What an action packed finale. But I’m mad it was the finale! I thought I had one more book in this story arc but nope. The next one is a stand alone :What an action packed finale. But I’m mad it was the finale! I thought I had one more book in this story arc but nope. The next one is a stand alone :( This book took everything to another level. There was a battle scene that took up a huge chunk right in the middle. And then a final fight scene that was great but characters I really liked died. And I’m a little torn on the ending.... curious as to how this will translate into the show! ...more
4.5 stars. After the long journey and set up in the previous book, this one MOVED. We get a lot of answers but even more questions. The characters are4.5 stars. I really liked seeing Ciri come into her own. Also Dandelion (Jaskier) is hilarious and I love him so much.
Sapkowski really plays with the narrative in this book. There are a LOT of view point characters and it jumps around between them and within time and yet it isn’t confusing. Instead it feels like pieces of an image slowly being filled in until suddenly you see everything in startling clarity.
Also one of the last scenes involving breaking ice and fog was SO tense. This has probably been my favorite of the main series thus far....more

City of Brass was amazing, but Kingdom of Copper managed to be just as thrilling, if not more so. The game has been set up, and in this book the players begin to move. I had NO idea in what direction the plot would unfold. The final chapters were filled with tension and tight pacing. I love that the conflict arises from people having opposing ideologies. You want all the characters to win, but they are at odds with each other. I love that Nahri really comes into her own in this book. AND THAT ENDING. GAHHHHH can’t believe I have to wait another year T__T ...more
