story of Cela and Ian. Cela is actually the sister of one of our already loved males in the series, Andre Medina. Her family has certain expectations of her and one of them is that she’ll return home after graduation. She’s young and innocent. She’s the classic good girl that has lived under her family’s thumb for far too long. And maybe she wants to live just a little before going back to her regulated lifestyle.
Enter Ian Foster, and his roommate Pike, who help rid Cela of inhibitions and show her she can have a great time being just a little bad. But it’s Ian that captivates her heart, as well as mine. Suit wearing, alpha male, that exudes dominance and power, while being serious and brooding. Hits all the marks to probably make your next book boyfriend. He’s the one that you want to save. A tortured man that you’re willing to go past your limits to please. And that is exactly what Cela does.
My favorite thing about their story was how polar opposites they were, but how well they complimented each other. Like pieces of a puzzle. They were perfect to drag out things from the other and help heal those old wounds.
As always with the books in this story, not only is NOT UNTIL YOU an erotic story, but it’s emotional. We go through the ups and down with both Ian and Cela. Their personal struggles as well as their relationship ones. This was such a well rounded, great story that you won’t be able to not fall for these two. Roni Loren gives her characters so much depth that I am helpless but to want to peel back all those layers. And I loved what I found under these!
This edition has a bonus story! I was so very pleased with SO INTO YOU because, even though it’s short, it managed to capture my interest and was very enjoyable! This is about Bret, Foster’s friend, private investigator and Dominatrix. And her partner Malone, alpha male and willing to explore his submissive side to be with her. Can’t wait to see more of these in the future!

This was a complete surprise for me. I stumbled across this book and I was immediately sold on the cover and the blurb. But I admit I was a bit scared that I would get another "rich boy" (wasn't sure if he was a billionaire) book. At the moment, I've had an overload of those.
REASONABLE DOUBT is a bit far-fetched but highly entertaining story. Once I started, I really couldn't help but be completely involved in the story and want to see it through 'til the end. And yes, knowing this is sort of considered a serial being that the story continues over a series of novellas, I was expecting that end to come soon. Even so, it felt as if it had a good length.
But lets get back to the story. Andrew is a complete jerk. Emotionally unavailable. Completely drool-worthy. Successful, hot and with numerous "assets". He likes sex and he gets it often, never from the same woman twice. He finds his dates online and never shares personal information with them, nor any more time than needed to find his release. Until he develops a friendship, his one and only, with a mysterious woman. As much as he wants to meet her, she doesn't agree.
I'm not usually a fan of jerks, although at times they have some appeal. And for some reason, Andrew aka Thoreau had that appeal. Even though at time my jaw would hit the floor about some of the things he would say, but I can see how someone would keep coming back for more! LOL
Aubrey started out very likeable for me but when things changed between them I feel like her confidence faltered just a bit. I hope she doesn't turn into a typical young heroine. I like her being feisty and I hope she stays like that! One thing is for sure, these two have great chemistry!
I hope that the next installment in this serial brings the same appeal for me and I can't wait for more Andrew....more

AFTERSHOCK concludes the story of Gia and Jax. As this is part of the COSMO RED HOT READS, I think it fits perfectly with the “fun and fearless female” theme. Gia is a strong heroine for sure and she showed us some more of that in this part. I have to admit that she handled some of the things that Jax threw her way better than I would’ve.
I really enjoyed the first part of this story and thought the hero was beyond hot. In AFTERSHOCK though, he comes across as a bit of a jerk and a dominant ass (and not in the way you might want him to be). Yes, he’s still extremely hot (panty-melting hot!!!) but I literally wanted to bash his head against the wall sometimes.
As much as this part had a lot of issues thrown in that built up the emotions, the resolution felt rushed. I wanted to see Jax beg and grovel a bit more. He could’ve done a better job at that. An easy forgiveness and easy HEA sometimes can leave me just unsatisfied and I think that’s a bit of what happened with this one for me. Which I’m bummed about because I really liked these characters and the general storyline the author was going for!
I would definitely recommend, if you haven’t picked up the “parts” of this story, pick up the full length novel. I do believe that by having this release in two parts and with so much time apart it took something away from the continuity of the story. As a reader, it was hard to remember some details and I was a bit confused at times about what was going on until it later on clicked. I think if you read it all in one sitting you might find you enjoy it more and some things might even bother you less.
The hot one night stand with a stranger, no names exchanged, that rocked your world can come to haunt you. Cassie is an attorney, running her own practice after her husband passed away a few years ago. She’s poured herself into work and hasn’t really moved on with the rest of her life. She meets a hot stranger, from out of town, at a bar and decides to be a different person that night and enjoy herself. Exposing desires she had long suppressed.
But just when she thought that was the last she would see of the hunky stranger, he walks in her office the next morning. Ready to work. While Cassie doesn’t think they can have any type of relationship, even just sexual for a week, Brad is determined to have her again.
The story was a short and enjoyable read. Sexy for sure. But compared to the authors’ previous work I’ve read, I want to say it was lacking something. Maybe it was just that even though Cassie and Brad are hot, the chemistry was not as strong. Or just that being a short story, I felt the story was missing a bit more roots especially with where the story ended.
I will still read this author’s work. She always makes for a sexy read.

