I was familiar with most of the story as I have watched the anime and Jdrama, but there were hidden little references and moments in this volume that helped to give my understanding of the story more depth. I also really enjoyed the author's autobiographical sections!
One thing I have always struggled with, with the anime, Jdrama and now the manga, is Shu's assault. It is framed as being deceptive and from the antagonist of the series, but I don't recall her getting much punishment for this in the anime and Jdrama, so I hope this is corrected in the manga....more

This, unfortunately, was not very good. It focused primarily on Diana and Unity, with secondary 'characters' of Nancy and Jessica, and supporting roles for Pam, Deb and Tom. Unity's controversial steadfast belief in Hitler and the Nazi regime is minimized to her being an idiot, and great pain is taken to try to belittle the fear that Diana, Oswald Mosley's wife and chief supporter, was not that big of a threat during WW2, or indeed at all....more
