I found the characters quite fascinating, Allegreto... At times the need for secrecy felt by the heroine, although understandable, was frustrating -it would have been nice to have her actually confide in her champion at some point, but probably not in keeping with who she was or her expectations. So a rather heavy read, but good....more

Nonetheless a good read, some laughs, a few steamy scenes (not wildly probable, actually, but whatever, she is a widow after all...)and enjoyable dialogue. Very entertaining without being the read of the century....more

This one is fun because the heroine is a "spinster" author who decides she can't write convincingly about love without more experience. Reread it last year and was not quite as impressed, but still....more
