I was hooked from start to finish – didn't even put it down and finished it in one day. First time diving into a book by Hannah Bonam, and now I'm officially a fan. Definitely adding her other books to my to-be-read list!
Also how the characters close proximity and turning from roommate to lovers. Highly recommend this read, but heads up: it tackles themes like addiction and child neglect. So, they are a trigger, just a little heads-up. Can't wait to get my hands on more from Hannah Bonam-Young!...more

At first, I was struggling with the writing but it didn't take long to adjust. It really added to the eerie atmosphere, creating a spooky vibe that lasted throughout the whole book. The fast pacing kept me engaged, and the romance element was so cute!
Although the ending was somewhat predictable, I genuinely enjoyed the book. It's a great choice for some autumn reading, with its spooky vibes, and as a debut from the author, it's impressively well done! ...more

Didn't get out of bed until I finished it. That's how good it was. Saw other reviews where others are saying there is insta-love and I disagree. I read books where the MCs are instantly in love once they meet. But Gemma & Eliot started hating each other and gradually went to friends then to lovers which was PERFECT! Highly recommend this book if you're looking for an interesting new world and a beauty & the beast retelling