CROSSING THE LINE might be by far my favorite Cosmo Red Hot Read. It was unexpected in many ways. And yes, that usually happens when you don’t even take a look at the blurb. I just saw “Ohhh shiny new Megan Hart story! Must read now!
As always this was unconventional, and it also features a strong heroine, daring in ways that might shock some people. But unafraid to test the limits and the lines to see if she can get what she wants.
Caitlyn has been working at a celebrity PR firm for just a short while. And that whole time she’s had the hots for the owner of the firm, Jamison. When the opportunity comes for her to work closely with her sexy boss, she takes full advantage of it and tries to cross lines. Work lines and sexual lines. Caitlyn likes control, and Jamison might just realize that he likes to give it up only when it comes to sex.
I love seeing a heroine taking control. Caitlyn is not necessarily experienced but she’s confident. And that in and of itself is attractive. She demands attention. And that was beyond sexy! Jamison on the other hand is all about alpha and dominant, and it was so enthralling to see him coming to his knees to fulfill Caitlyn’s every desire.
CROSSING THE LINES is sizzling hot! A quick read that will warm you up. It’s fun, sexy and fearless. Just what I was expecting in a Cosmo Red Hot Read. Megan Hart hit it perfectly!
This series is becoming a bit of a tease. Just when things start working out for me and I’m getting into the story, the end of the “serial” part comes. This is also difficult to review and rate as these “parts” are not extremely long. And I do think this book would feel different had it been released as a full novel.
That being said, this part brings us a bit of that push and pull that Simone and Elliott keep going through. Just when I think Elliott has decided to admit what he wants is exactly what Simone is offering, he gets cold feet about it and backs up.
These are both conflicted characters that have a lot of their own issues. Simone, even though she’s so strong on the outside, is delicate and easy to hurt on the inside. Seeking love and acceptance, to feel safe. And when the ground she’s standing on starts to shake, she goes back to what she knows can feel safe. I wasn’t necessarily a fan of that in this part.
I think there are good things to come from these two from here and as their pasts coming to the light.
As we slowly get to know the characters better in this second installment of the Every Part of You serial, I’m finding that I understand better some of the things I was questioning in the first part. Simone knows very well what she wants and goes after it, in a way, unapologetically. Elliott on the other hand is running away from who he is. And I can’t wait to figure out the reason why.
Being that this installment is only about 50 pages I wouldn’t want to ruin it by telling you what happens. Just know that things start off where they left off in the first one. They get better, they have set backs.
RESISTS ME gives us some answers and it definitely turns up the heat. But it also opens up this story to the more emotional and deep storyline I was expecting to see from Ms. Hart. There is no doubt Simone and Elliott can be explosive together, but also there’s no doubt there will still be a lot of demons to slay. I expect the rest of this story will be heat, healing and self realization. I cannot wait!
I do wish this installment would’ve ended in a more gripping cliffhanger, though. Yeah, I know. Crazy of me to ask.
Megan Hart doesn’t hold much back. The first installment in this serial is not about love and the butterflies that come along with it. Simo

Megan Hart doesn’t hold much back. The first installment in this serial is not about love and the butterflies that come along with it. Simone has been watching Elliott late at night while he has sex with plenty of women in his office. She can see him when she works late in her own office. Until one day they run into each other in the elevator and she decides to try and fulfill some of her fantasies with him.
Keeping in mind the fact that this is a serial, and is hard to judge a character because you don’t know the back story and the reason why he acts the way he does, I have honestly say I wasn’t a big fan of Eliott. So far he’s come across as judgmental himself. I can’t wait to see him get knocked a few pegs down.
I think Simone could also work a bit on her self esteem. She hasn’t had a real relationship, other than a regular booty call guy and her voyeuristic moments peering into Elliott’s office.
I don’t know if I would consider this a typical Megan Hart read yet because we haven’t gone any deeper into what makes the characters tick. I will say that with the unconventional setup this has a bright potential for getting there!
For a first installment, I enjoyed this story. It caught my attention enough that I will want to continue with the next installment. However, I didn’t feel that the cliffhanger I was expecting at the end was all consuming as others. Yes, I want to know what happens next. But just as if I had the full length book in my hands and had to put it down for a bit. I guess I’ve been reading so many cliffhangers lately that leave me wanting to pull my hair out and sell it to get the next part that I was expecting more.

Well, this was totally unexpected. RIPPED was entertaining and funny from the very opening where our heroine, Hayley, is a bridesmaid at her ex-boyfriend’s wedding only to have her dress rip during the ceremony and flash the whole church. Alas, sexy, dark and brooding hero comes to the rescue. No, not the douche ex-boyfriend now getting married. The sexy Italian best friend whom she thought always hated her.
Niccolò is, yes as mentioned above, sexy as hell. And I always enjoy short stories where there is history between the characters because it makes the story more believable for me. Apparently Niccolò was always interested in Hayley. Knew she deserved better than his douche friend. After the break up, he was just waiting for the right time to sink his claws into her. That, and make sure she was over him. The events at the wedding just put everything into fast forward.
I loved the way the author dropped subtle hints about his feelings for her through others eyes. Things she hadn’t seen at the time but that showed a deeper level of care. How their relationship didn’t come out of nowhere for him and in reality not for her either since she usually enjoyed his company more than her actual boyfriend at the time.
Typical of one of these Cosmo Red-Hot Reads, you can expect to have a few laughs. Some strong characters, including a feisty female. And a whole lot of sexy! I have probably discovered another author I will go back and read more of.
